We are a volunteer band serving the communities of Southern Ontario and western New York. As a non-competing band, we participate in local parades, fund raisers, special events and Royal Canadian Legion functions. Our band has just celebrated our 50th year of existence and over those years we have had many exciting and rewarding opportunities as well as making many lasting friendships.

4worldlovers: Catherine North Studios is a 1500 square ft. open-concept music recording studio located in the heart of downtown Hamilton Ontario. The century-old converted church has been home to many iconic Canadian and International recording artists and albums including: City & Colour Feist Broken Social Scene Arkells The Glorious Sons Cam Kahin Whitehorse Loreena McKennitt & many more.
The recording studio is operated by Duke Foster Tristan Miller Will Crann along with a network of additional recording engineers and music producers. All of whom are all dedicated and passionate about crafting music recordings.
A beautiful and inspiring live recording room; with a collection of new & vintage instruments and recording equipment; mixed with our stress-free, safe, positive, and creative atmosphere - all combine into a rewarding and memorable audio recording experience - which further compliments the recording projects that we’re apart of.
The building was first converted into to a private music recording studio in the 90’s by Christopher Bromwich.
Dan Achen and Glen Marshall moved the original Catherine North Recording House into the main floor of the studio around the end of the decade and expanded to the rest of the building shortly after.
20+ years of operation has allowed the studio to grow with the changing music recording industry; while still maintaining the original studio’s creative energy with our “Artist Oriented Recording” and “Follow your Passion” mottos.
Now Mixing with downtown Hamilton’s first Dolby Atmos mix system, and other forms of Spatial Audio!
With over a dozen guitars - a collection of pedals - 3+ Drum kits - 15 amps

Louis Bursey: Tracked and mixed an album here. It was a very good experience, the space is beautiful, well equipped and sounds great. Will was the engineer for our session, and we were so happy with the results that we ended up mixing with him as well. Will was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process so much easier and more comfortable. I would not hesitate to record here again

Will and Tristan were so helpful and supportive of the students learning the ‘ins and outs’ of recording in a real studio!!! The kids enjoyed the assortment of guitars, basses and vintage keyboard gear too which they used on the track!Great experience all around!!

Marshall Lister: Great staff, great quality, super comfortable. Professional but friendly.After tracking a couple drum sessions here, I can confidently say that Catherine north has the best sounding drum room in southwestern Ontario.
Adrian Ellis: Great crew and an inspiring space. This is what you come for when you go to a full-flight studio - positive, passionate, extremely competent & experienced music production folks, and a place to create that opens up possibilities. CNS has this in abundance, and the main open concept recording floor is a wonder with its stained glass windows, proscenium arch and stage. Everything feels cozy with just enough grit to be welcoming and authentic, with lots of vintage and contemporary outboard gear, synths, amps, and instruments to get the juices flowing. Vibey as all get out.
Krista McKelvey: This team is remarkable - so friendly, everyone is accommodating and personable. I'd come back just to have a beer with Catherine North. Thanks guys! We'll be back soon!
Rose Cora Perry: The only studio where I want to do tracking going forward! Catherine North's crew is professional, accommodating and all around wonderful to work with. They are helpful with suggestions but certainly never forceful when it comes to respecting an artist's vision for their work. We look forward to working with them on future projects.
Jesse Adams: Catherine North Studios is in my opinion the best of the best. Will Crann and Emma Whale produced, mixed, and mastered my EP and upcoming album with a professionalism and creativity that is truly unmatched. I would seriously never dream of going anywhere else. Tristan and Mike are so wonderful to see at the studio as well! I have truly made lifelong friends here. Love y'all 3
Matt Farfal: Just spend the last 2 days recording here and had a fantastic experience. The space itself is beautiful, and there is loads of high quality, professional equipment and instruments that we were free to use. Not only is Will a skilled and talented engineer, but was very kind and helpful, working with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy with the results. I could not recommend this studio more to any artist, regardless of style or genre, who is looking to record.

Sam Dellapina: We hired Mariachi Fuego to play at our Mexican themed engagement party for 2 hours, and WOW, what a hit!!!They arrived on time, dressed and ready to play. We had them playing at the beginning of the night where people were arriving and it was SO FUN! They are such a talented group, my guests were blown away. The band moved around the party, playing at different locations in the backyard, and they created such a great vibe. Everyone raved about them!!!Thank you Robert and the rest of the band!!! If we weren't getting married in Mexico we would definitely hire them for the big day!!!

Babak Shalchi: For me Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the city's selling points. I usually get five concert annual subscription and I have never been disappointed. Gemma New is a fantastic conductor that had turned around the HPO in terms of quality, professionalism and livelihood, and has made HPO a world class orchestra. I wish more young people show up and enjoy the high quality music.
