Nancy Schruder: Hertiage Academy has changed our son’s life. We are thankful for this school.In the public school system, he was getting lost, and not learning anything. Our worst fear was that he would not graduate.All that changed when we enrolled our son at the school.Our son is learning, enjoying going to school and flourishing.We look toward to his high school graduation and to celebrate the great student that the school has helped him become.The motto of changing the environment where your kids learn so they can bloom is part of everything the school does.They take your child, figure out what kind of flower they are, what environment they need to learn, grow in and provide any supports so your child becomes successful.The teachers, and staff at the school are fabulous and really care about our son. Ms. Cheryl is exceptional as the principal, professional and so good with our son and all the kids.At the end of the day, Hertiage Academy is worth every cent we pay to send our son there.

Without going into detail about her experiences in the public system and what brought her to the school, I can honestly say that the school was a safe place to land following some hard days. She doesn't have any learning exceptionalities but needs accommodations for other reasons. Everyone has been amazing, and she feels supported and believed in. She loves it.

Natalie Filiou: My son was struggling at his high school. The school was not equipped to handle his needs. A student with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder and anxiety, he struggled to be understood and to get the support he needed. Thanks to Ms. Ward and his AMAZING teachers, my son excelled at Heritage Academy and graduated in June 2023. He will be attending Algonquin College in the Gaming Development three-year program in the fall. Our family is beyond thankful. We have our two other sons, also diagnosed with ASD and anxiety, attending the school- and we know they are in good hands. Thank you!!!!

But when our first child was ready to start junior kindergarten, that school only offered half-days. So we enrolled our daughter at Westboro Academy. It had a great reputation, and we had friends whose children were thriving there. Our intention, however, was to move to our local public school for grade one. Fast forward eight years, and we now have three children at Westboro. Like our friends' children, ours are thriving at the school. They are enthusiastically learning about math, science, social studies, and the arts, all in a bilingual environment. But they are also learning how to be a supportive friend, a reliable neighbour, a responsible citizen, in short, a good person. And they are incredibly happy in the process. We have friends who, for various reasons over the years, have taken their children out of Westboro. Most have promptly returned; those that have not, because they cannot, miss the school terribly. Hearing about their experiences has made us appreciate what we have in Westboro all the more. It truly is a great school.
