Riviera Ottawa: what do users think?

Joseph van Blokland: What a special relaxed atmosphere, with such good food.My wife and I had wonderful cocktails and a lovely bottle of Cabarnet Sauvignon. My caviar appetizer, with creme fresh and dill was delicious.I also shared a bit of the lobster on homemade pasta. Full lobster claw and tail, cooked perfectly. My main of potato crusted Fogo island cod was perfection.Service was great, and multiple staff came by to greet us as we were celebrating a special occasion.

1 Elgin Restaurant: what do users think?

Sabryna Laberge: Your 10 star service with our server Yvan!!!He was able to guide us in our choice of meals and side dishes! In addition to livening up the evening, we had more than courteous service with nice touches that will definitely make us come back!!!The food is delicious!A huge thank you to Yvan who brought a little “zing” to our romantic outing! The atmosphere is perfect for couples, meals with friends and office colleagues. The costs are reasonable with the experience we had.THANKS

Al Bel: I visit 1 Elgin Restaurant multiple times a year and most of the time, I enjoy the Resident Chefs' events, which happen at least four times a year.Every event is wonderful and memorable from multiple aspects, such as fantastic, unbelievable food. The always interesting social experience, along with pairing wine, adds additional excitement and unleashes friendly conversation within the table. It is always pleasant to attend these events where new chefs consistently bring something new and unique from different places around the world. The local chefs continually improve their knowledge, learn new things, and add new tricks to surprise visitors. It is directly reflects quality of the restaurant at the main floor. The feelings and atmosphere are always elevated as customers dine within spacious rooms upstairs, amplifying the vibrancy of every event.I am glad that Ottawa has several remarkable restaurants, and this one is truly worth visiting to enjoy the memorable Resident Chefs' events.

Francois Moreau: The internal parking corridors access to the restaurant in winter do not reflect the magical experience of this place. The food, service and attentive management was impeccable.I recommend the Boeuf Tartar which is the best I ever had in Canada.Although usually combined with a NAC show, I was concerned about feeling it would be rushed, our waitress managed a perfect timing to relax and enjoyed with my grown-up children. It's considered an expensive restaurant, but the experience that you get is of the level of the quality expected from the NAC.Highly recommended.

Tanya Whelan: Been there many times the show nights are crazy they somehow do 200 people fine dining in an hour and a half. If you go for lunch the vibes are quieter sitting on the patio in the summer is a must. Charcuterie plate is amazing all made in house local products too. Right now the beet salad is the best I’ve ever had. My mom love the house special on show nights and they always have a nice non alcoholic beverage.Vegetarian options: 50% of the time I get the vegetarian. Well thought out and delicious.Dietary restrictions: Always willing to help with any dietary restrictions.Parking: Parking is expensive but there is free parking along slater or surrounding areas. We always park there on a show night in the winter but they don’t offer pay for parking in advance anymore which is a shame.

Russ S: Went with family. Decor was unassuming but neat and servers were efficient and friendly. Food was tasty. Will come back.

Yale Touzin: Great place to have a business meeting at.

Gaetano Licari: Very great vibe. If you go on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and or Saturday night, you are always greeted by the owner, Fortunato. He greets you with a warm smile. A handshake, and if he knows you personally it’s always a hug, and or a kiss on the cheek. From when you sit down, the servers are right on top of you getting ready to make sure that you enjoy your evening. The food is fantastic. The service is majestic. And be prepared that when you are ready to finish paying the bill, they will always offer everyone at the table a drink of choice. Viva Italia.

Atelier: what do users think?

Mohamed Amine Khalf: Unique experience. Expensive but completely worth it. Impeccable service and food is what I was expecting: crafty.Vegetarian options: Absolutely.Dietary restrictions: Very flexible. They can adjust to your restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Not for kidsWheelchair accessibility: None.

Sean Kirady: I started with the “sage advice” cocktail. Delicious, but disappointed they put persecco in it instead of champagne per the menu. Service was very good, but a a few times we had to wait for plates while dishes were already on the table. My wife had the “bespoke” wine pairing and I had the “full”; on three occasions we were served the same wine which I found odd. The wines should be different labels in my opinion. The uni, baked oyster and pork belly were all amazing, the Foie Gras with focaccia took the cake in my opinion. We did the 40 bites tasting menu which comes in six “waves” with multiple dishes at once. Food was amazing overall I just felt the experience didn’t match the price tag - which of course can be remedied with small changes. Incredible overall and definitely recommended.

World Wide Reviews: This was truly an amazing experience. I spent $680 here for dinner for 2, fine dining small meals, was well worth it, you won’t regret it
