Mamma 4Life: My family and I have used this locations for about 5 years. We've never had a bad excuse and have always been greeted and treated with kindness, and a readiness to assist us with our optical needs. Hanaa and Nab are such warm-hearted ladies and I couldn't be more happy with the service they provide every visit. The optometrists are very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I am confident my family and I can count on our eye care team at Village eye center.

Misty kuefler: I have been going to Capilano Eye Center for quite a long time but yesterday I was so thankful for the service I received. I had something stuck between my eye and upper lid, I went to see them in quite a bit of pain. They took me right in and were able to help. After they removed the offending particle I was sent home with some gel drops. I am so grateful that they were able to help and to help me so quickly. Their service is always great but I’ll never forget this!

Sadie Laurens: This place rocks. They're kind and compassionate! Dr. Corey Larson is a delight of a person to speak with and I'd trust him with anything. What a big, warm heart that man has. I will agree with the commenter who said Dr. Louie isn't great with his mask. I came in on one of Dr. Larson's off days and thought it would be fine, but Dr. Louie kept intentionally sliding down his mask while very close to me, even after I told him I'm immunocompromised. I also didn't say anything because I'm tired of trying to convince people I deserve to be alive with the minor inconvenience of masking and didn't see that comment until I came to post my own today. So if that's a concern, don't see Louie, but Dr. Larson and the optical techs have absolutely no issues with masking and recognizing that people with disabilities still deserve to feel safe to seek medical treatments. They get 5 stars because of everything else being so incredible. You can simply ask for Dr. Larson and you are in exceptional hands.
Sunshine K: Dr Larson is the very best. He's incredibly knowledgeable and will excitedly share information with you about your eyes. You'll never feel like a number or a checkbox with him, nor the front staff. Wonderful folks. They have exceptional glasses-fitting skills, as well. I do need them to sit a little tighter on my face but was assured I can come back anytime to adjust if need be. I am happy with them and have even recommended them to a co-worker.

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable! I believe it was Dr. Collins who did my daughter & I's eye exams and she was v e r y kind, understanding and willing to explain things to me about the exam like what certain tests are done for & when I should bring my infant daughter in next for another exam. She also showed me pictures of my eyes that were taken during the pre-exam by the receptionist and explained everything in detail so that I understood what she was seeing ex. the health of the veins in my eyes, the retina etc. She was willing to answer the questions I had too and wasn't trying to rush me out after she finished my exam. She was just warm and inviting and had a good energy.It was Angela that helped me find my frames. She pointed out which frames were covered by my insurance, calculated the price for other frames if I wanted to get ones that weren't 100% covered and pay out of pocket, which ones looked good on me but also gave detailed input on which ones complimented my facial features/which ones didn't, what colors looked good on my skin tone and which frame shapes looked good on me. I appreciated that a lot because I felt like she genuinely cared and she didn't rush me to make a decision. We were there for at least 10 minutes swapping through frames lol. Like these weren't just a pair of ugly glasses I'll only feel comfortable wearing at home, but a pair I'll feel confident wearing in public.The only con about my experience would be that I was told my glasses would come in in 5 days and I would get a call when they were there at the clinic ready for pick up, but I didn't get a call. They came in 10 days after.When I did go pick them up, I don't remember the lady's name that helped me but she took her time to adjust them to my head and made sure that they weren't crooked or too tight. She was friendly too!All in all, a great experience! Would recommend!

It is easy to find, parking is free, and appointments are on time. Before meeting with the Optometrist, various modern technological devices are used to get measurements of the eyes and their health. Dr. Kim Collins reviewed these measurements with me and used other tools to assess my vision. I would describe Dr. Collins as very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. My overall impression is that she is very competent and efficient in her work. I appreciated that she was also able to outline any potential eye health issues to monitor in the future. I was impressed enough with the quality of her work that I decided to buy glasses from this specific location.After the eye examination, I met with Angela who is the Optician and Manager at the Mayfield Eye Centre. She has extensive experience and her suggestions helped me to quickly focus on frames that suit my face. Angela is also very professional, and her competence is reflected by the confidence with which she helped me to select a frame for my glasses. I received the glasses within a week, and I am happy with the improvements in my vision as well as the compliments I have already received regarding the look of the new glasses.Finally, I was really impressed with the cost and believe that I have gotten excellent value for glass frames and lens of this quality. They also came with sunglass clip-ons that easily attach to the frames. Angela also supplied some cleaning fluid and cloths. Angela also recommended the purchase of OptiPlus Anti Fog Lens Wipes which have proven to be excellent at cleaning the lenses and providing effective fog prevention.

I have gone here for years and the last few times I have left unhappy. From being unable to use my coverage and wanting me to pay upfront to being ignored when looking for glasses. During a seasonal sale I was told they could get what I requested and offer the sales price, but when the item came in I was told full price. The doctor was great, but the front end needs some work.

Lindsay Ouellette: Ive been wearing glasses for 20 years. Lately I have been hating wearing them but never thought of the idea for eye contacts as my eyes are SUPER sensitive. I spoke to the Dr here, and he reassured me I could do it. We did an eye exam to confirm my prescription, then he took the time to help me get the eye contacts in. I was there for 45 mins! I was successful, left for a while, then came back to help remove them. It only took me 15 mins to get them out. He was very patient, supportive and understanding. He also provided me with some samples to try to see if it's something I can get used to or like prior to spending the money on ordering. Thank you so much for the visit yesterday. I got them in myself this morning. took 30 mins! I will be in touch soon!

Positron McHappy: were awesome. I may not sleep well for awhile, but so far, so great! Looking forward to follow-up, & meeting an ocularist in several weeks. I deleted my rant about past years, & decades with previous ophthalmologists; mostly, their ADMIN departments, & not offering me this option. I have hopefully moved on to a better present & future. And, as my body has aged, I am learning to explain dif forms of pain. Concussions were worst pain, but extreme eye inflammation, & maybe my future knees, back, etc., will require me to explain things better.Update: A month later, am pleased. Less pain/inflammation, which was most of my issues. The prosthesis via LeGrand NW Ocularists is perfect. Though, my eyelid may need a lift later. Will SEE, after the last of the swollen stuff heals. My lid was messed up with a bad eye for years/decades. I lived in 4 provinces so can't totally blame pros for not noticing any deficiencies, though I am also not oblivious to our system of not always listening, &/or justifying the cost. There are lots of Dr. DoLittle's across Canada, but Dr. Badilla is not one of them. And, his receptionists; especially Kirsten, know their stuff. Or, will get back to patients after escalating the question
