Mahyar Mirrashed: While the location isn't on the safer sides of the city, there is a night watch crew that can escort you to where you need to go which is excellent. The building itself is very modern and has an excellent, "new", feel to it.They have a large conference room and the staff there are super friendly. They also support numerous initiatives that benefit Winnipeg so that's always a plus. If you have the time, stop by and say hi and learn about the ways that United Way is helping out Winnipeg.

Waverley Dovey: Quite small store and each section is pretty small but all of the clothes are generally pretty good brands here! As with any thrift store the condition varies but it really makes a huge different when the clothes are better quality to start with. A good place for mens dress shirts and they even had a good range of sizes!

Galadriel S.S. S: They have free day camo in the summer and my child has gone the last 3 years. The staff are amazing. The location is spacious and chalk full of activities galore for the kids. They go in field trips to amazing places I couldn't afford otherwise. I can't say enough about this organization and the people who work there. My child loves going and always wants to return. An amazing place!!!! I have no doubt the other programs are just as amazing. Definitely check them out for mentorship and fun. Can't say enough.

Jennifer Petrasanta: Being a big sister has been one of the best decisions I've made. The case workers are great when matching you for a mentee, as I feel like we get along so well. At first, I wasn't too sure what to expect but you get a huge sense of fulfillment and joy once your mentee starts opening up. Note the time commitment if you become a mentor, as it is once a week for the first year, but they are forgiving if you miss a few because life. There is also the option of being a buddy, and there's certainly less of a time commitment there. As for the building itself, it's beautiful. Lots of places to have a meeting, but more importantly a huge space to hang out with your mentee with a kitchen and a large tv.

Tara Mathew: There are a lot of negative reviews here but wow, our experience was fantastic in the children's ER. The nurses and doctor we received were wonderful. They made our very scared 6yr old much more calm. Even through extreme pain they helped her smile and made her feel so cared for. When we arrived we were only in the waiting room about 45 minutes before being taken. Multiple tests were done on our daughter which had results quick and they took the utmost care to rule out more serious possibilities and not send us home with just an antibiotic. In the end, that is all we required but we so appreciated their thoroughness to make sure.Update: we've done been back to emergency twice and nothing has changed. The doctors and nurses are simply fabulous. They go out of their way to make kids feel calm, less scared, let them know what is happening, etc.
