jane jucemara lima: Wonderful

Neil Zhang: Museum was as interactive as a museum can get. Got chills when I saw the medal room. The tour was very informative but it did feel a bit rushed. Though the view at the top of the citadel made up for it.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

v 007: It's a historic fort where war between French and British

Ron Elder: Well worth a visit. Easy to access on foot, with great views over the city, river, and surrounding countryside. However, it’s still a working military site, so access to some areas is restricted. The information boards around the site are well done, and were certainly an education for me - e.g. I never knew that thousands of German soldiers fought with the British against the American invaders back in the day!

emilie durand: Very beautiful place steeped in history, don't miss the guided tour!!

Jonique Life: This is an excellent park, we were walking around here and about to go into a house when we realised we had to pay! There is a fee to explore this area but it’s a small fee which gives you a lot to look at. There is a lot of places to see and to learn if you are into this sort of history. We loved the views of the city from the different areas above.“Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

Nicolas Martin: Interesting visit to the life of the Wandake indigenous people, who lived here in the past. 2-hour guided tour, by a Wandake descendant, who tells you about the culture of his ancestors. A must do. Book from the website.

William Bernard: The Huron-Wendat Traditional Site in Wendake is a living museum that depicts the life of the Huron-Wendat indigenous community before the arrival of French settlers. The site is a reproduction of a traditional village, with a longhouse, sweat lodge, ceremonial tent, etc. The guide, a member of the community, provides extremely interesting information on the past and present life of the Wendat peoples, one of the First Nations of Canada, originating from the Lake Huron region of Ontario. The museum covers all aspects of their lives and current challenges as a living community, from living traditions, social values, religion/faith, to food habits and economic situation.I cannot stress enough how eye-opening this visit was. This was my second visit, but certainly not the last, and I plan to bring everyone I know, because I believe that everyone should visit this gem of a museum to understand the history of Canada, and especially that of the First Nations who constitute the foundation of this country.I highly recommend!
