Andres Leon: Joel cares about player experience, and is open to feedback. Great experience so far! Also, the league has a family atmosphere to it!
Danielle McGolrick: I’ve played co-ed soccer in this league for a few years now and it’s great. I really appreciate that Joel takes the time to get to know teams and place them in a division that’s appropriate for their skill level. Through getting to know the organizers, refs, and returning teams, it also creates a strong sense of community. It’s competitive, but there’s an emphasis on sportsmanship and respect. Overall, I’d recommend this league to anyone.
Jonathon Tyler: The owner comes by to check our games bi-weekly, hires excellent and friendly refs, and has an omnikinball, what's not to like? A+ sports establishment, hoping the province lets it open up soon!
Mark: is extremely personable, and it's obvious that he wants his players to have a great time in a safe environment. I'm very surprised that there are any poor reviews at all. I've been playing in the league for several years, and although I have witnessed the occasional player become too competitive or unreasonably upset, management and the refs have always been quick to diffuse the situation, which makes me wonder if those reviews are based on a very specific incident.
David Pike: Played in this league for over 5 years. Great for all skill levels. Joel does a good job making sure the teams are competitive. Sportsmanship is great, fun prizes/events after every season!
Melina Wishart: I've played both in the multi-sport and soccer leagues for over 7 years and I highly recommend them both! The leagues are well run and the organizer does a lot of work ensuring your competitive needs are met no matter what level you're looking to play at!
Tracy Holloway: I have played Soccer and Multisport in this league for the past few years! I’ve had a great experience and really appreciate the work Joel puts into making this experience enjoyable.
Raymond Lam: First off, don't sleep on the multi-sport league! Best all-sorts-of-sports / multi-sport offering in town.Have played in the Ottawa Rec Sports multi-sport and soccer leagues for many, many years and seasons, and it's always been an awesome time!The leagues are well managed, fully refereed, come with some great perks, and are full of great people. Would highly recommend these leagues.
A P: Ive played soccer in various leagues across Ottawa and Ottawa Rec Sports has been the best league thus far. Ive been in the league for years and have got to know various teams and the league's coordinator/owner, Joel. He is a great guy who is accomodating and offers a variety of sports leagues through the winter/summer. He also organizes the best end of season parties with plenty of prizes to go around. I highly recommend this league. Great for athletes of all levels!
Alex Foley: . The competition level is definitely good. With a range of divisions it allows the upper rec players an outlet for a competitive game, with consistently good reffing, on proper fields.Joel is an excellent league owner, always willing to assist or accommodate teams if possible. He is the kind of guy to give you the shirt off his back so he is the kind of person I would want to support when I get to play my sports.Also, even if you hate sports, the end of year party is excellent. Each season finishes with a party where all teams mingle and Joel provides plenty of gift cards for the restaurant you're at.A great league, could not recommend it enough. Cant wait to get back to it when safe to do so! Thanks Joel
Liam Kennedy: Ottawa Rec Sports is a great rec soccer league! I'm on a team that has been playing in this league for almost 10 years and have nothing but positive things to say about it. Joel, the owner, is a great organizer and ensures good sportsmanship in all games. All games are reffed and fairly adjudicated. I would totally recommend this league to anyone looking to play rec soccer in Ottawa.
Tuesday De Jong: I have been playing in this league for close to 10 years now. Ottawa Rec Sports is a fun co-ed rec league soccer club with an owner who takes great care to ensure teams will always play against teams of a similar skill set and competetiveness level. Games are friendly and fun but stil remain a good workout. I have played with other Ottawa soccer leagues but would recommend Ottawa Rec Sports in a heartbeat.
Jeremy Craddock: Great league and well organized. I've been playing with these guys for over a year now and games are always fun, friendly, and the organizer definitely makes an effort to get to know all of the teams in the league and socialize with the players. Would highly recommend.
Pete Anderson: have stuck around for years and years, and management will re-assess and move teams around during the season to ensure that you're playing as much as possible against teams with similar skill levels and competitiveness. The league also has a good track record placing independent players on established teams, and we've had new friends join us for many seasons this way! Definitely recommend it.
Matt Stevens: First played with Ottawa Rec Sports in 2010 while in Ottawa for a year. Rejoined when I moved back in 2018 and it continues to be a great group to play with!
Joel Kropf: Great coed recreational league for casual players -- easygoing and friendly but serious enough to provide good exercise. Have played in this league for 10 years -- highly recommended.
