The Plaza at The Forks is Canada’s best and largest urban skate plaza and bowl complex, and has had the distinction of being sought out by such prominent skaters as Tony Hawk and Bam Margera.
The skateable sculpture Plaza is an urban landscape designed and built to tolerate the regular use and enjoyment of skateboarders and BMX cyclists as well as to sensitively integrate into the urban park-like and highly programmed setting that already exists. The Plaza at The Forks is the first of its kind in Canada (and possibly in the world) in its integration into the urban context in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg. The Plaza at The Forks has been made possible through a gift from The James Burns Family Foundation and support from CentreVenture Development Corporation.
"To continue to provide a safe and enjoyable public use park by having users of the park take ownership as Skateholders providing input and direction on how to best direct safety for those using the park."
The committee was formed in 2009 and meets regularly to discuss a wide variety of topics pertaining to The Plaza at The Forks and its users.

S Y: It is by far my favourite skatepark in the city. This hidden gem is very well-designed, especially considering its size.It has a few fun lines for the more experienced skaters, but also a small, well-placed halfpipe which is perfect for those new to dropping in and park skating. There's one long coping in particular which rises from a short 1/2 meter ramp all the way to the halfpipe, so once you learn to nail that rock-to-fakie on the smaller incline, you can work your way up as you become more confident.There's also a handful of other features, small boxes and rails, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a chill place to skate.

One of the oldest skatepark locations in Canada. Expanded in 2016 to provide more opportunities for BMX & Skateboard users alike.
Located at Gary Hobson Memorial Park /Fort Garry Community Centre. Good size skatepark with nice flow throughout the features. Beginner to intermediate.
In St. Boniface along the Seine River, this snake-run style, winding gully, is great for beginners. Happyland Park also has a Disc Golf course.
Smaller skatepark with a wide variety of features for all skill levels.
At Marj Edey Park /Varsity View Sportsplex. Multiple areas for beginners as well as challenging areas to get your shred on!
Located in Riel Park, this 11,000 sq. ft. plaza is great for the skilled skater.
At Red River C.C. Good size skatepark with nice flow throughout the features. Beginner to intermediate.
This open area style park is great for beginners and intermediate skaters.

Ja Sch: It's a good skate park with good features for beginners there's some nice flat ground.
Scott Richards: Nice clean park. People coming and going. Nice neighborhood.
Steve Ens: A little wet, but a great spot for baseball, soccer and skateboarding. Nice walking paths for a romantic stroll. Watch out for the skeeters.
Ryan Melquist: Good fun played grounders with the kids these new rules are the worst! Also have basket balls for use anytime in the parking lot. Please be respectful and return what ever you use!
Dragos Nina: Great new park with some really neat climbing obstacles. The slides are nice and the teeter totters are different. The only downside is the size. Just wish it was a little bigger and had some of the newer swings.
roadster2014 ?: Nice little park. Play structurefor the kids, skate boarding park for the older kids. Plenty of open area to kick a soccer ball or play catch. Turn in to park a couple cars off the street.

Mike Woo: Review written from the POV of a parent with small children.Parking is nearby, short walk to skate park, concrete.No bathrooms.There is a really nice wave feature that my kids loved, it did take them a couple of tries to figure out how much speed is needed.There is a really nice set of stairs/ramps that you can take to get up to the bowl, once the kids figured out how to push their bikes/scooters up they had a blast.The features are small to medium in size.If all else fails, there is a small playground in-between the skate park and your parking spot.
