Shane Randell: Marvin was unreal, he was extremely on both menu and cocktails/beverage. The gave multiple phenomenal food and wine recommendations, while dealing with a large party group for a bachelor party. The food was amazing and the server’s recommendation and pairing were worth coming back. Please stop here, the service is worth is.
Tony Lee: This was my first trip back to Winnipeg, Manitoba, after so many years. I was extremely surprised to dine in such an high end restaurant in downtown Winnipeg. Hy's was, in fact, established in Winnipeg for decades, but I never knew it. The atmosphere and setting were so magnificent and classy. The service was very impressive, and the food was also good. The desert was prepared in front of my table with wine and hot flame. An unforgettable dinner.

Vitaly: I never leave a restaurant a 10/10 but this place exceeded all of my expectations. The guys in the kitchen sure do great work in the kitchen! Our meals were beyond delicious and premium level cocktails! But the highlight of our night was Tommy! He was beyond charming, super attentive, professional and you can tell that he loves what he's doing! 10/10 experience! Best Steakhouse in the city for a reason.
Ella Hernandez: Thank you 529, the meal was perfect. The appetizers were filled with flavour that made it hard not to finish eating. When the beef Wellington came, it smelt amazing. The meat could not have been cooked better. We had an espresso with dessert, which couldn’t be beat, and we were completely satisfied. The atmosphere had so much character and history, it was beautiful. Lastly, we have never had better service. There was nothing the waiter did not know about the food. He was attentive and friendly. We could not have had a better experience.

Tommy was very informative with the selections both in cooking knowledge and adding personal tastes to bring more perspective, he was a delight to speak with and knows how to crack a good joke or two! Tommy was super accommodating to our needs, and when needed offered solutions that he could provide that worked out splendidly. I honestly hope this review makes it to him, even if he is a seasoned veteran of the service industry, Tommy was what made our night a special one. I would go again in a heartbeat and request Tommy to be our server and maybe get a couple drinks with him after!

Dan G: Dinner is always delicious, can't recall ever having a poor meal there. While the prices have gone up, the portions are still consistent which is nice since a lot of restaurants raise prices and cut portions.Parking: Parking can be either very easy to find, or rather difficult depending on the day and time.

M D: I highly recommend the lounge.We have been coming here for years and you cannot beat the hot prime rib sandwich served with gravy and shoestring fries. The prime rib is perfectly done and so tender, gravy tastes like homemade. Shoestring fries look a little pale but don't worry, that's how they look normally and they are very good. The atmosphere is great feels like you have entered another time. Great service too. No one does prime rib as well as this place.

A M: The food is always good, and I can't recommend the Billy miner pie enough.On top of that, our last visit, the customer service, was outstanding. They overcooked one of our dishes, and they apologized multiple times, recooked the meal, took it off the bill, and added free dessert. I should mention that we did not complain. The kitchen felt it was overcooked and decided to redo it on their own. They admitted to the mistake voluntarily. Thanks for taking ownership of the mistake. Cheers.

Swearing yelling and making fun of people and generally being incredibly ignorant. No fault of the restaurant but it would have been nice if they had told them to keep it down or even keep it civil as we noticed kids were in the restaurant. Really did ruin part of our dinner but thankfully they left half way through our meal.Thanks for the free dessert for my birthday!We will be back and hopefully the patrons next to us won’t be so disruptive and rude next time.

Cory Schleicher: Came here for my wife's 40th birthday they did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but you have to pay if you want some good eating. The hostess was very friendly and very quick at finding us a table. Waitress was very quick at bringing out the starters and always on top of getting refills out to us in a timely manner.
