Chesca Salonga: Im Cielo , I’ve been a registered nurse for 20 yrs. & worked in the hospitals and homes as private nurse in the Philippines before moving to Canada.I’ve been working as a private nurse to Mr and Mrs Bessler for 4 yrs now in this facility.The Constitution Place Retirement Community has a homey atmosphere to it.The staff are very friendly and accomodating.Here, great friendships are developed among residents and staff.The residents have regular social activities like bingo , bowling , movies and daily exercise.It’s where you can hear the laughter of the residents , hear their stories and where deep frienships are born.The staff are caring;they see to it that the residents are very well-fed with nutritious food and are regularly cleaned up.One of the options I like most about the facility is that I & the residents’ family are given leeway to customize our suite the way we want it.We were able to bring in furniture, decors, picture frames, etc & make it homier.Sometime ago , a resident neighbor shared with me some ripe tomatoes he harvested from his small garden just outside his room.This is a good place to go for seniors or those who are no longer capable of taking care of themselves.I highly recommend Constitution Place Retirement Community for your LOVED ONES .A perfect place for them..

Her most challenging are her mobility issues and her limited vision due to severe macular degeneration. In July 2021 she was very sick and was in hospital for 4 months. She was finally discharged and we arranged residence at a Retirement Residence in Etobicoke. The facility was a complete disaster and we needed to move her out immediately. We were in a crisis situation. We advised the Social Worker at Trillium Health and she directed us to Doreen Schwartze at Constitution Place.I met Doreen on September 2021 she changed our lives that day.Doreen was compationate, she listened, she was professional, organized and told us she was hands-on and had an open door policy.October 2021 we moved our Mom into her new home Doreen and Adrienne greeted us at the front door. Mom was very nervous. Doreen escorted Mom to her suite put her arms around her and welcomed her to her new home.My Mom took an immediate liking to Adrienne. She help my Mom get involved with all social activities, physiotherapy and all that was happening at the residence. She always takes the time to check with her to see how she is doing and if she needs anything.The pandemic hit. Lockdowns, quarantines etc. Doreen immediately notified the families about the procedures Constitution Place was putting into effect to protect the residents. Both Doreen and Adrienne checked in  on Mom when she was not well and throughout the Covid lockdown. All I can say is "amazing".Doreen, Adrienne and the whole team at Constitution Place have lit the light in Mom's heart again and our family is truly grateful to this wonderful team and facility.Again we are truly grateful.SincerelyAdrienne Garth-Worrell

Jennifer Flaxman: Constitution Place has been a safe haven for my mother whose health deteriorated to a point where she could no longer be cared for properly in her previous retirement home. The staff made me feel supported and assured me that even though she could no longer walk, they would be able to care for her. Along with the dedicated LHIN workers, nurses and PSW staff my mother has received such wonderful compassionate care. Having all the services available on site including the Doctor, Dentist, Chiropodist and Optometrist has been a godsend. My Mom has never been able to meet any of the other residents in person but she still feels valued and grateful for the interaction she does receive. They have created a safe and comfortable home for her in her last stage of life and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you ladies with all my heart.

Kenneth Hilliard: I have lived here for 2 years and I love the residents and the staff. The staff are wonderful. Great TLC. They are very considerate and very helpful. I participate in the activities including the crossword program and exercise programs and I really enjoy them. The recreation department has great activities such as sing alongs, dancing, quizzes and great entertainment! As a current resident, I would strongly recommend others living here as well.

From the first moment we arrived in March 2009 we knew from the help and welcome the staff gave us, we had found a gem.Mother enjoyed all the various activities, her table mates, Happy Hour, various entertainment, theme meals, gatherings and warm welcomes to family and visitors from all the staff.Mother's medical care was excellent, the on staff doctors were attentive and very caring. There was never a time that we felt ignored. As Mother aged, her care advanced and was very appreciated.I am missing visiting Constitution Place as I felt they were my extended family. I cannot say enough in praise of Port Credit Residences; a well run establishment.The staff at PRC are very caring and go above and beyond their job descriptions in making their residences feel at home and their families welcome. The staff became our friends; all of them from the ladies in the front office, to the reception desk, nurse practitioner, nursing staff, dining room, recreational staff and maintenance were all caring and helpful.The chefs prepare delicious, inventive meals every day. Special attention is always put forth in celebration of all calendar events.I want to give a word of thanks to Jackie and Eva who were our first contacts at PCR. We were convinced from the first meeting that we had made a good choice of retirement home for our mother. These ladies continued to be thoughtful and helpful throughout my mother’s stay.During the past few years dealing with Covid 19, strict protocols were put in place and adhered to. We all felt safe and protected.When it was time for my mother to move on to long term care recently, she was very sad to leave all her friends that she had made here. Kelly Mahaney: Mom has recently moved into Port Credit Residences and is still in her 14 day quarantine period. Fabulous meals are delivered to her door, enough for sharing or tucking in a mini fridge for later. The room is spacious and cleaned weekly for residents. She occupies her time watching children playing in the park or on the skating rink. A nurse visits regularly for temperature checks to ensure resident health safety. Jigsaws are delivered to the door, during quarantine, with a simple call to reception or a note left outside the door. And activity staff regularly provide games to challenge the mind. Her favourite day so far, her birthday when a glass of white wine was delivered with best wishes. Can't wait for the okay for her to be able to join in and wander about with other resident, we sre counting the days. A shout-out to Eva and Jackie, thank you for making her feel welcome.

Nancy Britton: My mom called PC Residences her home for 5 years. She first came to know the Residences while she was convalescing after a fall. She liked it so much that she decided to move in permanently. The staff are like family. There are a wide variety of activities available, regular entertainment such as musicians, the food is amazing and it's very close to the downtown of Port Credit. Although COVID-19 has impacted the social activities and outings that were available to the residents, the staff have continued to do their best in providing safe opportunities for the residents to participate in the activities they enjoy so much. Our family was always welcome when we visited and we had peace of mind knowing that mom was happy and thriving in such a warm and caring environment. We would highly recommend PC Residences to anyone looking for a retirement home.

In no time the staff and other residents knew her name and were chatting in the common areas with her. the staff truly have time for everyone. We, her family, were always encouraged to join for a meal or any other recreational activities. It was always nice to come at tea time and go down to the lounge and have tea and cake. We could visit and there was never the feeling that we were a burden as she would need to make tea or have biscuits or cake to offer, and no washing up after! Due to covid this of course has stopped but their care and attention during this time has been wonderful. They have managed this outbreak admirely. Their professionalism, courtesy and genuine concern for the residents well-being is evident in everyone who chooses to work there. The building and her suite is exceptionally clean, well maintained and offers many available facilities, the meals prepared are delicious, plentiful and offer different choices to suit everyone. There are so many daily activities, movie nights and scheduled trips weekly to keep her as busy as she wants. Mowing that nursing staff are available, people concerned for her well-being, mentally and physically and having so mu h social interaction, gives our family piece of mind. My mom Has made many new friends, is enjoying her life, keeping active, staying healthy, having fun, and living her best life. That's all anyone wants for their loved one. I have met so many wonderful, caring people since my mom has moved into Port Credit residence, there too many to mention here. luvpop89: We’ve recently relocated my 88 YOM to Port Credit Residences? Honestly I cannot say how impressed I am with the residence and especially the staff. My mother has been somewhat difficult about the move but everyone who works there has bent over backwards to help her adjust to her new situation. Change is difficult but I know from talking with other residents that this home has everything one could ever want or need. Not that I want to rush things but Im pretty sure when I need this type of accommodation, Port Credit Residence will be at the top of my list!

I was afraid that the transition would be difficult for her but the amazing staff at Credit River helped her transition into a flourishing daily routine. The special events the staff organize are AMAZING!!! There have been a number of occasions where my husband and I have gone to visit her and she is having such a good time she didn't even notice us!!!!! From the front door to the laundry room each and every person makes you feel welcome and appreciated. In actual fact I must say that we have such a good time visiting with my mom, that it makes me so grateful that I chose Credit River for her and feel she is finally living her best life!!! The move was executed in difficult times as Public Health rules around Covid-19 severely imposed limits and restrictions on in-person meetings, physical inspection of facilities, timelines and windows for setting up my sister in her new residence…to list just a few.My principal contact at Credit River was Ms. Shantel Prashad who demonstrated an appreciable degree of flexibility in managing the process and a good level of cleverness when problems came up. All in all, Ms. Prashad ensured the move was seamless and less onerous on me.Fourteen-months on, and relatively speaking, my sister has settled in. The staff in Memory Care treat her with patience and kindness and, as warranted, they communicate frequently with me on matters pertaining to my sister’s her day-to-day care and support.

I've witnessed so many instances of compassion that you would think staff were caring for their own folks. I've also witnessed where a team member interacted with a resident who seemed to be having a really tough day - they immediately recognized the situation, comforted the resident and successfully redirected their attention to a new subject and activity.The management team also treats residents as if they were their own parents and seem to know all the residents by name!
