Airports are crowded, driving is tiresome, and fabric stashes take up too many suitcases (think of the baggage fees alone!). Have you considered taking a stay-cation? Be near the sewing machine, enjoy the AC, and stop by Quilty Pleasures for a class or two. Want to work on something specific? Not only do we have sessions for learning new skills, but you can also book our classroom to work on your own projects (sans interruptions from the kids). Summertime and sewing go hand in hand, especially at QP!

With my computerized longarm I’m able to achieve perfect stitches and spacing for the design of your choice. Every quilt I work on is treated wtih respect and I always strive to have your quilt returned to you in the best condition possible.

I respect the work it takes to get your quilt top ready and want the quilting process to be as smooth and understandable as possible. Do you want to control every detail? Would you like me to take your quilt top and run with it? Or are you somewhere in between?


Customer service is top of mind and I will keep you updated on your quilt as I work on it. You’ll receive a progress photo if you like, as well as a series of photos once the quilting is complete.

4worldlovers: Simply Quilted was birthed in 1980 when I made three quilts by hand (the year that we adopted our first son). I didn’t pick quilting up again until 2002. That was a very difficult year for the family and especially me. I knew I had to put my energy into something other than our problems so that joy wouldn’t leave me. I remembered I enjoyed quilting, and wanted to get back into it, so I headed off the nearest quilting shop to find some solace.

I bought the fabric to make a double bed log cabin quilt. I finished the top in three days while managing a house with nine kids at the time. (We had adopted six children and were foster parents to babies, mostly with special needs.) Back to the quilt shop I went for more fabric, and so the journey began.
