Microplay Video Games Ottawa: what do users think?

Lin Wah Bazinet: Staff was very helpful and informative. Thank you.

Julien Gagnon: Old school video games place. Choices aren't that great, but still a good store to go to.

Grant: Always pleasant to deal with, we need more businesses like Brandon and his team. Great Job Microplay!

John S: Was able to get my favorite video game here.

Jp Marleau: Love going to microplay! They have a great selection of retro games and staff. Always love pre ordering game with them plus they carry “limited runs” copies of games. Highly recommend to check them out if you’re in Ottawa!

Steveo steve: Most of these shops are pricey, but the staff are friendly, and actually lots of good finds.

Loulou27 mclean: Good services

sloane: and not only did they have both available, but they also ordered another game I was looking for! The staff working was super helpful, and never once spoke down to me or tried to up-sell me.It was an amazing experience and I'm loving the new console

Nick995: I got my copy of spiderman 2 on release day from them. I didnt even have to preorder it. microplay had so many copies that day. Im very happy i stopped by that day.

Iqan Heydarian: They’re cool

Rico: One of the best video game stores in Ottawa. Staff could be a little more social/helpful but overall a great store for its wide variety of inventory.

Simon M: Maybe I went at the right time, but this has probably been one of my best experiences at a retro game shop.I was travelling in Ottawa and decided to stop by this shop and was met with countless deals being offered at the time such as buy 1 get 2 free on Xbox and Xbox 360 titles. I mean when was the last time you’ve seen that?!In addition, the presentation of the store was solid, lots to look at and neatly displayed. So overall if this shop keeps the selection it has and it’s competitive prices I’ll definitely pick some more games up when I’m in Ottawa again.

Jessee D.: ¹ Place is great for some oldies & new ones. Recommended for all gamers out there² The place is good for classic games and new releases. I recommend for all game magnets

GameZetera: what do users think?

John M: Easily one of the best retro gaming stores in the Capital region. Their selection of classic console games and wide variety of Funko figures is fantastic. Well worth the visit.

Julien Gagnon: Great choices of video games and prices are decent. However, if you're interested in PS5 games choices are limited.

Aaron Artindale: This place is crazy... great knowledgeable staff, good prices, and full of old classic systems and games.

Rhonda: My son loves playing video games and found this store. We have visited it multiple times! I have always found it to be very organized and friendly, knowledgeable staff as well. Thanks GameZetera!

James McCool: Bit pricey but you don’t have to pay for shipping. Great selection and staff

John O'Connor: . However their selection of other NES games was quite limited. I also noticed that some of their prices seemed high, but not overly expensive. I thought that the service was good and overall the store was great. If you are visiting, I would recommend asking for the game, they house a lot of titles behind the counter.

Robert Lariviere: Lots of older games reasonable prices

Ryan Dilamarter: Definitely worth checking out. I've been coming here for a while now. The store has a lot of variety and the guys that own it are super friendly.

James Frizell: . They have quite a few NES and Sega cartridges on the shelves. Lots of games for Switch without cases.

Lorne Kerzner: Just got helped out by Shane while buying N64 games, super helpful and polite. Will be a returning customer

Rob Larson: Awesome retro store! Games, cards, ect... Huge selection and great pricing!

Gaming Kingdom: what do users think?

Adam Boudreau: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very good with young kids. Love their selection of games.

Fae: Very quick to respond to custom inquiries and very helpful.

Jérémy Daigle: Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Thanks again !

Kristina Hartling: Incredible customer service - always nice and helpful! The store is clean, organized and well-stocked! The staff has been so kind, patient and helpful to my son.

Asim Cevdet Kaya: Pretty good quality cheap price nothing really over my expectations tough

Tedra Leroux: he was hosting and did not make us feel rushed or unwelcome.Thank you for the positive interaction.

Daniel Hoffman: As a Senior, I know very little about anything gaming, but the lad at the counter was patient and kind and took his time to help me out. He was very engaging. Made great suggestions. Nice. I do have one idea that I would like to throw out to the gaming World- the next business that offers "introduction to gaming" for seniors, to explain all the differences between X-BOX, Playstation, et. al and HOW TO USE the STUFF and games is going to make a freaking fortune. We have the time, we have the $$$ - we have the Grandkids. Knowing more about their interests and how to USE them would make us all much more informed. So, there is $$$ to be made here - who wants to step up??? I was not born with a chip in my head, unlike you 3 year olds in Mommy's stroller with an IPad. I used DOS. Remember that? Rotary phones? Dewey Decimal System? I can read an analog clock. I can hook up a stereo to a graphic 10 channel equalizer on a phono system, amplifier and AUX !! I can program a VCR clock!! HA! BOOMER PRIDE! Take that you young whipper snappers...!Great store!!

GameZetera Orleans: what do users think?

Marie Gravelle: Friendly staff good selection always a go to on our list when going into town!!

JGBDB: Very kind and knowledgeable staff - we were let into the store a few minutes before closing and could browse without being rushed! So so appreciated :D Cool stock that stands out from some other retro stores - my favs were the loose DS cartridge bins and the Nintendo earring rack! Super cool place with a great collection & awesome atmosphere!

Aayush Edassery: amazing store

Isaac McConkey (Kong The Drummer): Whenever I find any retro games at this location in Orleans still bring back great memories for me I still love shopping there and I have no issues as a customer the staff are very nice and I never say no seeing some familiar retro games that I love playing. I recommend this store for anyone who still play retro games and etc.

Jaimie Dufresne: Whoa! What a blast from the past. These guys have some very cool vintage systems and games. It would be very cool if you could rent a system and a bunch of games for a friend's weekend get together or something. Great place. Friendly knowledgeable staff. What a gem!

Brian Lee: For anyone into retro gaming, this is the place for you! They have consoles and games throughout various generations and merchandise. They also sell hockey cards. Sometimes, you will come across a rare title like Snatcher on the Sega CD, which is on sale for $1500! Also be advised that Google maps says this store is located at the beer store when it's really on the western side of the plaza.

Joel Racine: Unsurprisingly the retro video game market has increased all around, so don't be surprised at higher prices! Slighy smaller, and with less products then the original Game Zetera, it's still one of the best spots for retro gaming and convenient for being on the other side of town. If you are knowledgeable about video games , you're sure to enjoy this place. These guys will give you the most for your games if you know what they are worth.

purple paladin: Amazing store , would highly recommend

TND Video Games: what do users think?

Josh Taylor (CdnHockeyNut94): Staff and owners are always great to deal with, whether I'm buying or selling, no matter how busy it might be at the time! Great place to go for any era of gaming, especially if you're into retro gaming, whether it's to add to your collection, or you decide it's time to trade in yours!

Marco Iacono: Joe and Dave are wonderful and their shop in the Flea Market has become a staple in my weekend routine. Super fair trade value and incredible stock of games. Check out their YouTube channel and follow them on Facebook to stay up to date with them. Can't recommend the lads enough, super happy I've become part of their community.

Mathieu Saindon: What an absolute hidden gem of a store! Visiting this place is a must for anyone who loves video games. The prices are very fair, and the owners are super helpful. I walked out of there with items that were a much better fit for me than what I had originally planned on buying. I am definitely planning on returning regularly. Highly recommended!

Jp Marleau: I’ve been shopping here for years and I LOVE IT. Dave & Joe always offer the best customer service along with very good pricing on their video games. There were a few times I purchased games that didn’t fonction and had no problem exchanging for another copy. They respond quick and are amazing to deal with.I enjoy going a few times a year to enhanced my collection. I’m from Orleans and it’s worth the drive on Sundays. Highly recommend to check them out! They got everything.

Wheel Deal Repeat: I've been to the store a few occasions with my kids but have sold video games to Joe multiple times over the years. Always the level of professionalism I'd expect and a willingness to answer questions regarding retro video games. This place is tops in my book and I happily recommend TND over any other retro store in the Ottawa area.

Adam M: Great selection of retro video games. Fun and helpful staff!

Cole Norman: If you’re looking to purchase used video games and are in the Ottawa area this is the place for you!! Dave and Joe both run a great business in the flea market. They are always welcoming and make game hunting in person a lot more enjoyable. If I can, I always would rather support local stores like TND as they are the ones keeping physical media alive. TND is definitely my first choice to go to when collecting games.

R D: We went to the outdoor sale today and picked up some amiibos and original NES console. I can’t understand ppl complaining about prices. They have great prices and they always have a few gems that are so cool to see! The whole team is beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Great suggestions and amazing customer service. If you’re on the hunt for video games for all consoles this is your place!

Jordan Scheuneman: Great store . Amazing service all the time.

Coco T: The guys are knowledgeable and helpful and they have a good selection. The prices are pretty reasonable and in line with market price on games.

KK: my boufriend like this store

Andrew Wright: Great selection, competitive prices, knowledgeable owner. Can't wait until the next time I'm back in the area!

Umar: A hidden gem in Ottawa! Great selection with some very reasonable prices. Definitely a must check-out for vintage game fans / buyers!

Alex Marchand: Great selection and courteous staff that know their stuff. Prices are very fair!

chelle • KidKulit: that I have been unable to find at video game shops in bigger cities like Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa and at very reasonable prices. Plus the owner is super friendly and helpful. A true hidden gem!
