Paul “ScubaMan-1970” Neem: I've been going to this venerable okonomiyaki eatery for ~30 years. Its signature dish is unlike anything I have ever had. The savoury pancakes are made fresh on the hotplate. I hazard gastronomic distress, and order 2 at a time. The pain's worth it. And what the heck are they putting in that dollop of mayonnaise?! If my relatives ever eventually visit the big smoke, I'll ensure they experience this place at least once. Re: parking. It's in the city's heart... so go transit or pony up for some pricey underground parking at the Manulife Centre.Parking: This is near Bay and Bloor, so I do not expect any easy parking. If I can afford to eat at the Okanomi House... I am willing to pay for underground parking. Heck, take transit to avoid the hastle.
Homiee Gee: Small but cozy place. Good food and good service. They dont take reservations and they dont take your phone number for a waitlist so you literally have to line up outside and wait til a table is available but the servers cleans up the tables fast so its not that long of a wait. Always the go to for one of the best okonomiyaki in Toronto.
Jp Kang: I was first introduced to this place in my university days so roughly 10 years ago, I was amazed to see it is still standing tall with lots of patrons still. I went back a couple months ago and am still amazed by the quality they put out. I love making okonomiyaki at home and just watching them is fantastic. I need to learn their ways haha but it is a great spot for savoury Japanese style cabbage pancakes. It is true art.
Matthew Kidman: As far as I know this place has been here doing the same thing well for decades. Such a vibe, tasty food, and as usual, busy but not full.They do not have high chairs but they will allow you to bring your own baby supplies.
Ichiban Noodles: I found this place while visiting Toronto from Calgary. I went seven years ago, and came back here twice on a 12 night stay.I love the okonomiyaki, and it's decently priced. They have different kinds you can order, like bacon seafood etc.They also have large portions when ordering beef or chicken teriyaki dinners.Keep up the great food and prices, and I'll be back forsure on my next visit to T.O.

The Katsu was overall ok, the Japanese Katsu sauce wasn't that great not sure what I expected but I was underwhelmed.Restaurant atmosphere and decor was very good.Negative points on service for having qr code menus instead of physical ones.
Nushaab Syed: Friendly service with an open kitchen. The fish used in the katsu is fried perfectly, and isn’t as greasy as it is elsewhere. The extensive selection of katsu sauces is great, and be warned that if something is marked as spicy it really is. The appetizers are not to be missed, the croquettes and takoyaki are delicious.

재영이: I was in a very bad mood because my flight to New York was canceled, but thanks to this restaurant I found by chance, I felt a lot better.The Japanese menu is also of a high standard, and the Korean food is really delicious. I went for dinner and lunch before going to the airport the next day, and I was satisfied with both the taste and service. We recommend that you make a reservation before you go. Yukgaejang, Unagidon, ecological soup, bulgogi, ribs, tempura, rolls, etc. Almost all menus are delicious.

Jerry Thres: My family had never experienced teppanyaki hibachi before so took them to Iron Chef. The front staff was funny and energetic but wished that energy was passed on to our chef. He cooked the food well but just didn't bring any energy 😕. Not much showing off the skills, not playing with the egg, not interacting much with the crowd, no sake, and it felt like it ended too quickly. The food they cooked was really good but I have to take one star away for the lack of energy 😢.
