You can go in and browse, and once you have decided to try on a few dresses, that’s when they charge you $30. The fitting experience was breezy, the staff there are very helpful and friendly. Just don’t have your dress altered here. Go to Leo’s Tailor.I was just not happy with the seamstress. She’s never on time with both appointments I had with her, and having only 2 weeks left before my wedding day, for some reason she thought the pick up date is 20 days later. 🤯 If you are a bride, you know how this can be stressful. I asked for any sort of compensation for the delay, any inconvenience fee. But when I picked up the dress 4 days later than the original pick up schedule, I didn’t get any aside from an apology and a hug. I am not happy with her service at all. Yeah sure, she can alter the dress and did well on it, but she needs to respect customers’ time. There are so many other things to handle for a wedding and any delay is not acceptable.

Kaia May: I found my dress at Urban Bride with Steph's expert guidance! Steph was super friendly, not remotely pushy, respectful of my budget, and an expert in both the store's inventory as well as practical parts of picking a dress. She also was very mindful of how I might feel about being in a state of undress.I was in the pink fitting room, which was quite spacious. There was a mirror behind the changing curtain and two mirrors in the rest of the room, which made it easy to see both the front and back of the dresses. The lighting was pretty good too. Steph walked us through the store, pointing out which sections were in my budget and in my size, and we had time during the appointment to go through everything- though my budget made that a faster process.They had a wide range of prices, especially in the off-the-rack section. There was one dress for $250, and several for $500- though if you're reading this any later than August 2022 don't count on that. I emailed before my appointment to check if they had dresses in my budget and they responded very quickly.I had visited one other store previously and felt pressured by the stylist to have immediate feedback and change dresses faster. There was absolutely none of that from Steph, though she was still able to help me figure out what I liked and didn't like from each dress so we could get closer with each try.I left the store with a dress I loved, within my budget, and feeling really good about it! I love that they have little rituals for if you buy a dress- it gives you a second to catch up and enjoy the moment!

I had an appointment and had Wendy initially helping me out, the one downside was sharing a stylist, but they phoned me a couple days ahead and warned me of the possibility due to coming on a Saturday. Wendy multitasked between me and another bride wonderfully and was very helpful. I narrowed it down to 2 dresses that I loved, but had another appointment later on as I live 2.5 hours from the Edmonton area. I ended up coming back to David's Bridal as I couldn't stop thinking of the other 2 dresses. They did have some things for us to look at, while other stores had nothing, so that was a very big bonus. The staff, despite being busy, did their best to help and the one younger girl with redish wavey/curly hair was AWESOME. So thanks for trying your best to help us! We were not able to find anything that worked for us, but I do recommend giving them a try for all other dresses, and maybe what they had for options with bridesmaids will work for someone else.
