Sonic Boom 555: The service and food were amazing!!! I have been eating food in this city for 40 years! If you miss the Sirloin Cellar you need to eat here! First class place would recommend it to everyone!

Tiffany Leung: I took my family of 10 here for dinner from China and they were incredibly impressed with the food, presentation, and the level of service received by Lois! Without question, they had placed our large group in a private dining room, our waters were constantly refilled and asked how we were doing. We ordered 3 bone-in ribeye steaks and a few of their sides, the 1000 layer potato comes highly recommended and did not disappoint. This place was a show stopper and would return for a date night for a more intimate experience.

We got the wagyu, 1000 layer potato, truffle fries and the cheesecake. Everything was phenomenal and excited to revisit.Service was great and nice atmosphere.Victorias and conversate are the two best restaurants in Hamilton.

We told our waitress Amanda, & she immediately told her manager Cara.We tried to finish it,by putting au jus on it. Near the end of our meal the Manager came over & told us that the meal was on the house. We were totally surprised & pleased..We only had to pay for our drinks. Caylee Spearing: Been here so many times would definitely consider it one of my favorite places to eat by far as a picky person I tend to have a lot of anxiety with going out to eat giving the fact that idk if they will have anything I even like but this place does not disappoint they have the basics like chicken strips and fries a killer Mac and cheese that's my favorite on the kids menu they have alfredo but if you ask they're nice enough to make it in a bigger size the restaurant it's self just visually looks very cool and rustic and the service is always amazing

Andrew Sparkes: Went out for our monthly family meal, the server Angie M was fantastic. Service was fast and accurate. The food was brilliant, the ribs and wings were great the meat fell right off the bone. The cornbread was sweet and moist. My kids enjoyed their meals too except my son who found out the chicken sandwich was to spicy for him 😆, but he finished most of it.

Random Llama: Came here with my aunt for lunch and was served by Andrew, he was very friendly and great at his job. I come here semi regularly and I prefer this location to some others I’ve been to since the servers are kind and the atmosphere is better than a lot of similar restaurants. I particularly love the skillet cookie, it’s often the deciding factor when considering where to eat since the cookie, ice cream and toffee sauce pair so well together. Andrew was also very understanding of my dietary restrictions and made sure my meal was altered accordingly, which is shockingly rare among other restaurants. Thanks for the great meal!

It’s very hard to find a place she enjoys, and even harder to find somewhere she approves of the bread but their french stick was to die for!The food was absolutely mouthwatering. The new york strip was full of flavour & juice and cooked perfectly.The staff was incredibly attentive and constantly refilling water. Clifford Quinn: This is a Favourite Place to dine in Hamilton, Ontario. We like to go with friends but my wife and I went out for my birthday, just us. Reservations are recommended. The meals here are consistently exceptional. Not open Mondays or Tuesdays. The wine and mixed drinks are reasonably priced. The Onion Soup and Shrimp Cocktail are excellent.Parking: Parking lot at rear of restaurant but lots of street parking.

susan behich: What a wonderful meal! My husband and I usually frequent the chain steak restaurants but decided to dine somewhere local. We are so happy we did! The old school atmosphere was enjoyable. Our food was delectable. We ordered the filet and the surf and turf. Melt in your mouth! The French onion soup was well presented and delicious. For dessert we had the Apple strudel and the chocolate cake. 10:10 meal. Highly recommend.

Aemery17: Had an amazing experience at the Waterdown Keg!Kerry our server was fantastic, polite and very attentive, even while training a new employee who was also doing a great job.The Dining room manager brought us our Lobster Gratinees which were perfect.The General Manager John brought us our sides when Dinner came out and checked in on us and made sure we were enjoying everything.Steaks were cooked to perfection and not a single detail was missed.The whipped 3 Cheese butter they use for the table bread is a new addition that we both really enjoyed!We will definitely be back to the Waterdown keg it is worth the drive!Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetarians just let your server know.Kid-friendliness: The kids plate and kida menu in general makes kids feel welcome and like they are a part of the upscale dining the keg offers.Parking: Lots of parking. No issues finding a spot but at busy times you may be far from the door.Wheelchair accessibility: Although there are places in the dining room which require stairs there is plenty of accessible seating. I would call ahead for a reservation or just to let the hosts know if you are bringing someone that might need to sit on the main floor.Dietary restrictions: The Keg takes Dietary restrictions very seriously let the host know on your way in and also tell your server and they will help guide you to the best options.

My family is both large and strange and we always get excited in public, so thank you to the staff for making it a special evening for all, my mother loved her 'alternative beverage'. I've not been to this location previously and so my only question is whether all the waiters are as handsome as Nick, or is he just exceptional? I suspect the latter but am open to a discussion about it. Thanks again!

KVan: I went in to read my book in the bar and have dinner alone. The server was incredibly kind, attentive, but also understood I wanted to read so did not hover. I read in the bar area, and although it was busy, I had selected a table that afforded some privacy and was a little quieter, which was really great for trying to read. Food was phenomenal! I had a baked garlic shrimp to start, which was very cheesy and the perfect size. I had the Oscar Sirloin, Chicago Style, cooked Medium Rare, with No Scallops and Garlic Mash. They gave me extra shrimp to make up for the scallops and the steak was cooked to perfection.A wonderful experience overall.Parking: Lots of space around and each spot felt close to the door.

Tonya Earle: Attended a 40th birthday dinner event for my sister in law recently. The atmosphere was great. It was a lovely place to dine in. The staff that were part of our group were exceptionally lovely and kind. The cocktails 100/10 for our mostly non-alcoholic group. The bar was lovely to admire with the lush ferns hanging from the ceiling and gold glided detailing around the glass and bar station. There was some unique art pieces which I absolutely adored especially the dignified giraffe piece by the fire place mantle.The food was good. I didn't get a shot of my main course which was the braised beef in a cream sauce and potatoes because it took so long to come that I rushed to eat it. It was good but I would have loved for the potatoes to be softer and crispy and not tough and crunchy. My appetizers was a pork stew which I absolutely loved 10/10. Everything worked in the stew. The spices, meats, veggies all blended exceptionally well.Definitely will recommend for a unique Downtown Hamilton experience coming from a Toronto lady who loves fine dining.

Michele Braun: Kudos to Aaron at The Diplomat Friday May 12, 2023. We arrived with a reservation that I had made in error for the incorrect day. The restaurant was currently closed for a movie shoot. Aaron took it upon himself to walk us over to The French and secure us a table. He was very friendly and professional but most of all helpful. We had an amazing meal at The French and a lovely evening. Amazing customer service, staff and food. Highly recommend both establishments!

The Certified Chicken Boy: was good, but for the price I was left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. The appetizers however were to die for - I don't think I've had a salad that good before, and the dessert was authentic and very enjoyable. The two young ladies serving my table were very kind and it was easy to see they were putting in effort to make the table's experience an enjoyable one. The location has some neat history, too. If you're not one to care for money or food too much and want an outing for a fun family experience, look no further.

I recently celebrated my 61st birthday at The French and to my absolute surprise, a special 8 course menu with wine pairing plus being seated being at the Chef's Table was awesome.The food, service, ambiance and conversation with the Chef, Somoliier and Staff was entertaining and very enjoyable. I cannot stop gushing about this restaurant and would recommend that you reserve a memorable night out at The French.....you won't be disappointed.

colin craig: This was my first time here and overall had a decent enough experience. We were there with a party of 10. One person had the fried chicken which was very overcooked and had to be sent back and another guest got fries with thier meal but it was a tiny portion compared to everyone else and had to request more be sent out. Those issues aside the rest of the good was good, cooked well and tasted good. Would recommend 👍

Warren: Just leaving a quick note to commend State & Main on their excellent delivery packaging. The food is pretty standard Canadian mish-mash fare, lots of familiar options and everything I've had here has been solid. But that extra detail of high-quality bag and containers sets this place apart from others. Well done.
