Janette Yerling: Service was exceptional
Marc Sevigny: in the restaurant is lit with modern tubular lights that I found very harsh. I was facing that wall, and really regretting it. They should be turned lower significantly, or better yet, replaced with bulbs that have a much lower value on the warmth scale.

Cedric S.: Pleasant atmosphereVery good,
Nicole Goodspeed: was semi enclosed from foot traffic and opened to cute courtyard that was child friendly. They were accomodating and brought solid little high chairs ans coloring sets.
Kris Z.: Great dishes at good prices. The friendly staff will take care of you from the moment you enter. You can feel the amazing atmosphere of the place.
Charles Brunet: Third time last sunday and as always it was amazing. Great wine selection and nice cocktails. Decent-to-good service as you sometimes feel like the servers really want to upcharge you by excessively suggesting add-ons etc, but quick service as well, and I never ran out of anything. The food is amazing and really a great way to experience Quebec cuisine and produce/meat. All flavors are insane, and the portions are generous, leaving you satisfied and full.Personal highlight would be the duck foie gras terrine and the salted honey pie.

Hamza Raja: Opulent and classic. It’s a must stop breakfast place if you’re visiting old Quebec. Decent food options and friendly pricing. Would definitely recommend this place!Dietary restrictions: They are very flexible with how you want to order the food!
Gautam Sehgal: Recommended dishes Poutine, Pizza
Lizzie G: Had the bacon and pancakes! We went around 12-ish on a Saturday, so we were seated within 15 mins so that was great! I don’t believe they did reservations. It’s a cozy spot for sure! The COFFEEE WAS AMAZING!!! The waitress was attentive to make sure my cup was always full as well 😅.Would recommend popping in but you don’t need to go out of your way for it.

Arthur C.: was really not very good, according to my family.I had a very good evening.
Serge H. Malaison: One of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences in Old Quebec. We go there once and we are sure to return with great pleasure! An exceptional local cuisine prepared by Chef Arnaud Marchand, one of the first winners of the TV show Les Chefs! From the highly sought-after starter to the main course, you will have the pleasure of discovering the flavors. And what about the dessert that will take you to paradise...sugar but well balanced.I love capucino onion soup with mushrooms. For the main course, a great restaurant classic, braised beef cheek. And for dessert, the sea buckthorn meringue custard tart. A real delight!A very fine wine list can accompany your meal. There is also a nice selection of beers and various cocktails.I highly recommend a stop at Chez Boulay, either for lunch or even better for dinner in the evening. You will be delighted and it is official that you will want to come back with family or friends.Enjoy your food!Parking: Indoor parking nearby or city parking meters.Wheelchair accessibility: Without any problems since there is only one landing step.
Dannye Dubord: The best onion soup I've ever had in my life 👌All of our dishes were perfect! Impeccable service. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back!
Bella80 Lavaroise: I don’t know, I watch the show from Ivory Coast and it really makes my mouth water! Next destination Quebec restaurant at Boulay,
Philippe Lamarre: is amazing The restaurant itself is wood/kind of fancy forest well made decoration. Everything is clean. The staff is also incredible and happy/proud to work there. Not a tourist trap despite it's location.
eric thibaut: Pleasant setting, very friendly staff.Delicious dishes but a little expensive.Parking: Large covered car park nearby. It takes about a dozen dollars to eat.
Evelyne L.: After watching the show Les chefs! for a few years, I was very curious to finally taste it, too... When planning a weekend in Quebec, chef Jean-Luc Boulay's restaurant was the first that came to my mind. I had very high expectations and I was not disappointed! I ordered The Fisherman and it’s honestly the best brunch I’ve had to date! My friends also loved it. The service was, moreover, second to none!

Stuart Metzger: Recommended dishes French Onion Soup
Andy L: I came to Café-Terrasse La Nouvelle-France for lunch a while ago. The server was very friendly and helpful with suggesting a light lunch. In terms of food, I tried the French Onion Soup Trio: Soup, Caesar Salad, and Garlic Bread. The caesar salad and garlic bread were nice in terms of flavour and freshness, and the french onion soup was okay. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, especially considering the value, so I’d give it 8.3/10
Joe Bieker: Cozy little bistro. They specialize in the outdoor seating; even in winter, with fire pits and hot beverages. The French Onion Soup was the best we had all week, huge portion. The staff were friendle and helpful.Parking: It's in an alley in Old Town. It's walkable from anywhere on Old Town.
Melanie Cauchon: . They had Hot chocolate for the kids. I had their "Caribou", traditional hot mulled wine and brandy. My niece was hungry and they let us order bacon wrapped sausages from the restaurant inside and even wrapped it to go in case she wanted to keep eating it while walking.Beautiful atmosphere with Christmas decorations. A great stop while touring the city on foot.Kid-friendliness: We sat outside. They had hot chocolate. My niece was hungry and they let us order bacon wrapped sausages from the restaurant inside and even wrapped it to go in case she wanted to keep eating it while walking.
Stan Kuleshov: . Good service and great location
Hélène BRAULT ROSAY: If you like to be approached in the street you've come to the right place 🤔Personally, I ate a burger kit with plenty of fries. The rest of the tribe enjoyed their own dishIn short, well located, efficient, friendly service.Possibility of eating outside around a brazier
