Biggar Lagoon Wetlands Bird Viewing Platform: what do users think?

Deborah Fahy: Hugely successful habitat reclamation project, now a birding hotspot.

wealllive together: . It should be noted that the mosquitoes left us alone when we sat on a raised viewing platform. If the ticks and mosquitoes weren't such an issue, I can honestly say this would be one of my favourite wild spaces. It's amazing that this spectacular and beautifully designed space is just steps away from a subdivision. But please watch out for the TICKS!

Adam Chambers: Wonderful little nature area, tucked away off of Winston Road. Parking is on street in select laybys only. Paths are patted down gravel, some mowed grass paths. Lots of swallow boxes, a wooden structure that gives you a heightened lookout point, lots of plants, flowers, birds, and insects. Not many places for shade. Beautiful open marsh setting. Great little place for an hour or two stopover, if you're looking for some outdoor time, specifically bird watching.

Robin Fish: Nice place for a walk, lots of informative signs about the area. Parking is available at the nearby dog walking area. There is street parking but very limited.

Janette Vantol: Bring along some birdseed and feed the birds from your hand at the bird feeder stations! The spring will definitely be something to look forward to this year...there are so many special habitat areas that have been added since I last visited anyway.

the WrightDebbie: Awesome place for birdwatching!

Dawn Larkin: What a wonderful addition to Grimsby. This area is so tranquil and serene. I love taking a walk in here after visiting GOTL. So many birds to discover as well!

Nicholas W: Great spot for birding or an evening walk. Beware of ticks, though.

Jody Mitchell: A great community effort!

Anthony Reid: Fast birds

Gary Fletcher: Great little viewing spot

Sarah B: Awesome place to see some cool birds

Rod: Great place to see many birds ! Free parking.

Nate Bosma: Great for birding - Greater scaups, Ring-necked ducks, Blue-winged teals, Bufflehead, and more; just to list some ducks visible.

jimmi hendrix: Awesome place. Beautiful

RBG Cootes Paradise Sanctuary: what do users think?

Adam M: Very serene Park, nice for walking and taking a break from the city. There are lots of trails to walk on and the view of the water is serene with lots of swans and ducks. I would have given 5 stats but I don't like that you have to pay to park and also that it is so close to the highway.

Renee Hill: great spot for a 5km run

Jen Rush: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

Casey Sandal: An absolute paradise. So relaxing. It's awesome to watch birds landing on people's hands for food. A beautiful example of human and nature existing together.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Sheryll Johnson: Beautiful trails, well placed benches. Lots of birds to seeVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Natalia Bogdan (Talia): Great little spot for a picnic or a walk. There are lots of benches and picnic tables in the area and it's not too busy. Decent amount of parking in the parking lot or along the road. You do need to pay for parking and it's $3/hour. The parking meter only takes credit or you can pay with an app. It's more out of the way than the rest of the RBG properties so a great little spot if you want somewhere quiet. There's also a small dock just by the parking lot if you want to use a kayak or canoe. There's lots of info boards to tell you about the wildlife and plants that are being protected here. There is also a bus that runs to this property too.

Sean B: Great placePLEASE DON'T FEED THE BIRDS OR OTHER ANIMALS!!

Ryan Hunter: Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend coming here.

Quar ant: I have been coming here for over 40 years. Part of the Bruce Trail. Good for mountain biking, jogging, hiking and walking. A few deer here and a medium-sized waterfall a few meters from the Scenic / Upper Horning entrance. There is a meadow at the northwest end.

Seth Pidgeon: Always love hiking there just got to be careful with dogs there are coyotes
