Carol Schlamb: We got a carrot torte cake for my son’s birthday, it was moist and delicious, the cream cheese icing was amazing. We always get our birthday cakes from here because they are simply the best in Manitoba. Everything is top notch. Their quiche, homemade bread and Italian sausage are favourites.

Sydney Leech: The exclusive upstairs dining experience was excellent for a special birthday evening. Several courses, the biggest and best charcuterie spread I've ever seen, with staff and chefs that were clearly happy to be there with us. Sidney Shapira: We always enjoy our excursions to Mottola Grocery in True North Square. As usual, we pucked up a still-warm rotisserie chicken, which turned out to be moist and tasty when we got it home. We also took home two scones for our next day's breakfast. We love the tomato jam and smoked olives, but didn't need any on this trip. We look forward to returning, soon.

My experiences at this store has been excellent. I've been dealing with this store and staff for a number of years. The staff pretty well stays the same. Profesional and reminds me of a friendly corner but larger.Kudos to the owners and all the staff. One more thing this store has am Excellent deli and hot food to take out. Home made food. Yummy
5 stars for my corner store, has most anything you need and a few extras. You may not get some of the array of exotic vegetables or fruits but they have a generous variety for a smaller store. Love going to my neighborhood store, know and talk with most of the people who work there. Always having a few positions for young students looking for their first job. Prices are comparable to its larger counter parts and in many cases lower.
Wonderful selection of produce, amazing in-store bakery choices and good deli too with ready-made dinner options! Some gluten-free options like bread and treats in the freezer. Very helpful staff. A one stop shop with pharmacy attached.
I love the nostalgic feeling this store gives me as my Mom and I shopped there years ago when it was Safeway. I love their fresh in house baking (black rye buns!), and prefer the meat section over larger stores. It is a smaller store so some items may be costlier. I buy my meat and bakery items here

john j johnington iii: This is a great alternative to the big chains that most people go to. The price can be a bit higher, but the store has that "real" grocery store feel to it like some place your granma probably shopped at.The bakery is excellent and the deli/food counter is very popular. You can find some good deals on meats. The produce is hit or miss, but when it hits it is noticeably better than the big chains. They seems to get bins of local stuff in when it's in season, but even outside of that, I've bought regular looking tomatoes here which were so flavorful and ripe that I thought about them for days.Post office is very convenient, but be aware the line can move so slow that a two person queue will take ~30 minutes to clear sometimes. Just bring your phone so you can kill time and don't take it out on the staff.Love having Family Foods in the neighborhood.
v mike: Customer for over 20 years, I really like the place, some of the products are much better than the competition and some are priced almost as double from the other stores (coffee-Ice cream- some veggies etc but, the main issue that I have noticed (that is why I write this review is the new staff, younger people with an excellent customer service approach and make the visit just a pleasant and enjoyable time. Totally new approach to business !! Congratulations !!
Space Moose: Lived in the neighborhood since there was a Rogers video where the pharmacy was and before then even 😂 most things are fairly priced and it's a quick stop for some cheap food for lunch from their deli.

They have the best meat in Winnipeg and at a very good price, and so fresh. I just love it,I am a semi- invalid and have such a hard time shopping, they are a life saver.NOW THE BEST. staff is so nice and friendly, will tell you if something you order and another product just as good is on sale, the driver Ed is fantastic, comes in loaded with groceries and never. Meat purchases are better priced than common stores and what would be considered 'ethnic' items and sold at premium are cost-effective.They have a huge variety of flours and rice as well and hard sought types can be found here in sizes that make the price more than competitive.One last thing, they have a large variety of items from middle-eastern/northern African regions that for those unfamiliar to explore and try. I highly recommend!!
