Baobab was a registered charity dedicated to the learning and sharing of the arts of Ghana, West Africa. Through social events, performances, educational classes and workshops, our participants learned about themselves and their place in the world.

Baobab was a socially responsible organization with a 25 year relationship with the village of Dagbamete in Ghana. This relationship fostered economic development projects, artistic partnerships, international friendships, personal growth and inter-cultural knowledge that continues to this day.

In operation from 1995-2020, we closed our doors as planned at the end of our 25th Anniversary season. This multi-branched organization reached thousands of people of all ages in the Ottawa and surrounding area, while affecting lives throughout the world. Thanks for the memories!
