4worldlovers: The National Capital Region Rifle Association (NCRRA) is a multi-discipline shooting organization based at the Connaught military ranges in Ottawa, Ontario. The NCRRA is comprised of sections and is dedicated to furthering the development of marksmanship skills in Target Rifle, Service Conditions, and Pistol.

Base annual general membership for 2023-24 is $145 ($65 for NCRRA membership plus $80 for DCRA membership). Additional annual fees apply by Section (see below). Junior members under the age of 25 pay $90, plus activity fees.

4worldlovers: The range is back to full operating capacity. Range bookings are still absolutely mandatory, so please book all time that is required. We would also ask that you limit the number of guests you bring out to 1 person. We would like to keep the amount of people on the range at a safe and manageable number for the time being.

If you are having issues booking, please check the expiry date on your membership card or in the my account section of the website. Expired memberships will not be able to book pistol ranges.

4worldlovers: PAL courses teach safe handling, transportation, and storage of Non-Restricted firearms (rifles and shotguns typically used for hunting and target shooting). A pre-requisite for the CRFSC (Restricted) RPAL Course.

This RPAL course covers the safe handling, transportation, and storage of Restricted firearms which are primarily handguns (and certain rifles and shotguns) that are limited to use in target shooting, collecting or for professional use only.

This course bundles both the Non-Restricted and Restricted courses into one weekend. This bundle offers more comprehensive training in firearms safety at a reduced overall length as well as significant overall course cost savings.

Ottawa Firearms Safety places emphasis on creating a classroom that is comfortable, accepting and relaxed to enhance your learning experience.

All training is assured to conform to all FSESO Policies and Procedures for CFSC and CRFSC courses. This guarantees that you will receive all of the necessary training to handle, store, and transport firearms safely and to be successful on the federally regulated written and practical PAL exams. The quality of the instruction will give you the best chances of being successful.

We offer a 1:1 firearm-to-student ratio for all our firearms courses which maximizes each student’s firearm handling time during the course hours. This approach ensures that you are comfortable with each type of firearm by the end of the course – no matter your experience level.

Your time is respected – classrooms will be ready on time for the course start, you will leave on time at the end of the course, and a realistic schedule will be provided to you at the beginning of each PAL course so you can manage your time.
