The beginner hockey program at the community center provides a non-competitive environment for children to learn skating and hockey skills. It is ideal for players who want to try hockey without committing to a regular season. The program focuses on developing basic hockey skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The cost per child for the entire season is $85.00. There is an additional charge of $38.00 if you would like to purchase a Jackrabbits jersey for your child. Please note that no partial refunds will be given if a session is cancelled due to weather conditions.

All participants are required to have the minimum hockey gear, which includes skates, stick, helmet with cage, and hockey gloves. Preferred equipment also includes neck guard, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin pads, pants, socks, and jersey.

The program will run in 1-hour sessions on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the community center's outdoor rinks. The first 30 minutes are dedicated to basic skill development, while the last 30 minutes are for scrimmage play. Each week, groups are divided into 2 teams for scrimmage play.

The community center offers a variety of activities and events, including mini soccer, volleyball, and special events like free pictures with Santa. The facility can also be rented for social events. The center provides a clean, modern, and welcoming environment for families to enjoy various programs and events.
