Yasmin M Boytel: This little cocktail bar honestly reminded me of places in Montreal or even when I was in Europe, it was the perfect spot for a date night in Ottawa! The cocktails here are super creative and you can tell the owners take their time and care about the presentation and detail. We had tons to talk about on the menu and the dressed oysters were out of this world. The place is quite cozy/intimate with it's atmosphere so highly recommend getting a reservation!

Rochelle Lachance: My boyfriend and I had so much fun here last night. Our waitress was great, friendly and fast. We had pizza, with pickles on it and I guess it was deep dish or something but oh my was it ever good. Something about that crust! Overall atmosphere was a hit, the DJ had awesome music which really made it that much better. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, it was very lively. Definitely my cup of tea!

If you're looking for a place that will treat you as you treat the staff, this is the place for you. Punk rock, metal and rock is one the menu.Great ontario microbrews and shots. Great little patio out back for those hot summer nights. Unfortunately it's not wheelchair accesible as far as I know.

Shelby Masterson: The staff at Senate Bank are out of this world!!! They take the time to get to know you no matter how busy it is; I always feel at home and well cared for. Our server, Kate, gave us exceptional service and ensured we had everything we needed…. as well as a good time! Dom, our bartender, made sure our drink service was speedy, which may have been due to his cutting-fashion hair cut! If you’re looking for a good time with a personal touch, head to Tavern on Bank!

B D: Wonderful first experience here. As it was a Monday afternoon, it was pretty quiet. Overall the service was friendly and attentive. The food was really good! Shared some nachos first and had a pulled pork sandwich. Nice sized portions and really tasty with a nice bit of kick to it. Decent beer selection as well. Definitely worth another visit.

I can’t say enough of how amazing was the service at the Senate on Bank. Definitely six stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kid-friendliness: We took my grandson who quickly made friends with another boy and two girls during the Liverpool game. The kids had a blast.

We had a massive group come in to watch a cup final soccer game at 9:45 in the morning in which they had to open their doors early on a Sunday. Special shout-out to the GM Steve who had less than a week to prepare but was incredibly hospitable and accommodating for all of us ensuring that everyone had their own space to enjoy the match.Service was 10/10, me and some friends each got pitchers of the Senate Lager which was the perfect pairing for a soccer match and the food was top notch as wellIt was a memorable experience for us all and we look forward to watching more Liverpool games at the Senate on Bank.

Jackson “Food Man” Ford: Went in for some late night drinks with my fiancé and brother. Actually came from the brig because the service there was terrible as usual. When I arrived, I was seated right away. It was pretty busy, but our server was very quick and knowledgeable. We had the all you can eat wings with beer. The wings were consistent and well sauced. 8/10 on the wings. The beet was cheap too and ice cold how I like it. 7/10 on the beer. Now, where this place struggles is the volume. They don't have anything to absorb the sound, so it can get unbareable at times. At one point, I couldn't even hear the person standing right next to me. Definitely soured the night a tad, but it was still a good night.

sub zero: My kind of place! We were visiting Ottawa and looking for a good place to get some drinks and live music and was recommended the Laff by from some other locals. Place was absolutely jam packed and there's nobody to help you whatsoever so we felt very uncomfortable and out of place for the first 15 mins until we finally found someone who gave up their seat. Overall though still had fun and enjoyed the local Ottawa Yummy! IPA. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking the dive bar vibe, just isn't super friendly service

The food menu has a bit of everything, the wine list, well equipped and the ambiance is great. It can get quite loud however due to its compact size and density of seating. I know where to sit to avoid too much commotion and chaos at this point but if you sit in the back against the wall, you may notice the decibel levels rising too high. Overall a sweet spot!Vegetarian options: Halloumi cheese, gnocchi without pancetta, fries.
