Our story begins when my dad built a new table for our family. It was to replace our old table and was never intended for sale. Two days later, it was gone, sold right out of the kitchen. The following table shared the same fate, and then the orders started coming in. Not long after that, RCW was formed, and in the years following, it grew beyond what the garage could accommodate to where we needed a shop. In the years since this move, we have constantly been improving the quality, expanding the products we offer, and continuing to offer top-quality custom furniture.

RCW is a father-son business where we handle every building aspect from start to finish. We make handmade custom wood furniture in Edmonton. Gerry and his crew built high end retail stores all around the world. As the Canadian dollar rose, focus switched to the local housing market, where Iconic continues to happily provide Edmontonians, high end kitchens and more.

My name is Gerald Dixon and I started Iconic Cabinets Inc. I want to let my potential clients know that I’m there for them. I have the experience and manpower to accomplish all your millwork needs.

My experience started with co-owning Sunac where I began building for some of the biggest designers in the world. My clients included Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, and Bulgari. I have been involved in building 8 stores on Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive, and numerous stores in New York as well as Hawaii, Brazil, Mexico. I sold my shares in 2004 because of the US/Canadian dollar exchange and got into the housing boom in Edmonton and started a millwork shop for Darren Homes called Interior Components Inc. Through Interior Components Inc, we built up a name for ourselves and had the opportunity to work on some of the best homes in Edmonton. Darren decided to shut down Interior Components Inc in September 2012, giving the employees and myself an opportunity to open Iconic Cabinets Inc.

We understand the importance of keeping the client informed and ensuring they understand what they are getting, so we eliminate the surprises by sending weekly updates, drawing all the millwork in 3D, building samples and getting them signed off. Doing all the work up front, so we can keep the unwanted issues away. Most importantly, we do our best to take care of everything so your cabinet dreams are effortless.
