Wendy Ellis: In Emergency, great staff who provided good explanations and good care. Transferred to Mazankowski 5A5 unit where he remains for pending heart surgery. Wonderful, informative staff,on this unit, giving great preop teaching. Adequate visitor parking. Clean, tidy hallways, rooms and public cafes and washrooms. Pleasant visitor information attendee who gave great directional service.

Kirk Dewhurst: For a hospital it’s nice, I mean no one really wants to be staying here because that means you’re sick or had an accident. Maybe you’re visiting someone because of those reasons, either way it’s not the best place you want to be. That being said this hospital has a good reputation and is pleasant to be in. I was here to visit a friend and was able to find his room fairly easily. He has been taken care of very well and had good things to say about his treatment and the staff. I have come to this hospital many times over the years and have always had a good experience. As a side point, the restaurant on the main floor has good food and service and the staff is friendly and courteous. There is nice public artwork throughout the building and even an art gallery also. You can even find art work by Lucy the elephant.June 7, 2019Great care and attentive service from all the staff we met. I brought my father in for day surgery, reduction of the prostrate and kidney stone break up. He will stay overnight to make sure his urine is clear. He came out of surgery into the urology unit 3E3. The nurses and support staff were friendly and courteous. I can say that our experience was a good one. It’s not like you want to be in the hospital as a patient but if you were this place takes care of you. Of course this is the same place as University of Alberta hospital. There are several places to buy food and gift shops, ATM machines.February 11, 2020. Dad has been here for 5 days so far because he fell and broke 4 ribs. Besides that the more serious thing is he has congestive heart failure. It’s not great and hard to know what will happen in the next little while but the care received has been good. Dad is in a semiprivate room

Ron Hahn: Everyone I've ever interacted with here has been professional and helpful. Most are very kind and friendly and try to make an unpleasant time bearable if not almost enjoyable. This hospital is fantastic - and the food isn't so bad all things considered.

Kendra B.: but there was a nurse who helped my baby with his jaundice lights and gave him a bath. Calling him “ my little love” and treating him so sweetly. If anyone who works on that floor knows who I’m talking about please pass on she is so appreciated. I will never forget her and how she helped my husband and I stay calm through it all and how she treated my son. Jordan Lee: We had our breech delivery at the lois hole. They made my wife very comfortable. We dealt with a few doctors as we arrived close to shift change. Dr. Pattel was excellent when we arrived, Answered all our questions and listened to all our concers. All the staff monitored my wife very closely and helped with all we needed. Dr. Daniel did the delivery the following shift and was very excellent. They were also very prepared for every possible outcome.Recovery process was also very good, could not ask for any more. Excellent service all around.

Barbara Wasyk: Delivered both my babies here, most recent was September 2021. The care my baby and I received were exceptional, especially during the pandemic. I did have a cold when I was admitted so I was considered “isolation” but I never felt that impacted the care I received. I’m so appreciative of the staff with helping me have a safe delivery, despite how quick and crazy it all went. I’m so grateful for all the nurses and drs we have at this hospital!

Nikki H: I’ve gone here several times and can’t say enough great things about the nursing staff and especially Dr. Jiwa. She is truly a saint! She has a great bedside manner and will instantly put you at ease. All the nurses I’ve encountered here are very comforting and sweet as well. They make hard visits bearable. I’ve never had an issue with wait times either. Each time I’ve been here I am in and out pretty quickly. I am super greatful for this facility and the amazing staff.
