Dr. Leduc attended Université Laval where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2004 and graduated at the top of her class. She then went on to opening her own dental clinic “JL Dentistry” in Ottawa, where she practiced general dentistry for 8 years. Root canal treatment (also called Endodontics) is needed when the pulp inside your tooth becomes infected through tooth decay or damaged by an injury to your mouth. This infection may spread through the root canal system, which could eventually lead to an abscess, causing a great deal of discomfort. If root canal treatment is not carried out, the tooth may need to be taken out.

After a diagnostic examination and a consultation with your general dentist, an endodontist will determine if your tooth is a candidate for endodontic treatment. The main areas of her research include risk factors involved in vertical root fracture and the biomechanical response of root dentin to endodontic instrumentation.
