Hassan: Staff was serious and took the health condition of my brother seriously after they saw his vitals and that he was previously at another hospital. Only giving 4 stars because the front desk person who you go to when you first come in was super super super rude to my brother who was barely able to breathe and stand. No patience at all from that gentlemen. However; after that little interaction, all other people were pleasant and were great at their job. The doctor was also amazing and so knowledgeable. Took his case seriously

Alicia Lê: Due to an abscess that was causing significant pain while moving, I went to the emergency room yesterday. I was able to get in and out of the ER within 1h30mins. Dr. O'Brien Micheal provided excellent care and attention to my pain and the entire procedure. All the nurses were kind.

Roger Stone: has been excellent. The pickup and drop-off arrangements have always worked well. Many other 5-star reviews testify to a fine hospital with dedicated people.So, I scan those one-star reviews, some very lengthy, and I wonder. Are these all cranky patients, or is something else going on? People do not write all of these scathing reviews without cause.Maybe behind all this is senior administrative staff asleep at the switch, or just not bothered to do the job for which they are highly paid. They are ultimately responsible to correct or fire the employees who have treated these patients so badly.I shudder to think what I would have paid for all the care I have received, in a system unlike OHIP. But anything government-run spawns administrators whom nobody can access, sitting immune in lavish offices, ignoring situations that should horrify a conscientious person. If they were publicly exposed -- like some people seen in recent parliamentary inquiries -- maybe those senior jobs would not be so secure.

It's not a big hospital, so does not feel overwhelming when you are going in for surgery or other procedures. We are fortunate to have such a caring facility so close to us.

Overall, I have received very good care and treatment from the resident doctors, nurses and other hospital staff. They are mostly very caring. The reception also handles calls with very little waiting time during their office hours.The hospital premises are well connected with public transport, which is truly a blessing in harsh winter. Overall, the premises are neat and clean.On the main level, there is also a pharmacy store and a coffee shop.

Michelle Gregoire: My mother, 85, has been staying at Bruyère's St-Vincent hospital, 3rd floor, for a month and a half now because of continuing complex care she required for a wound. I have nothing but positive things to say about her experience to-date. From the moment she arrived, I was impressed by the level of care and compassion that the staff showed towards her as their patient and towards me as her family member.The hospital itself is clean and well-equipped and, although I have read other reviews that described it as an old facility, the technology and medical equipment in use is second to none. What really stands out to me is the incredible staff. From the nurses and doctors to the pharmacists, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, janitorial services, kitchen team, security and reception staff, everyone is professional and personable. They are always kind, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that my mother's needs are met.In addition to the exceptional care she is receiving, the food is absolutely amazing! It is so delicious and nutritious, and the menu was varied enough to cater to all dietary needs and preferences. The chefs work hard to create healthy and nourishing meals that are not always repetitive.What I appreciate most about this hospital is its genuine concern for the health and welfare of their patients. The staff take the time to listen to concerns and address any questions my mom or I may have. They always make time for us and make us feel important. The level of empathy and compassion they show every day is truly remarkable and it makes my mother's stay so much more pleasant and bearable.Thank you Bruyère St-Vincent. I know she is in good hands.

I cannot say enough GOOD things about the nurses, doctor and everyone involved at St. Vincent's. They are all remarkably kind, compassionate and caring. I am a designated care partner and feel blessed my daughter is being cared for at this facility. Especially given these difficult times of the never ending pandemic. Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. You are all amazing!My Daughter is still here and doing well. Best staff in the city.

Marsha Sylvia: were always available to communicate and update. We appreciated the day-to-day intensive program and also the after care program; which is incredible and rare these days. If you have a rehabilitation choice, EB, should be where you advocate you/your loved one to be.
Colleen Wright: My mother is presently receiving stroke rehabilitation care and so far the service is wonderful. Dr.'s have called to update me, the physiotherapist Leah called to update me and the nurses are very kind and caring overall. The food even has been good. CHEO is one of the highest ranking children's hospitals in Canada for a reason, & the vast majority of these 1-star reviews demonstrate a profound lack of understanding as to what constitutes a *medical emergency* while also showcasing shocking degrees of entitlement. Take your ego, impatience & utter absence of gratitude elsewhere.THANK YOU to the wonderful receptionists, techs, nurses & doctors in orthopedics & imaging who provided exemplary care when my daughter broke her arm in 2 places last weekend. Your warmth, compassion, professionalism & diligence did not go unnoticed. As a parent of 5 children ranging in age from 5-18, there have been more than a few visits to this hospital over the years, & the care received has always been fantastic. Despite the many challenges we're currently facing as a province/country, I would still highly recommend CHEO without hesitation.

If you can't wait that long then go/stay home; it truly isn't an emergency and you shouldn't be at the hospital if you feel you have the option to just go/stay home. Not to say that waiting 8hrs is acceptable; it was very difficult at 37wks pregnant with a sick child.I can not eat gluten. I have heard so many complaints about our health care system, but I was astounded by the exceptional care I got from the minute the paramedics brought me in until I was discharged. John POTVIN: Always great treatment . Had a very genuine and caring nurse Jessica in emergency. She was lovely, I personally Wouldn't recommend needing to comebin, but if you have to be here , be patient and kind please and they will do their best to help you get your issues figured out. Let's remember they are also here long hours trying to help us all out.
Brianna: I had a fantastic experience from start to finish here. I was in and out within about 7 hours which I felt was very reasonable given the current state and I was not in a severe emergency. Everyone from the check-in to triage to the nurses and residents were very kind, ensured my comfort and did a great job assessing me and explaining what they were doing. I saw about 8 different staff members over the course of my time there and all were incredibly wonderful. I received a full assessment and treatment that relieved the symptoms I came in for. I’m very thankful for all the staff showing compassion to the patients even during these difficult times.

Dianne Murray: They saved my brother's life when he came in with a brainstem stroke. These are usually fatal but these people saved him! He lived almost 5 more years. They are wonderworkers! I see a lot of selfish babies reviewing them badly who weren't having an actual emergency & are reviewing an ER as if it was a restaurant where they can't get a table quick enough. 🤨 You can't tell when you go in how many ahead of you have life threatening problems.
Lindsay Fletcher: Doctors and surgeons are awesome here. Very thorough. At least for broken bones.When we got here it wasn't busy so from start to finish we were here 6 hours which we were expecting longer. My biggest concern was the waiting rooms and bathrooms, not child friendly. I'd expect at a hospital the baby change table not to be broken.

Chad Arsenault: I've been a patient of UOHI congenital heart disease clinic for 20 years. I have had 2 pacemaker procedures and lots of testing for various issues related to my condition since 2003. The staff including nurses, doctors and reception have always been amazing no matter the circumstance. I don't understand the 1 stars that this hospital gets, I know people have different experiences but to give a 1 star to a place that saves and extends lives everyday is shady in my opinion. Very knowledgeable and it's very apparent why they are so highly accoladed and the best place in my opinion for cardiac health. Nothing but good things to say about this place.
Andy Vandermeer: Very positive experience on March 28. The level of detail, compassion, and professionalism far exceeded my expectations. The team kept me well informed on what was going on and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. The dry and bland chicken salad sandwich provided an extra level of motivation to focus more on my health to avoid future visits.
Gilda Diaz: I had mitral valve repair surgery and I give the Heart Institute 10 stars for the outstanding care the nurses provide post surgery, and the attention to detail that the surgeons and the rest of the team give pre surgery. However, beware to heart patients that have trouble walking, or to the care providers driving, the parking lot is a nightmare. It was at maximum capacity for all my appointments, the parking attendant was nowhere in sight, and we had questions: "where do we park?" and "how come the parking meter doesn't work"?! when we were trying to exit the parking lot. I have since found out that the Heart Institute employees also park in the parking lot. Good luck!
Gary Aubin: My wife had a massive stroke and the staff there deserve a shout out. They went above and beyond to help her. There were kind , caring and top notch service all around. They definitely helped me threw a very difficult time. They showed compassion and were sympathetic . Highly recommend this place.
