WEJ: Contacted LA Music and talked to Sam a couple weeks ago. Sam was very helpful and after ordering, it only took about a week for my guitar to arrive directly to my home. Did the complete transaction online and it was seamless and I received updates from Sam on the status of the order via phone and email. I received great service for being a first time customer from another province having never met Sam in person or being an LA Music customer.I contacted LA Music after ordering the same guitar from another major music store online and waited over six months to be told that I had to wait longer. I cancelled my order after that runaround. Called Sam and as mentioned got the guitar I wanted in a very short time! Definitely encourage everyone to check out LA Music and talk to Sam when shopping for gear!

When they went to verify they had the item on the website, they realized they were out of stock, but then offered to upgrade me to a similar model that was the next teir up free of charge or some other options.Considering im a first time customer thats pretty wild. Shipping was very quick, and well pacakaged to protect the amp. They also followed up afterwards to ensure i was satisfied with everything. Steve Brock: I got into busking this spring - which has led to many visits to Long and McQuade on Rathburn for new equipment and accessories. I've dealt with several of the people there and they have all been great. I am not super knowledgeable and it would probably be easy to sell me stuff I don't need but I have found just the opposite. At times I have been respectfully talked out of purchase ideas I had that wouldn't do the job. My set-up is working great and I'm having fun! L & M has earned my repeat business - and this little review is the least I can do.

Was a bit surprised at the shipping fees, as for my location and order, I had to pay an extra $50 on top of the amount I had already paid for the completed order, but that's likely an issue with the ordering platform, and not the store itself.Although the packing box said that the contents were fragile, the box was delivered damaged, but again, this was an issue with the delivery service and not the store itself. The package actually got here in record time, with my instrument intact. The price was incredibly reasonable - the most I'd ever seen, which is why I jumped on the deal.All in all, any difficulties I experienced were completely outside the control of the store, and they did their best to make the experience as pleasant as possible.

I am a first time customer, called by phone out of the blue because the stock of other stores were generally too generic to have the model I was looking at. Asked about the guitar, asked personal opinion of rep who answered over the phone. It's also not a pricey guitar, so that can't be the reason I got great service. I called about the Steinberger GT Pro, even pointed out an item wasn't updated on the site. I expected to feel rushed, get attitude, or defensiveness, and definately not any useful input on the guitar. Instead I got calm straightforward input from Sam. They didn't have the colour in stock but offered the off colour and kept the price the same. I had never called before or built any 'rapport' to get to talk about the guitar briefly or offered a good alternative. Sam made it enjoyable and easy to deal with this store. So, I will be back.

admin80 Madhura: My kids started going to this music school in 2017. My oldest wanted to take private violin classes when they started violin in his middle school. Seeing that, my youngest also wanted to learn to play an instrument and he chose the guitar. My eldest son loved going to the classes here, unfortunately he couldn't pursue it after 2 years due to other priorities.My youngest son started his guitar lessons with Daniel in 2017 and is continuing it even now with the same vigor and interest even after 4 years and the credit goes to Daniel. He is such a lovely instructor and shares a wonderful rapport with my son. I often see my son giggling and enjoying his classes and his time with Daniel so much so that I changed his half hour lessons to one hour almost for a year now. Daniel is an excellent teacher who not just teaches but also encourages my son to try new things out of his comfort zone and also supports him when he wants to learn to play something new which is not in the book. He is open to suggestions from my son and thereby is nurturing his interest in music. My son eagerly waits for his music class every week.I also have to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude for Dan who runs the school. Many a times I have forgotten to keep track of the classes my son/s have missed but he makes sure that the make-up classes are arranged for. He voluntarily reaches out to schedule the make-up classes. He also imparts a lot of knowledge while buying new instruments and equipments. He also sends prompt reminders via emails for the payment of fees and it's such a time saver; one less task to remember for me. Whenever I ask for some schedule changes he works with me to find the best solution and also keeps track of it and reminds me even when I forget after a couple of months. He runs the place so efficiently.All in all I'm really lucky to have found such a wonderful music school for my son. 4 years back I enrolled in this place just because it was very close to our house. Now that we love this school so much I don't think we will choose another one even if we move. Thank you National Academy of Music!

Elaine Sung: My daughter started taking the beginner's art classes online. They are small size classes so it feels very personal.The teacher starts off with a 10 minute art history lesson and then they move on to sketching. They work on a different sketch each week so for Chinese New Year, my daughter learned to sketch a cute tiger. The teacher gives tips on how to sketch, how to colour properly, etc and is very patient. When the class ended, my daughter, who has trouble focusing, wanted to continue to work on her sketch so that is a good sign.I really like that the art teacher checks in frequently with the kids to see how they are doing and guides them/gives pointers without hindering their creativity. She also assured me that she quickly goes over the basics of sketching every class so it is okay if the child doesn't "get it" right away.

Also showed me some power chords so I could try out the feel of some of the guitars as a beginner.I walked out of the store with a guitar, but Jim told me if I find something on the website I prefer, to just give him a ring and he'll order it in for me, and I can exchange no problem.Week later I called him because I found the guitar I absolutely love. He ordered it in for me. I picked it up today, exchanged the other guitar and now have my wonderful Schecter Banshee GT.
