peiju chen: 🥨I came to this restaurant for dinner on Mother's Day evening at 6 p.m. and found the indoor seating area already full. Initially, the staff seated us outside, but as it felt a bit chilly, we requested to change to takeout. At this point , another server approached us, but her attitude was very unfriendly and impatient when I mentioned that the appetizer I wanted wasn't suitable for takeout. Eventually, we decided to dine in, but she actually told me I should have informed her earlier because of the different ordering system. Apart from her, the food was delicious and the other staff members were friendly. I shouldn't dislike the entire restaurant because of one person, so out of courtesy, I still gave a 15% tip. However, this dining experience left me with no motivation to write about it on other social media.I came to this restaurant for dinner at 6 o'clock on Mother's Day night and found that the room was already full. At first, the store clerk arranged for us to sit outside, but because it felt a bit cold, we wanted to take out instead. At this time, another waiter came, but her attitude was very unfriendly and irritable because the appetizer I wanted to order was not suitable for takeout. In the end we decided to switch to dine-in, but she actually told me that I should have told her earlier because the ordering system was different.Although except for this server, the food was delicious and the other servers were friendly. I shouldn't hate an entire restaurant because of one person, so out of politeness I tipped 15%. But this dining experience left me with no motivation to write a review, or even mention it on other social platforms.
Sourabh SJ: This is an absolutely unbelievable restaurant in ALL aspects! Their service is unmatched, the food is on point & couldn’t have asked for more. This restaurant has really raised the bar! Their drinks are phenomenal 🤤 and this place hasn’t left any gaps in delivering a beyond expected dining experience.For reference, we had shrimp pad thai, shrimp fried rice, veggie spring rolls, grilled chicken satay and red thai curry.In 🍹 we had mojoto, shirley temple, thai ice tea, thai passion & LIIT.In desserts we had sticky mango rice which is highly recommend, creme brûlée, chocolate cake.Beyond 5* to this restaurant! Jaime Hedges: The food was lovely we had a great mother’s evening. It was a little hard to find the bathroom.They had little bathroom space. The staff were nice. Most of the tables were reserved. Parking was great and it was nice and close.Kid-friendliness: In the bathroom there was an open breaker box was open in the girls bathroom. The cleaning supplies was scattered along the room. It wasn’t clean. When I was looking for toilet paper I saw shoes. A small space in the bathroom. The food was labeled with a pepper so I instantly new that was spicy 🌶️

Ivan Joson: First time eating here and all I can say I will comeback for more!Really good food! Fried rice, pad thai and everything is just really well cooked!! Service is good and the lady was really attentive was very pleasant.The place has such a quiet ambiance so I really enjoyed the eating here.
Jessica Duarte: The yellow curry was the most delicious and flavorful yellow curry I’ve ever tried. And the Por Pia Jay spring rolls were perfectly crispy and delicious - I could have eaten 100. It was also the perfect ambiance for excellent conversation with my friend. The staff let us have space while also ensuring we had everything we needed. The jasmine tea paired so well with the food! An excellent surprise to have found this place by chance on Google Maps. Will return!

The Pad Thai sauce is not quite to my taste, but it's so well done, I still ate it all.I've tried three curries, the satay, and spring rolls. I'll be working my way through most of the menu!Friendly, attentive service, and a clean dining room. Welcome addition to the neighbourhood!Dec. 31/23 edit: the reno and rebrand seems to have been an excellent decision. The menu has been pared down to just what you need. I tried the Pad Thai again, now made with tamarind, and it is delicious! I also got the chicken with cashews and chilis, Satay, and the deep fried tofu with peanut and tamarind sauce. Everything was perfect. Wishing much more success for this restaurant.

I also really enjoyed the shrimp curry but you cannot leave without trying the green papaya salad - it has the right amount of spices!It’s a great spot for a cozy mid day meal or late night eats, and an absolute staple in downtown Ottawa.

Emma Dee: Food-The food was delicious with good potions. I got the Thai spring rolls and Pad Thai. Both were flavourful. The veggie pad Thai had nicely cooked vegetables with a good crunch. It came with lime, peanuts, and cilantro.Ambiance-The ambiance might throw some people off. I had called and made a reservation a few days before for 4 people at lunch time. When I arrived all of the chairs were on top of the tables and the floors were freshly mopped which was both reassuring but odd. I thought maybe they weren’t open yet. However, there was one person sitting at the bar with what looked like a takeout order. There were no staff in sight when I arrived. I waited a few mins and a server returned from the kitchen. She verified my reservation details and then she spoke to another staff who began to remove chairs from tables. I was able to pick where we sat which was really nice. The only other “negative” thing was that the floor cleaner they used was scented very strongly and where it was still wet when we arrived it was overpowering. It made it a bit challenging to eat without tasting and smelling the solution. However, i took most of my food to go, and enjoyed it later.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options

I appreciate the wide variety of veggie-focused dishes too because I don't eat meat. The staff are helpful and non-judgmental if you have food allergies or intolerances, letting you know the best options and they're happy to offer substitutions.Every interaction we've had has been friendly and accommodating, including my boyfriend's interaction with the staff when he used to frequent as an UberEats delivery person. Commenting on this specifically because I'm surprised to see some reviews have said otherwise and I want to express my great experiences.If you're hesitant to try this place because of some lower reviews, I'd highly recommend trying them anyway!

Bloom Sasha: it was so amazing, very tasty. I will love to go back however I’m about 25 mins away from this restaurant. I’ll be trying their Pad Thai next time. Also the restaurant was very clean and beautiful ambience inside, given this, next time I will dine in.
Ashley: I have to say I haven't been to this location for the past two years because previously the noodles were so overcooked and food was bland. But I'm glad I stopped by today because the pad sew was AMAZING. The noodles were just right. The flavours wee perfect. Lots of meat, eggs and broccoli. The lady at the cashier was so friendly and was smiling the whole time.

Maureen M: I was so excited to go here. Everyone raves about this place, and while it was okay, it was definitely nothing to write home about. Shrimp chips as an appetizer seemed really cheap and cheesy. We asked for very spicy and were given maybe medium heat. My go-to, pad ki mow, while edible, as not like any other pad ki mows I've had. We were asked if we wanted dessert, and when we decided we would, we were presented the menu and told, "we only have rice pudding." OK? Why did they bother?My friend had offered to take me there as a gift, yet without even being asked, we were presented individual bills at the end of our meal. Thanks.In the end, I wouldn't turn down a meal there if offered, but I won't be seeking them out on my own anytime soon.
Jay Gagnon: Green Papaya, I will say up front it might be my heart that is a little bias because of my history there but I’m speaking from my stomach!I’ve been here at least 2 dozen times because it’s a guarantee every single time. The service and atmosphere are what you need or expect. First date? You know the restaurant has you covered for beautifully presented, delicious food. Just reserve/ask for a separate “Date” table. A few spots are a little close to others if you want to be more personal.Savoury, hot and fresh dishes of all spice levels if you’re adventurous. Portions are always filling and priced to match.It is an older restaurant with its atmosphere but it’s a comfortable and still up to any date standard.It’s a main meal restaurant so drinks and dessert can be found all along Preston. Gives you a chance to either stretch the legs and extend your date on a nice little walk to the next location or find your exit strategy.Have fun and enjoy your night!Vegetarian options: There are plenty of dishes to choose from and they are always so eager to please. Just ask or let them know and they will always do there best. Worst case, call ahead.Dietary restrictions: My wife is Celiac and she always has plenty of options. They are also very accommodating, just politely ask!Parking: Parking is tough for anything on Preston. Luckily a half block away is a paid parking. Just pay, it’s worth it.
