Brassica: what do users think?

Natasha Bernardi: , crispy calamari, saffron arancini

Colin Campbell: , the atmosphere was cozy yet polished and we were treated like royalty ! Definite recommend !

Sylvia Corzato: The food, service and atmosphere at Brassica never disappoints. The staff at Brassica went out of their way to make our evening out to celebrate a big milestone extra special. We are grateful for the memorable evening.Pictures: Mushroom on Toast, Yellow Fin Tuna Crudo, Braised Lamb Shank, Steelhead Trout & FritesDietary restrictions: Restaurant has a wide selection of gluten free options and can equally accommodatedairy free diets.

Tara Glaude: What an absolute gem! Went for the first time with a couple of friends for dinner. The space is very inviting and we sat at the window which I always appreciate. Has a casual feel, but the cuisine is definitely upscale! My friend ordered the chicken and pierogis & said it tasted as good as it looked! And she is Polish so she knows her pierogis! My other friend and I ordered a couple of apps to share, the arancini and the salmon. WOW WOW WOW!!! Presentation was incredible, wish I’d pulled out my phone to capture, and the flavours! Absolutely incredible!!! I could have had a third app for sure but the 2 made a delectable light dinner 🤤Deserves all the exclamation points ok!!!! We had banoffee pie & carrot cake for dessert, delightful! Will definitely be coming back here, bravo 👏🏻Parking: On street so really depends on time of day and day of week as it can be a busy area.

Sounak Hom: Loved the food, ambience, hospitality and overall warmth of the place. Will come again especially for the Mushrooms on Toast !!Vegetarian options: Mushrooms on Toast. Tofu Wellington.

Kyla Mostowich: I also appreciate how accommodating and knowledgeable they are.

Sam Samson: I have made a goal of trying everything on the menu, even foods that I typically don't like.. and they were all delicious.A must in the city of Ottawa as far as dining experiences go.A big thank you to Rodrigo who is often our maestro :

Joseph van Blokland: What a wonderful place. Started with an amazing warm salad, of perfectly cooked and seasoned vegetables. Then had a lamb shank, octopus and a veg lasagne.Great cocktails, Cabernet Sauvignon, and my wife's Argentinian shrimp pasta was perfectly done.Very attentive service, and was lucky enough to get a parking spot right out front.

Nik Mehta: packed up. The serving staff handled this with such professionalism and calmness it was astounding. Then after their food was brought out in take out containers, the medical issue subsided a little to where our friends decided they could at least have dinner at the table. Again, our server was amazing. "We'll just replate it!". They didn't just dump it on the plate ..no, it looked like it was made fresh and plated right out of the kitchen. And, all food was a absolutely exceptional.Amazing experience.Go there...

Annie Duplessis: , but their way of preparing them is nothing ordinary. What a surprise and what a delight for the taste buds! And what about the service? Courteous, attentive, fast and, as a bonus, we were spoken to in French.

Jonathan Jones: Had an excellent meal here. The yellowfin tuna starter was extremely well flavoured with a superb sauce. The leg of duck confit was crispy on the outside and full of flavour underneath. It was served with a purée of parsnip topped with bacon, and a flavourful garnish. The wines were of good quality andxthe service attentive and friendly.

The Belmont: what do users think?

Taleen D: This place is an absolute treat! Don't be fooled by the interior. The Belmont may look like an ordinary bar, but their food is equal to a fancy, fine dining restaurant. We ordered the vegetarian family style, which includes: trini doubles, endive salad, cauliflower, broccolini, mushroom on toast, & lemon cheesecake. Thinking it might be small portions, we also added the beef tartare. All the plates were generous portions! Everything was so delicious, and the cocktails were tasty too. Although we almost couldn't finish the food, we did, and were happily in a food coma afterwards. Highly recommend it! We'll be back for sure.

Tulip Restaurant: what do users think?

Nate Stahle: Decided to stay in at the Hilton Garden Inn and found the comfy chairs in the Tulip. Started with a classic Manhattan, great single cube. Food took a while to come out, but totally worth the wait! Completely delicious combinations and flavors I have not had before. I had the perogies, which sound simple, but oh my gosh, what an incredible flavour. Beet creme fresh and candied bacon made perfect dough pillows even prettier than they tasted, and they were damn good! I followed up with the coho salmon in an incredible puddle of pea puree and a gentle soup.My friend had the Kari Kari Filipino stew, which was a peanut sauce and chicken delight. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, and the sweet potatoe mash was insane with nuts and mushrooms and asparagus, I wanted more!I didn't order the creme Brule, which was orange and rosemary, but the others did, and wow, it was huge and perfect.I ate most of their's 🤪I have to say, this is some of the best looking, well displayed, and equally delicious food I have ever eaten in a hotel restaurant. Check the pics.Alex was great at service. Try tonight!

Mark Ross: Beautifully presented plates with delicious food. Great restaurant. Probably the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had.

Samuel Terence Narbuada: Love that the Tulip Restaurant partnered with the Philippine Embassy in Canada for the Filipino Restaurant Month! Enjoyed the dinner which was a three-course meal created by David Vinoya and served us by Josephine Castillo. The appetizer was Kare Kare as Fried Chicken Rice Balls. The main course was Bistek Tagalog. The dessert was Maja Blanca. All of the courses looked and tasted amazing! Proud of the head chef and sous chef for being inspirational Filipinos here in Canada!

Minnie Gill: Great selection and nice service

Play Food & Wine: what do users think?

Christine Stenger: We had an excellent lunch today! We stopped in while walking around town and did a walk in. I loved the art here and enjoyed the service. They have exceptional service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the foods, the cheese, the wine, and more. I felt like I was able to truly understand what I was eating and where the food was coming from. I love this level of details when eating out.The wine was amazing. The small plates are paired with suggested wines. And I have to say they definitely met the mark. I had two seafood plates. The fish patty and a mini fillet. The sides were perfect accompaniments. I also loved being able to see art from all directions. The restaurant is rather small but very central. Out the window I could see the Ottawa sign and tourist reveling in the fun of it.I highly recommend this for lunch!Vegetarian options: There was a African rice dish on the menu for lunch. I also saw a few starters that were also veg.Dietary restrictions: They request you let them know if you have any restrictions.

Hana Tanasijevic: Had a lovely dinner! Very nice restaurant with a wonderful curated menu. Really enjoyed the wine pairing

Mikhaël Bélanger: I went to Play for the first time a few years ago, before COVID, and always considered it one of the best dining experiences I had in my life. I didn't have a chance to come back until yesterday, probably 6 years later. Let me tell you, that experience has not changed a bit. I have been to fancy restaurants like Bouchon and Blue Hill, and I still would pick Play over them in a heartbeat. The food is .... Mesmerizing. Their ramp gnocchi nearly made me cry of joy, the scallop crudo paired with that incredible Italian wine was mind blowing, and everything else, though not as memorable, was on point. We were served by Laureen, a Play's veteran who made us feel like longtime guests.Play is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life. Incredible and yet, perfectly accessible. You should never hesitate to come.

Quenby Joanette: I had a large party for my husband's birthday, but the waitstaff at Play seemed to effortlessly keep up with all 9 of us. We went for their wine list and were not disappointed. We split bottles of amazing wine between us, and it was genuinely an immersive experience. Who needs Prince Edward County or the Niagara region when you have Play? It was a tasting extravaganza and so very memorable. Thank you to everyone who made this a birthday to remember. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff funny and professional. Next time, we plan on eating the food rather than just raiding their wine cellar.

Sonya Gankina: Went for Valentine's day and came back this week. Always lovely service. Interesting unique high-end craft cocktails. Love the variation of food depending on seasonality. Nice to get an "appetizer" from top half of menu and a "main" from bottom half - the ramp gnocchi is unreal. Kitchen even put on extra blue cheese for me like I asked which was very sweet. Incredible value of two generous high-quality plates for $49 compared to other fine dining places. Atmosphere nice but not pretentious.

Joseph van Blokland: What a special relaxed atmosphere, with such good food.My wife and I had wonderful cocktails and a lovely bottle of Cabarnet Sauvignon. My caviar appetizer, with creme fresh and dill was delicious.I also shared a bit of the lobster on homemade pasta.
