The Marc: what do users think?

Heather Laird: and the salmon rillette. Both amazing and want to eat everyday lol! The mains we had the steak frites and Arctic char, both delicious but Arctic char stole the show! We will be back many times!Edit: Second time around!Always love the Marc! It was our second time here. We had a reservation but it was very busy and we weren’t able to be seated for half an hour, the wonderful hostess brought us some complimentary cocktails which was greatly appreciated. Charlotte our server was fantastic and personable as well as knowledgeable. The beef tartare changes apparently so it was different than our previous experience, it was great…just not as great as the original with a leek mousse which blew my mind! We had the fish and the boeuf bourguignon pasta…the fish stole the show again! Oh and the pot au chocolat is to die for!Parking: Free parking on the street.

Janice Kosak: Recommended dishes Beignets with Caramel, Duck Confit, Beef Short Rib Bourguignon

biasha mwamambo: What a hidden gem of a French restaurant! I stumbled upon this place and decided to try their duck breast dish based on a recommendation. I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The presentation was elegant, and the taste was divine. The tender duck paired with a delightful sauce left my taste buds dancing with joy. The service was attentive and the overall dining experience was fantastic!

Tom Angotti: I had the pleasure of dining with two of my best friends ever- we were inseparable in junior high and high school. The team at The Marc were aware of our reunion and supported us impeccably. If you ever need a special place to celebrate awesome times, do yourself a favour and make reservations at The Marc.

A Sabbagh: In the heart of Edmonton, this place offers a stylish and sophisticated setting, with a great ambiance, which is perfect for any kind of occasion; romantic, business or casual. The menu features a variety of dishes that showcase fresh, seasonal ingredients. The presentation is simple and elegant, and the flavors are bold and memorable. You must try the Scallops, Grilled Octopus, entrecôte and everything else in the menu 😋The atmosphere is sophisticated and inviting, with a mix of modern and traditional elements. The service is attentive, super friendly and knowledgeable, with a focus on making each guest feel welcome and well taken care of." 💪

Partake: what do users think?

sim s: Partake, located on High Street in Oliver looked like a great date spot. Great ambience inside. This place is very small inside and has 3 bistro tables that can seat 2 each and two booths that can seat about 6 each. I went there mainly because of the location and also to try out their drinks and food. The drinks were delicious but I was disappointed in the food. The portion sizes were tiny. The deviled egg was delicious but the French onion soup was so salty it was barely edible. Maybe it was an off day, I would go back and try other items on the menu maybe.

Tammy W: The seafood bouillabaisse was ok. Reminded me a bit of a Chinese stir fry with seafood. I enjoyed the cabbage with the sausage and the micro greens are always a nice touch! My favourite part was perhaps the garlicky butter with the escargots. Be careful while slicing the bread because it’s quite “chewy”. Caution splashing that blazing hot & delicious butter. The French onion soup is good but a tad salty for me. But I’d still get it again. The cured salmon was ok - I personally wasn’t a fan as I usually prefer smoked salmon.Would come back for the vibes but maybe for a drink + snack as opposed to a full meal.

Patricia Robichaud: Whoever designed the cocktails at Partake is an unsung hero. The list is small but mighty - all you have to do is list a few flavors you like and the servers do a great job of recommending an expertly crafted cocktail you're sure to enjoy. The food is also delicious! I would recommend coming here for cocktails and a few appies - don't pass up the deviled eggs!

Ryan Mior: Went here tonight for the first time and it won’t be the last.1. Cocktails were amazing. A ton of depth in flavour and impeccably balanced. Crazy thing is that at 14/15$ a cocktail it’s cheaper than my local dive bar cocktails.2. Meat and cheese board was bonkers. Some of the best combos I’ve ever had and you could taste the freshness.3. We had a bunch of mains. Too many to list but they were all unreal. Fish, duck, soup , and breads. All absolutely delicious.4. Dessert was also unreal. Smooth as silk crème broke and Bavarian cream with subtle flavours of passion fruit.5. Service was the kicker. All servers jumped in as needed and Cyrile was there showing us his craft. He’s a legend.Come here. Take your time. And, enjoy.Bon appetite

Elizabeth: This is a tiny restaurant that absolutely knows all about fantastic food. Being small keeps a very lovely atmosphere and makes you feel like you have other friends for dinner but it’s so private and well appointed. The food here is not to be missed. This should be on a tourists, “where to eat in Edmontons top five.”My husband and I found it by chance. Don’t miss out. We don’t intend to ever again.Five stars guys. Thank you.

KarS: Came here for a private event and was pleasantly surprised by the food, atmosphere, and service! The decor and furniture is stunning. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the staff are friendly and personable. Only complaint is that I was given the wrong drink, but they did not replace my drink for the correct one, nor did the comp the incorrect one.But overall, I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

Natasha Riddell: I got the opportunity to celebrate my birthday at Partake and I cannot more highly recommend this restaurant. The food was divine and the drink menu was stellar - which is not often something I explore when I'm out dining! It's very special when a place's drinks are on par with how amazing their food is. Can't wait to return!

Emalia Velasco: all helped make our experience incredible. Partake somehow meets the perfect balance of being upscale and high-end without being stuffy.Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly

Hayley Hahn: We recently enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The cocktails were delicious, and most of the food was so tasty. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices were reasonable. We can't wait to go back!

sierra cannon: I regret how long it took my husband and I go finally check this place out after hearing great reviews for years. We were greeted right away and chose seats at the bar, Reid was working behind the bar this night and was the ultimate guide for our tastebuds both for drinks options but food aswell.I think we ended up trying three quarters of the menu and collectively agreed everything was 5/5Special highlights to the French onion soup, Brussel sprouts, and the beef tar tar. We can’t wait to go back and have the French dip, escargot and duck tacos.I could see myself popping in here once a week for the French onion soup alone.Round of applause Reid, Chefs and Partake you’ve made able incredible lasting impression and we cannot wait to return.

La Petite Iza: what do users think?

Robyn Amber: If you’re looking for the prettiest patio in Edmonton, this is it. La Petite Iza is nestled into the river valley and boasts stubby views of downtown and the river. On our last visit we shared the Olivia’s and cheese plate, had the chicken and bouillabaisse for our entrees, and crème brûlée for dessert. Unfortunately the entrees were only so-so, the chicken was excellent but everything else was bland. The crème brûlée was lovely, as always.I keep waiting for La Petite Iza to improve their cocktail list, its very slim pickings and the cocktails are just …. Not good. However the patio seems to call us back, but we won’t go again for entrees annd cocktails. It will be a place to share a glass of wine with some olives and cheese.

Chris Pickering: I deleted my year old review so that I could add a new one. The team here has only gotten better. We started with oysters and escargot which was sublime. The massive steak was melting in the mouth and the frites accompanying it were flavourful and crispy. The chicken breast with mash was fantastic, the sauce divine. The menu hasn’t changed much in the years we’ve been visiting, but the service was what kept it fresh. Darcy the bartender made the birthday feel special. Our server Kevin was conversational and very professional. Really made my partners birthday special and we will be back soon!

Melanie COULSON: and my parents had the escargot. Both were incredible, and the carpacio in particular paired very well with our wine. For an entree I had the wild game feature dish which included elk and boar. YUM! And for dessert I had the bananas flambee which was phenomenal. This was our first time here and it will certainly not be our last! There were so many delicious sounding entrees that I am eager to try. If you are planning a nice dinner you should visit Normand's!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for a gluten free diet!

Dale Hildebrand: We have been dining with Normand for 34 years. Recently he hosted grandpa’s 90th. He personally looked after 16 of us all night. Service and food were excellent. So rare to have such great personalized customer service. One of the best restaurants in Edmonton – a hidden gem – try them.

Nathan Rosie: They had a huge selection and everything looked delicious, and it was an amazing atmosphere inside.

Louise Pham: I have tried a lot of Macarons from many different brands and stores, and I can confidently say that this store offer the best Macarons in town.I came here a couple times to buy Macarons and had an interesting conversation with the owner. I figured out he was a Chef at Fauchon - the highest level of luxury bakery. No wonder why all the macarons I have tried there was so tasty. They’re never too sweet like some other places. Buying from sweet treats from his store is like buying goodies from Fauchon with the same quality of goodies, maybe simpler packaging and with cheaper price.

Chelsey St Onge: I went in on Thursday and bought a cake for my employees birthday and it was one of the most beautifully created cakes that I've ever seen. I chatted with the owner for a bit while he was packing it up for me and he let me know how long they've been there and that there's a st albert location. Which is funny as I actually live in St Albert and had driven down there just to buy this cake lol He said that they do a kids high tea which I will definitely be bringing my kids back for! It's a beautiful shop and they have a large selection of gorgeous treats! Highly recommend!!

Jacqueline Kennedy-Green: First of all, so friendly and nice, passionate about his creations. Second, the vast selection of both food and baked goods - unexpected in this small unassuming little shop. Third, omg, the tastes. We purchased a variety of baked goods, and each one was the best any of us has ever had. The care and quality shine through. This was an unexpected discovery for us today and it absolutely made our whole day. I’m going back on Tuesday 😬. And I will recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you/Merci!!

Iris Albrecht: I had never before tried a macaron.Well, you have the real deal here. They have soo many flavours. Yes, they are cheaper by the dozen. But. You can not just go there for THOSE. Their occasion cakes are amazing. And really. A decent price. It's not Costco. But the service is excellent and they also have a luncheon menu. That's next week.Went back. Can't manage to leave without a selection. The croissants are wonderful, the mini ones are better, you can have 2 flavours.Oh, I purchased a boxed set of macarons, so good and fresh and in the most unusual flavours, from fruit to coffee
