Sheldon Klootwyk: I don't do a lot of reviews, but can't help but share how amazing this place is as a local pharmacy. They are so friendly and quick to help. I'm not there very often and I still get greeted by name when I walk in. I've come in and had a prescription filled within 5 minutes. I'll never go back to one of the big name pharmacies. This is the spot and would encourage anyone to give it a try.I use for all my prescriptions and vaccinations.

Dale Thompson: We had to bring my dog Heidi in on an emergency basis. The staff were professional and very kind. Dr. Niu saw us in a timely fashion and explained everything very thoroughly. She had to stay overnight for an X-ray and IV fluids. Dr. Galway called the next morning x things were not getting better. She was 13 1/2 so we made the difficult decision to let her go. Eva Demers-Brett: On Sunday my dog Maddy started showing signs of discomfort and wouldn't stop biting at herself. The clinic staff were very kind and helpful on the phone as well as when I brought her in. The wait time was very reasonable, especially since this wasn't a life or death emergency. We were seen by Dr Ian Niu who treated us with lots of patience and kindness. He was able to diagnose the issue and provide us with medication that immediately started working to help Maddy be more comfortable. Price was also very reasonable for a visit on a Sunday. Dr Niu was so kind and compassionate. It’s obvious he loves animals. Everything was explained perfectly and I felt so safe in leaving her there overnight. With semi-regular updates before and after her surgery, the staff were all so lovely. From front desk to technicians, they were all friendly and compassionate. I’m happy to have Karma home, happy and healthy. I can’t thank them enough for all they did to save her.

Anca Condoiu: I had my golden retriever girl admitted for a day with scary digestive problems; we were at the clinic at 3:00 am, the doctor examined her, she had right away blood test done, and the advice was to monitor her and hidrate her properly, so she stayed in the clinic for 24h. I went back there after work to see how she was doing, spoke with another dr who explained to me in detail how she was progressing; after we went home I had some different fears that brought us back, scheduled in 1/2 hr after I called, she was seen by another dr who clarified wth me the issue, had some more blood test done at my request, got the result in no time, dr explained very well everthing I needed to know. Excellent communication with everybody at the clinic, receptionists, doctors, technicians, all very nice and animal lovers. Highly recommended!
Sun Shine: , receptionists and our veterinarian, Dr. Pulman have been excellent. Our dog’s are very fearful/reactive and they have been treated with nothing but understanding and compassion. Communication has always been excellent and prompt. Dr. Pulman also helped alert us to a significant health issue in our dog that was later treated by a specialist. Prices are fair for a major metropolitan city, and we continually choose to return here despite a two hour drive from where we live.
Nadia Chowdhury: I brought my dog here for intestinal blockage surgery, and they saved his life. The entire process, from start to finish, was well supported and I was given ample information. They kept me checked in with regular calls from the doctors, and answered my questions whenever I would call. No matter where you go, the procedure will be expensive, so I feel that cost is irrelevant to this review. They were professional, caring, and supporting the entire time and I am very happy that I have a reliable pet hospital I can go to now. Thank you!

Zachary Resnick: The staff is so caring and helpful. Highly recommend, especially for small animals, such as rabbits or guinea pigs. Not all vets specialize in these smaller critters, but the Carling Animal vets know their stuff.

Again Dr. Clement took care of him. Any Technician or Veterinarian at this clinic will treat you and your pets with kindness, understanding and will provide medical care second to none. Their front desk service team is also very good. They go out of their way to help you with appointments and take the time to explain any item on the invoice you just received.I would like to also mention that while not being run by the hospital, they have a groomer on site that is really good with grooming small and large pets. She does not push medication unnecessarily. I gave 4 stars only because when I needed special food for my senior cat they seldom had it in stock even though she was a regular patient.

The front staff is welcoming and easy to deal with. The vet we dealt with is knowledgeable and explains the medical side clearly. Their love and care of both pets and their people is obvious. We have had them care for our little Pug-Boston for many years.Our family recently had the unfortunate circumstance to be sold a cute young kitten with a well-designed transfer form from a seemingly trustable source under the notion it was dealing with a minor ailment and on the mend with the typical medication. All the usual shots and fixing were already completed. We were given the invoices of care, medications and tracking information. We had bought all the things to care for our new addition.In reality the poor little kitten had a serious life-threatening disease and had to be put to sleep only one week after it was transferred to us.Those on the office team who worked with us and Dr. Holzman showed incredible speed, compassion and responsive support as we went through this shocking and unexpected process much too early.It was very sad to see the little boof suffer as we waited just the few days for our appointment even though he had the proper pain medication for the time between. He was literally in dying before our family's eyes.Dr. Holzman adjusted her schedule in this unique situation to ensure the kitten was given the final deserved care he needed. We appreciate and commend her dedication. In the end, poor little "Brogle" is now where he should have been a lot time ago and not suffering in confusion and pain.Thank you Cedarview for the extra special care and your love of of the animals in your care and your trade. You are gems.
Carina Wang: Absolutely stellar experience at Cedarview Animal Hospital! Dr. Sparks and RVT Lisa Scheuner are incredible - patient, friendly, and incredibly understanding of my sensitive pup. They took the time to ensure my dog felt comfortable, which meant the world to us. The receptionist and all staff members were also exceptionally kind and welcoming. Can’t recommend them highly enough! They’ve truly been a lifesaver for us.

Kiera Mei: I don’t often post reviews, but I had an amazing experience after visiting the clinic today with my cat!! The service was GREAT, super quick, and you could really tell that everyone really cared about the pets there. Dr. Limbrick was so so nice as well as thorough while examining my cat. The clinic also has a lot of in-house testing so it won’t take days/weeks to get back results for your pet!! I had a bad experience at another veterinary hospital, so I was wary of taking my cat to a new clinic, but I am so glad I did because CAH and their service really blew me away. Thank you so much!!
Robert Van Tassel: Quick service and friendly staff. Welcoming environment. They love seeing your pets come in and know all of their names. It is a welcoming, full service environment they even have a coffee bar. They have a website which allows you to track your appointments etc as well as a site to order food for pick up or delivery.

Carolyn Strauss: Wonderful animal care. Our experience of VCA Canada Alta Vista Animal Hospital has demonstrated the range of expertise, and the caring, professionals who look after our animals. Any procedure or specialty required can be provided. This animal hospital and veterinary clinic communicates well with clients and always follows up on tests or progress of sick animals. The vets may offer a full range of modern tests which can seem financially daunting; however, they will be the first to explain what is essential and what is less important to the wellbeing of your animal. In my case, our vet likes us to have one of our dog’ s teeth cleaned annually and has explained why. However, she is understanding that as retirees, we can’t do everything each year. The best thing about Alta Vista? The confidence and peace of mind it instills in us.

The team was NOTHING but kind and understanding, as they cared for his seizures and neurological effects after the fact. You can tell that each and every person working there truly loves animals and is there for the right reasons. I have been there in times of extreme financial hardship and better days and am treated the same way regardless which is definitely not the case for most clinics. Not many vets will personally come onto the phone to ask questions and give advice when your hands are tied and you can't bring your animal in for a day or two but Dr. Patel really goes the extra mile. This community is lucky to have him and his team.

Ayan Ahmed: My 3 month old newly adopted kitten was having bloody diarrhea and vomiting early this morning. I called around to all the vet clinics and nobody would see her except this animal hospital. The ladies at the front desk were great and I was able to see Dr. Patel right away. She had diarrhea in the exam room and he had it tested asap and prescribed the appropriate antibiotic and deworming treatment, he also treated her brother. A technician cleaned her up, which I reaaaaally appreciated. Pricing was fair and less than I expected to pay. They were back home and sleeping an hour and a half later.My girl is a bit of an escape artist but Dr. Patel has quick hands and she was caught each time she tried to make a run for it and go exploring.
v f: Great because they offered a same day appointment for my rabbit which most vets in Ottawa don’t see, and rarely have appointments on a short term basis. Cost is cheaper than other places I’ve went to in the city and is reasonable. Veterinarian was helpful in explaining and answering questions, was gentle with my rabbit while getting the necessary assessments done. Staff nice, no complaints

Dawn Ruel: They were able to accommodate a last-minute appointment for my pet this morning. Customer service is amazing. They treat each animal like they are a movie star upon entering and during their stay. I do not remember the Dr. name as she was new and did not have a card. Sha was loving, informative and gave me many options. The assistant was equally as professional as the doctor. I highly recommend Bayview Hospital.

Da Re: We switched to this clinic for palliative care for our little dog, after having some issues getting her care. Everyone at this hospital was phenomenal. We were in a very difficult situation, and I felt supported, and like they were there for our family 100%. When it was time for her final quality of life assessment, Dr. Elder was clear, but at the same time incredibly compassionate. We lost our little pup at the end of October, but I will always be incredibly grateful to everyone at Bayview for their support and compassion throughout the hardest thing that a pet owner has to go through.
Kaitlyn: Really great staff! It’s just really hard to get an appointment if you have something acutely wrong with your animal. Usually an appointment takes at least a month.
