Hannah Schneider: Brux is always stellar, but it was extra special last night knowing that it might be the last time we dine there! Great service as always from Dylan and Eamonn. Food and drinks were great. The standouts were the broccoli appetizer and an exceptionally good negroni. Lots of good memories at this place, you will be missed!

Amanda Stewart Reiser: This has been on my list for SO long and I’m happy we finally got to try it. It’s a great spot on Locke in an old building, candlelit ambience and comfy booths. The food was amazing - pretzels, schnitzel and chocolate torte were all delicious. Solid beer selection and cocktail list as well. A little pricey but the meal was fantastic so you truly get what you pay for.
Olivia Adam: My first time coming here for my birthday dinner and I must say, everything about this place is exceptional. If I were put on death row, I would choose their pork belly as my final meal. Our server was lovely, the food was beyond amazing, and the whole atmosphere really tied in the experience. Left my boyfriend and I speechless by the end of our night. Phenomenal.
Tyler McGillivray: Really nice patio. The staff was very friendly and service was great. Service was quick and did not have to wait long for our drinks or food. The food was fantastic. One of the best chicken schnitzels dinners I have had. My wife had the seared trout and it looked almost too perfect to eat. The drink menu was quite extensive and had a nice selection. Highly recommend to check this restaurant out.

Sam Samida: One of the best restaurants in Hamilton period. Very unique menu plus nice selection of drinks. Dave is owner is very inviting and generous. Tried this place more than 20 times over the last few years. Leona Olney: Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the southern Ontario! The food is beyond amazing - all out appetizers were great, especially the duck liver pate. The trout and braised beef were so full of flavour. And the crème brûlée was a lovely light finish to the meal along with great coffee. The service was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is open and welcoming and you can watch you meal being prepared in the kitchen. The cocktail list offers loads of options and they have a really good alcohol free selection as well. Can’t wait to go back!Parking: Across the road- 1 minute walk to restaurant.

Human Scaffold: We have been going to Shakespeare's for 30+ years, and it is our go-to restaurant for all family events, anniversaries, birthdays and those nights when we simply want to get out for a great dinner. The service is next level, the food is cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is unique, warm that leaves on with a feeling like you're part of the family. The staff are an awesome group of characters that make you feel like you've been part of their family for years. Simply a delight at all touch points. Dawn Stowell: Exceptional experience. My reservation for two changed and I still went and very glad that I did. I ordered their Gluten Free Flourless Chocolate Torte. Tortes for those who don't know are made with a higher ratio of eggs and butter and as such a much smaller portion is usually the way to go. As a chocolate lover this was a fantasy come true. The density/texture balanced between fudge and a brownie was superb. The depth of chocolate taste was deep and luxurious. The sugar content was a perfect nudge down allowing for the chocolate flavour to reign. The presentation was lovely and the berries were carefully selected for peak ripeness and taste. They contrasted beautifully with the torte. I ordered a single scoop of quality French vanilla icecream for $1.50 additional. This allowed for a palette cleanser effect of sorts in between bites. I savoured this experience. My server was pleasant and not overly "nice,' and this was welcome and refreshing. For a Tuesday at 5 this restaurant had only two patrons, which was fine by me. My bill came to $10.74 and left enough room for a healthy tip. The server told me that the menu will be changing in a couple of weeks. I pray that when I return in about 4 weeks that this glorious dessert will still be offered.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are available.
Alan Strang: First time dining at Chagalls, great service and food, Sweet potato waffle fries could have been hotter, so fabulous waiter compt desert. He was a great server. Nailed my steak doneness right on. Our friends Cob salad and Jambalaya were also well recieved.Some of the decor could use some attention, overall a great pre- HPO dinner.Water with sliced cucumber was a refreshing touch.

I actually ordered the local IPA on tap and it was out, so my waitress brought another Ontario-made option in a can, just in case, rather than coming empty-handed. When she brought the bill, she explained that they didn't seem to have a price for it and she charged me half of what I would have expected to pay! Glad I chose to leave Honest Lawyer for this place instead. I had the turkey burger to eat and it was delicious, too!

Cassandra Gonzales: Pictured here are the The French Onion burger with Cajun fries and the Duck Wings with honey lime sriracha - damn delicious! The burger was hella tasty and just loaded with toppings. They didn’t skimp on the cajun seasoning on the fries at all. My only complaint would be to leave more of the meat on the duck wings, they’re so yummy. Oh, and their homemade ketchup is amazing!We sat out in the front patio, which they could definitely add a few more tables at. Service was SO kind and attentive. Definitely need to come back at try their other burgers.

Enough about that though because the flavor of the catfish was so great!Vibes were immaculate. Such a chill spot. D Lamb: Toby's hands down has the best 'home cooked' meals. Super friendly staff and the food is delicious. Clean environment and you feel like you're visit family for a meal. Matt is super friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back and try another meal. C. Lee: My coworkers and I have been coming here for about a year or so, and the service and food is always excellent. One thing I noticed that rekindled my faith in humanity is that Toby's allows a few houseless people sit and drink coffee when its very cold outside. Thank goodness someone in this city has a sense of responsibility for our fellow people. I hope Toby's never leaves Jackson Square!

Atmosphere is very chill and you don’t have to yell over the music. It’s actually quite zen. We got served by Matt ,who was so sweet and so pleasant. He was just the perfect amount of waiter. Just enough small talk and very attentive. Great customer service ,which is very hard to find lately. Thank you Matt. Hope to be served by you again on our next visit.

Nachos are like none you’ve had before, trust me they’re great. Pickled jalapeño and all the best things on one platter. Turkey burger was a bit dry but it had all the right flavours, even the salad accompanying it was amazing. One of the best beef burgers you can get too, such a great meal! Our food took a long time to get to our table though, about an hour of wait.

Michele Braun: Kudos to Aaron at The Diplomat Friday May 12, 2023. We arrived with a reservation that I had made in error for the incorrect day. The restaurant was currently closed for a movie shoot. Aaron took it upon himself to walk us over to The French and secure us a table. He was very friendly and professional but most of all helpful. We had an amazing meal at The French and a lovely evening. Amazing customer service, staff and food. Highly recommend both establishments!
