The owner initially said he didn't want to take on the repairs as a new pair of gloves would be more cost efficient than a repair but after I told him about the sentimental value he took on the job. Bob Davies: This a jewel for the city of Winnipeg. If you have leather and need it lovingly cared for with value extra service and with an eye for detail then you need to talk to Mei Ling. SO helpful, and so artful in her repairs. She lovingly restored my leather jacket. This is where you can get beautiful leather gloves and solid leather belts like the kind you got way back in 1972. This is now my go to place for all my leather needs - and those are great. If you're driving West on Portage Avenue, it's on your right hand side in the building that has the 54 miles to Portage La Prairie sign on it.

They also have a scrap bin with different colours of leather if you have a smaller project and don’t need to get a full-sized piece of leather. Highly recommend this store!

L G: This place is great! I take my uncle there every 6 months or so and I’m always satisfied with the service. They will help you find what you need and hem your jeans for free right then and there. Friendly, helpful staff and extremely efficient. We’ve been going here for years for jeans , leather jackets, jean jackets and work wear. I highly recommend it!

Skot Moat: I purchased the 1 1/2" Acorns & Oak Leaves and the 1 1/2" Floral Eagle and they are stunning pieces. The quality detail and color rich belts are the best I have ever seen. I measured my belt size with their handy guide and the belts fit like a dream. Snug but not too tight. The quality of the hardware and the rivets are robust and weighty, the cut and the tooling are beautifully detailed and the colors are so rich and nuanced. They were kind enough to let me pick up locally at their charming home. These are pieces I will be wearing for a life time. Would purchase again without hesitation. Great work from great people.
