Michael F: After having done a great job in servicing my snowblower last year, I took my lawnmower to Jim's Small Engine Repair when it wouldn't start a couple of weeks ago. Jim was able to do the service same day. I live in Oakville and have a few repair shops close by, but they all said it would take 3 weeks to get done, and the price was significantly more than what Jim charges. Jim did a full service, changed spark plug, cleaned the carburator, changed the air filter, sharpened and balanced the blade..and it runs like a dream now. Jim does a great job and provides excellent service at a very fair price. The fact that I travel from Oakville to his location near the Toronto airport speaks for itself.

Abdul Basit: Highly recommend.My snowblower was not starting so I called a technician to diagnose the issue. After spending hours, the technician did not find the problem. Called other repair shops but was told that the snowblower was junk and could not be repaired. Mind you, the snowblower was at most 3-4 years old and not cheap.Took the snowblower to Jim's shop and he said that he would take a look at it and I could get it as early as the next day. True to his word, Jim called the next morning informing me that the snowblower was fixed and ready to be picked up. He broke down exactly what he did to fix the issue as well as offer advice on proper maintenance of the equipment. He is knowledgeable, honest and charges a fair price for his work. I would highly recommend giving him a shot.

rob rosenitsch: Ray and George at Rovan diesel have saved the day when my 2015 Audi Q7 tdi went haywire and went into limp mode. My purchasing dealership queensway Audi told me they didn’t have an appointment till sept for me leaving me stranded. Rovan diagnosed the emissions issues, cleaned and replaced the filters vs net new parts and got me back on the road getting all the warning lights associated with many issues. The communication throughout the process was clear and concise so I new what and where they were looking for the next error code. I have my car back error free and driving without the carbon build up that caused the backfire and all the issues. I’m never going back to an Audi dealership as I will trust my diesel to the professionals at Rovan diesel! Thanks a million Ray and George! When feeling out of control with the technology of a late model imported diesel you did what you said within the budget discussed without throwing away parts that could be cleaned in your system and put back on! Thanks for what you guys do….I highly recommend anyone with a imported diesel car to reach out vs the run around at your dealer! 10 stars….
victoria de oliveira: Raymond and George go above and beyond. We had discovered them on google in a time of desperation to fix our diesel truck for snow removal services in the midst of a snow storm. Raymond was able to order the part that was needed and had it rush delivered. It came the very next day where George made the accommodations to instal and fix our truck. We are so grateful for their quick and reliable services. Not only where they so accommodating but very knowledgeable with Diesel engines which made us feel very comfortable in having our truck there. Not to mention, the shop is kept immaculate and you can see the pride in ownership.

Zaid Mousa: I have Hino truck with some electrical issues related to exhaust, and small diesel leak. Dealership wanted over $5000 saying diesel pump leaking need to be replaced. The guys here fixed the leak for almost no charge, just a line needed to be tightened, then they found few more other issues and fixed after keeping me updated all the time. Amazing experience , best part they diagnose properly and repair only what's needed. Highly recommended. No guessing work here

Lidia Majchrzak: Rovan Diesel is an excellent diesel shop. I have a 1994 3500 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. I would not take my truck anywhere else. Rovan Diesel is honest, provides excellent workmanship and is reasonably priced. When my truck would not start, I had it towed to their shop. They diagnosed the problem right away as a broken battery terminal. They replaced it and I had my truck back the same day! The total cost was $124.00. I thought I was looking at replacing the starter at the very least. Thank you Rovan Diesel!!

deborah azimian: A couple of months ago I was heading out, on a snowy day, to Toronto when my windshield wiper snapped off from the ice - so I popped by Rankin, for the first time, the owner personally put a new wiper on my BMW and I was off. The service was completed in 10 minutes for under $30 so I'll definitely return for more service.As well, I've heard from other Lorne Park residents that they've been going to this shop for years and have been extremely happy with the service and pricing.Service:Wiper blade installation

Carole S: I had an apointment booked down the street at Andy Auto to get winter tires put on. The apointment was booked 3 weeks ahead of time. When I got to Andy's Auto he said he couldn't do it despite having an apointment booked and told me I'd have to wait three hours. I drove to Rankin Auto at 545pm. T: he expertly diagnosed the problems and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong, what was causing it and how to maintain the machine. He cleaned up the machine, including the recoil starter, did a carburetor overhaul, installed his trusty fuel shut off valve and the machine starts with one pull and operates without issue!! I’m so happy to be able to use this in my garden again!!!Ron not only has expert knowledge but has a passion for what he does! He cares not only about the machines, but the people that bring them in as well. He is honest and an excellent communicator. He will keep you updated on the repair process and you can tell right away that he takes pride in his work and pleasing his customer. Thank you Ron - I will not hesitate to return should I need work done on something else in the future. In this “throw away” world - before you give up on a machine, swing by Ron’s repair and give him a chance to make your machine run like new!!!

Ken Anstruther: I took my 2008 Cub Cadet to Ron yesterday-March 7, 2023. It had a number of issues, but he took the time to show me various things to improve reliability, explained his methodology. Later he texted a number of things he found, including that he had started the machine successfully. I enjoyed our conversation and am looking forward to my next visit. Ron kept me updated from time to time and sent pictures and videos of items he was working on. When I picked it up, he asked me to video while he went over all the regualr maintenance points which I did and posted on my Youtube channel. He even helped me load and strap my machine up for transport. I am fully satisfied by my experience.

He even added a cut-off switch to my fuel line to prevent future carburetor issues. Something my last repair shop didn't even suggest as an option.I have no doubt that Ron truly cares about his customers and goes above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction. IMO, he is a true shokunin, a master craftsman dedicated to delivering the highest quality service.
