Vasana Sith: Food is delicious, service is friendly and quick. We got the steak bites to start, and I ordered the fried chicken and fries with curry mayo appetizer as my main meal and everything was great. I was not a huge fan of my friends gnocchi that she ordered, as the texture of the gnocchi seemed overworked. It was chewy and dense but the ragu sauce it was served with was tasty. Will definitely be back to try more items.
William Lau: that came with this really tasty sweet hot sauce. Not like a Thai sweet chilli sauce but more like a sweetened Frank's hot sauce. They were a great pairing.Next was a Ceasar salad. It was tossed really well with a generous amount of dressing, so everything was coated. Croutons were ground like breadcrumbs, so it was easier to mix in with the leaves for even crunch with each bite. The dressing was really good too so it could have been house-made.The included pasta was the Fett Chile. A fettuccini in a roasted red pepper cream sauce. Toppings included chorizo, chicken, and a small amount of red pepper not yet blended into the sauce. I expected this to be fairly savoury umami-like, but it turned out to be a mild sweet flavour. It's not too sweet as my companion loves this dish, too, and she doesn't like too many sweet dishes. I could not stop raving about this dish each time the server came by.My companions Vong

Angel PG: Overall, we always love the Olive Garden. You can't go wrong with the Soup, Salad and Breadsticks. There could have been more salad for the 2 of us with less croutons, but it's always delicious. The chocolate lasagna cake was UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!! The donuts had waayyyy too much icing sugar. So much, we could have built a snow fort on the plate lol Have noticed the Hostesses/Hosts are not as friendly as they used to be. Hardly a smile comes across their faces and not very welcoming. Our server was fantastic though!!

Everything about this place was great from the atmosphere to the food to the service. I recommend anyone who finds themselves in Winnipeg should try this place! Loved it!
Sophie Brown: Fantastic hidden gem off of notre dame. Our table had the burrata, arancini, calamari and many of the seafood pastas and every single one of the dishes were to die for. Generous portions for a fair price.The limoncello at the end is a nice touch. Our waitress was amazing, and even memorized our entire table of 8’s order which was outstanding. It did seem quite understaffed, but regardless she did an amazing job. Would highly recommend and return!
Brian Hiebert: This was our second trip to Nana's. Our first was around a year ago, and was great. On this trip the food was also excellent, and the service was impeccable. The only two concerns were around the charcuterie board, which contained a nice selection of meats and pickles, but only one kind of hard, VERY strong cheese. Second was that the interior needs some attention. Many of the seats are now worn out and torn and in desperate need of repair, and the clear glass lampshades above every table are very dirty. When you choose to have clear glass shades, you have to clean them almost daily.
Jepppy: Bit the bullet and ordered takeout from this restaurant, I always believe you jeopardize your food quality when you order takeout from a restaurant.I was so wrong on the food quality after getting home, food was delicious, portions were nice and the spaghetti carbonara, I never tasted anything like that before.Grate taste, everything tasted so fresh. Will be back, probably tomorrow. 👍
Kait Evinger: highly recommend! We had the osso buca, which was our favourite, cooked to perfection served with a savoury mushroom pasta. The insalata was fresh and bright with a really funky gargonzolla bite. Bread, along with everything else, is made in house and served with a quality aged balsamic vinegar and XVOO. The sauce with the appetizer meatballs was to die for, rich and layered flavours but not overpowering. There is a a serious sauce chef there, as the mussels also came with a fabulous one. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is surprisingly modern with each table having it's own alcove, providing for an intimate setting. Be warned though, portions are enormous! Little Nana's will not disappoint.

The light breading on the calamari, hot banana pepper, and zucchini appie served with a bright lemon cream sauce was a perfect starter! The fired up wheel of parmesan became affectionately known as the Cheese Wheel of Death... Picture a table side flaming ladle poured into a concaved bowl hollowed out wheel of parmesan... Now, picture the fettuccini with mushroom and bacon being tossed in all that melty goodness! Oh yeah... pictures! Plus, I came home with two or 3 more servings of the stroganoff style, broad noodle porc ribs, and some leftover spaghetti! Roger Hopper: Fantastic little Italian joint! Flavorful and authentic food, and great service! Bread with dipping oil is to die for, some of the best we've had. Nana's salad also very nice. Braised beef entree looked and smelled so good we started to split it between our plates before taking the picture! Huge portion sizes, as this place is known for and as our pictures illustrate. Espresso cheesecake for dessert was decadent, and little limoncello digestifs with it were a very nice touch. A must-visit if you are visiting Manitoba!

William Lau: Busy room when we arrived for dinner.Our server was probably in the washroom. Or something I ng as we didn't get any service after being seated. I had to flag the server for a neighbouring table, and she was surprised we didn't even get our waters yet. Our server eventually made her appearance when she brought our food. She came by often enough after, but there always seemed a little like she was urging us to finish up and leave after the main dinner rush left and the restaurant was empty.The food was good enough. Pasta was good and plentiful. Pizza tasted good but kind of soft and limp. I'm a little disappointed as I like a crispy bottom that is strong enough to hold itself up when you hold it on one end with a fold.Free street parking was plentiful in this neighbourhood, even at dinner time.

Brandi Povitz: We were traveling west through Winnipeg and needed an easy place to stop for something more than the Subway sandwiches and fast-food we had been eating on the road and a slightly more comfortable meal break. We found this place on Google maps and sent in a reservation request as we were driving since we would be arriving at dinner time on the Friday of a long weekend. Matt quickly replied and booked us in. The restaurant was easy to find and just a short detour off the Perimeter highway. When we arrived we were promptly seated and attended to. We enjoyed our salads and appetizers and everyone enjoyed their meals. The kids pasta was quite large. Unfortunately, as we were still traveling we weren't able to take home the leftovers. We would definitely stop in again on our next trip through Manitoba.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu was very reasonable and well priced. The portions were huge compared to many kids meals at the standard chain restaurants. The highlight for our kids was the rainbow bubblegum ice cream. They were quite surprised by their colorful dessert and loved it.

I'm so glad that my friend referred me and this is my new go place to for special occasions .
Gloria Bonan-Walcott: Every time we fly into Winnipeg, we try to have dinner here. From the time you enter, you are greeted with a friendly Ciao! To the left is the owners wine machine on display. This going back to his Father Silvio's wine making years. Fresh pasta, fried ravioli is so yummy, antipasto plate, fresh cheese, bread , salad, cannoli and a nice glass of vino 🍷 Take home homemade sauce&pasta.Owner Tiny, Lynda and servers Matthew and Kristina make you feel like your part of their familia.

Vasana Sith: Their beef tartare is one of the top 3 in the city. The mussels are the best I’ve ever had but sadly are not always on the menu. You can’t go wrong with ordering anything from here. Service is always fantastic and the atmosphere is just great vibes. The only thing I will say can be a downside is that their food is on the saltier side-and I’m someone that likes saltier foods.

They gave us steak knives for the pizza. My butter knife at home is sharper than that knife. The server told us that it was the sharpest knife they had. It was a real struggle trying to cut that pizza.The table was literally shaking while trying to cut the pizza. lol im bringing my knife next time 😊the lounge is quieter than the dining area.The tables in the lounge are round & small. You can barely fit 2 plates on there. The server had to add another table because there was no room for the 3rd plate even though there were just 2 of us.The server knew the menu & explained it very well .
