Cynthia then asked how she could expedite the situation and jumped immediately into action, contacting the funeral home on our behalf.While waiting for the release of the form that we required, Cynthia also inquired if we had found a suitable urn for Dad. She prompted us to retrieve the ashes from our car. Attempting to lighten my daughter’s burden, especially in lieu of the very difficult day that we had already experienced, she stated, “You can’t let your Dad get on the plane without pants, do you mind if take him and find him something appropriate to travel in?” We agreed, and surrendered his remains to the thoughtful and loving hands of Cynthia. Moments later, she emerged with his ashes beautifully contained in a lovely wooden box. She exclaimed to my daughter, “Now your Dad has some pants on and he’s ready to travel!” We were overcome with tears of joy! In a matter of two hours, the wonderful team at Tranquility Funeral Services Inc. had lifted our spirits, represented us with extreme professionalism, treated us with the utmost of kindness and respect, and honoured the memory of our loved one. Remarkably, they also refused to take any sort of payment for their services!Clearly, we were destined to meet these fantastic people! sharon elliott: I was present at the funeral of norm and John gray on Saturday, October 16, 2021 and I just wanted to say how wonderful the service was with the chaplain there. He certainly knew the wonderful man Norm was.
Debra Couto: I chose to go with Turner and Porter again after 10 years due to the compassionate and professional way they handled the sudden demise of my son.I used their services again on the loss of my dear husband in Dec. 2020. The people who work in the office were excellent. Special mention to Mr. Jeremy and Ms.Katherine.The experience with the funeral director was very unpleasant. She lacked compassion and wanted to control everything and acted in a very authoratative way , without consulting my son and me on sensitive memories which we wished to have at the service.I understand, the pandemic put restictions on numbers. However, in the church, she chose to challenge the priest on the presence of a pall bearer, a very close friend of my husband. She made him sit ouside in his car while she and her help sat in the foyer of the church. We selected a very beautiful flower arrangement and a portrait of my late husband to be placed near the coffin during the mass. She refused to bring and place it at the appropriate spot. When my son requested for it to be brought in, she gave an excuse which was not valid.The management were made aware of the issue. They did speak to me about it, but no sincere apology from the funeral director.She ruined the special memories that all family and friends around the world watching on live stream did not see. My husband's coffin laid stark and bare in the church, not becoming of the man he was!

She wanted everyone to be wearing colours as she didn’t want us to mourn in black. Of course I got in contact with Minnelle from New Haven Funeral Centre and she helped my parents and older sister set up their plan. Minnelle was so professional, went over everything so clearly, gave all the options, gave her valid opinions on things for my stubborn parents to look at things in a different way. She made everyone very comfortable and I even learned things about my Caribbean parents I did not know until this discussion. Yi Fei Song: Heather and Shivani was so supportive and warm hearted person, they organized and did an amazing job for my mom's funeral. The price is also very competitive compare to other funeral homes, I have checked and called a lot before I came to Affordable Funeral Service so I know they do have a good price. After being blindsided by Ripley's Funeral home on lakeshore etobicoke disguised as basic funerals where I was quoted one price and then when the time came they tried to slap me with a contract of 5 times what I was quoted. He advised me to sign up on his website and when a death occurred I could just call the number provided and complete the arrangement process with him. He was always available via phone calls or emails. The service for my mother was well planned and executed flawlessly. The clergy member was personable and added great character to the funeral service. He understood that we weren't overly religious and took that into consideration when leading the service. Ramez Habibzadeh: I Googled for funeral homes, read reviews and, was impressed with excellent reviews about Kyle Grundy, the director of Basic Funeral and Cremation Choices. So, decided to go to their office at 2408 Haines Rd #2, Mississauga, without making an appointment. It was early March 2023 and, Kyle was in a meeting. But, his assistant, after talking to him, told me he would try to squeeze me in between his meetings. After sometimes Kyle came out of meeting room, introduced himself, and guided me to another room so we could talk in private. I mentioned about my wife being terminally sick and that; I need information on cremation services, process, cost, etc. I had a bit of review-skepticism as some do but, after talking to Kyle I realized the reviews I read about Kyle were definitely true. He was attentive, good listener, passionate and, accommodating. He gave me the information and useful advice that I needed as well, provided me with printed booklets, papers which covered all aspect of cremation services, processes, options and, cost for each option. At the end, he asked me to call anytime if I needed further information or clarification. It was May 8, 2023 when my wife passed away at home. I called Kyle and he dispatched his people - very professional I should say, to remove the body to their secure and temperature-controlled place before cremation takes place. Few days later I met Kyle to pay for expenses and pick up my wife’s urn. Every thing that Kyle promised was delivered and, the expense statement was exactly what I expected. Kyle is amazingly kind and extremely passionate person to deal with. He cares for his customers because he appreciates their pain and stress. Thank you Kyle for make this painful process easier for me.

Brenda Gibb: When my son tragically passed away outside of Canada recently it was difficult beyond belief to both deal with the extreme grief and at the same time make arrangements to bring him home for burial, coordinate with funeral homes in two countries, as well as the very high expense. I contacted several funeral homes at the encouragement of family members and discovered they are not all alike, both in terms of service, compassion, and pricing. I felt guilty "shopping around" for pricing to lay my son to rest but in the end I'm thankful I did. He would not have wanted me to pay for extravagances that were not necessary and the prices I'd been quoted by some other funeral homes were quite shocking. Ultimately I chose Basic Funerals and want others to know what a great experience I had with them. They even allowed me to purchase a specific casket I wanted from a retail supplier and ship it to them, which was also a significant financial savings. We had a beautiful graveside service and a private family viewing of my son at the cemetery beforehand. I especially want to thank Chelsea for being absolutely amazing as a funeral director, both before and during the service. Kind, compassionate, patient and explained things so well throughout the entire process. She was outstanding in every way and I hope this message gets back to her. Thank you again for helping my family in this incredibly difficult time.
Base Ment: We used Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices when a family member passed away. They were compassionate and very responsive. They answered our many questions. We only needed a very basic package without many items that other establishments charged for. We shopped around and found their prices to be excellent and with no hidden fees. Highly recommended.

Post Family 2019: I was super impressed with the excellent service and transparent process of planning a direct to cremation funeral. I saw their website and took a risk and sent an email for information. They responded quickly and they were clear about the steps to the whole process and the costs. There were no hidden fees! I never felt pressured for a sale. They were very professional and when they said they would call or email they did so. The staff were so kind and informative and answered my many questions. The days of going to the funeral home and being given the “big sell” for stuff you are not sure you need are done. Online process, email tracking and accessible staff to talk to was exactly what we needed. Their prices were comparable and reasonable.
