The historic Edmonton Keyano Swim Club is one of the largest and most successful swimming clubs in Canada. The Club provides programming for over 300 swimmers each day at 7 different locations throughout the Edmonton area. The Club has two programming streams - Junior Development and Performance - with 9 progression groups. We welcome all prospective swimmers to join our program. If you can safely swim 25m you are ready to join!
Registrations for 2023-24 season will open on August 8 for new members. Season starts Sept 24, 2023.

Swimmers participate in a variety of competitive activities including our own inhouse 'Bear Cubs' race series which provides a relaxed, informal introduction to competitive swim meets. As swimmers progress through the program they will compete regularly in local and regional swim meets.

Michael Womack: Have to say our daughter has been in the water since 6 months able to float at a year and competitive swimming at at 5. 1st couple of years it was a small town summer swim club. Then big city winter swim club and thos year we tried this one. Wow the level of coaching is outstanding! our daughter is a good swimmer but only after 2 days I can tell she will have a huge level of improvement. And the facilities and organization is the best one I have experienced

Beatrice Wu: My daughters have swam with Excel over the past year and I must say that I love this club! The atmosphere is friendly whether you are in the competitive program or pre-comp. Each kid gets a lot of individual attention and coaching to their specific needs. I can't say enough about our excellent, committed coaches. This is a pretty new club and I can't wait to see how it grows over the coming years.

Devika Khinda: I had the most positive experience with Coach Nathan. I went from fearing for my life in shallow water to actually doing a full lap without any issue and it is all because of Canyon Aqualife Swimming classes. It was a judgement free zone for adults learning to swim and coach was really encouraging. I’m thankful to Mona for accommodating my busy schedule and offering alternate classes to me. Thank you so much! You guys made swimming fun for me. I look forward to joining the intermediate classes in fall.
Omotayo Enifeni: I joined canyon swimming because I did not know how to swim. Mona was so kind to me in the beginning and assured me that they taught adults how to swim and she had no doubt that it would be a great fit. She was right and Nathan was a great fit. He taught me with patience, kindness, and made me very confident in water. Something I was NOT before due to past water traumas and stereotypes I stayed away from the water but after some time I made the decision to face this and do it. Best Decision Ever. Please do not hesitate!

He's very patient and comes with quite a wealth of knowledge on swimming. Mona has been equally helpful as well. Although I didn't sign up for private coaching, this almost felt like one. She loved it, always looked forward to her weekly class, and was excited to learn new skills. She learned quickly and was so happy about her confidence in the water. She also loves the idea of graduating to the next level, and you can see her effort in learning. Their instructors were fantastic; she loved her Coach Nathan & Jessica, as they were very skilled and made her feel very comfortable. I will highly recommend Canyon Aqualife Swimming.

Mona ma'am has always been very kind and nice to us. She alway helps us not only professnally but personally as well . Whenever they missed the class for any reason , she has always arranged an extra class for my kids. I highly recommend this place if you are a beginner and want to learn swimming .
Huong T: Had a very good experience. I couldn’t swim and by the end of it I swam 25 metres! Coach Nathan was professional and let you learn at your own speed and was very patient. It’s sad to see people spamming them because when I was sick, they never made me come nor did they refuse to give me my full service. Definitely worth it and would recommend!

Edna Su: Aqualife is the best. My son told me that coach Nathan is clear and concise with his methods. He's also funny and amiable. My son's swimming is only 30min long but coach Nathan allows him to extend his time to swim even up to 1 hour. Mona, the co-owner and coach Nathan's wife is also very kind. She makes it a point to keep us posted if there are changes in the schedule thru texts and emails. Jessica, their daughter, also helps my son achieves his swimming goals. Like her parents she's also very affable. My son already completed his swimming lessons but he still continues to join Aqualife every week because he finds it very enjoyable and he also wants to continue improving.
Huipo Tang: My two children and myself started learning with Canyon a few months ago, and I wish I have sent my kids here earlier. Coach Nathan pays great attention to each kid and tailor the teaching while maintaining the structured training. My kids started as “my mom said I had to learn swimming” to actually enjoy learning swimming and making progress. As for myself, I am guilty of having to miss quite a few classes due to work schedule and sickness, many of them being last minute. Mona has always been so accommodating and understanding. Communications with Mona and the team has always been clear, informative and pleasant since day 1.
