Here at Cogneato, we specialize in creating handcrafted wooden toys and novelties. We believe that eco friendly, sustainable, well built wooden toys are so much more meaningful to children than all the cheap plastic toys that fill stores. Everything is handmade with love and care that every child deserves in a product made for them.

We're a family run operation with a lot of experience woodworking. How do we come up with the toys we make? Our kids tell us! We put in the care and effort into every project as if we were making them for our own kids.

As much as we can, we source local, sustainable, and eco-conscious woods and finishes.

From our own experience, we know that everything ends up in our kids' mouths. It's not even a quesiton. That's why we use non-toxic and food safe finishes like beeswax on all our products.

The sensory bin/mailbox arrived quickly and exactly as described. My granddaughter loved sending mail as soon as soon as the bin arrived. The craft work of this scavenger hunt tokens are impeccable! Each one has a lovely image along with its name for the children to understand and read themselves, either through visual or written print. This set brings lots of fun and joy into our nature preschool program!

We bought this for our son’s 3rd birthday and it was a huge hit! He plays on it every day and so does his 18-month old sister. Love that the triangle folds and can be tucked away when not in use. We went with the ladder rather than the climbing “rocks” because we wanted our younger ones to be able to use it as well - very happy with that choice.

We ordered the custom coloured pikler. We asked for Mario themed colours to match my sons room and it turned out great!
