Robert Cairns: we were surprised at how easy it came and we realize now it's because we were well taught.The Class SetupAs for the class setup - you start in a beginner's class where you learn the fundamentals of salsa or bachata among several other people. You can do both if you like! The pricing is very reasonable and the atmosphere is supportive.Classes are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays - times vary based on the level you are in, but all are after working hours.You practice a few different combinations and moves before progressing to the next level - similar to a martial arts school but much more relaxed. From there, you progress at your own speed with support from several folks at the studio who are all very, very capable dancers in their own right.From there you can attend social nights where they invite folks out to dance and learn additional tips and tricks to elevate their skills. This is well worth it!

For more intimate, I recommend going somewhere before and then heading to Lula Lounge.Waiters were great, and friendly.Atmosphere/Entertainment :5/5 This is the main reason you come to Lula, the show and dancing.The free dance lesson included in your show ticket, while not very instructional, was great.The artists include some of the very best Latin artists of Toronto. Bring your dancing shoes, have a cerveza and enjoy the show.

Brianna P: Beautiful venue. I had been years prior for a concert - this time we came for the Latin vibe. We had a big party as it was my birthday, the food was great and the evening was fun. However the dance lesson didn't allot time for people who were being served their meal, so we had to rush our pricey though delicious meal, and in turn didn't get to learn the steps we were looking forward to learning as a part of our evening. Also the teacher had the lesson music hooked up to his phone and he didn't mute it so he kept getting notifications during the lesson, including a phone call on the venue speaker haha! The live band was great - though between sets I really wish they wouldn't turn it into a club vibe, it was too loud and the music was bad. We weren't there to get tanked and do dumb things, we came for salsa night with the live band, so maybe stick to that vibe while the band is on break and we can keep the fun and dance going. I'd have left then, but I was the reason everyone showed up!

Nicola Christie: Came here to celebrate my birthday. And it was lots of fun. The salsa lesson was great, but a little difficult to follow if you’re at the back. Live music was amazing! Food was pretty good. Big portion of braised pork, could use more glaze. Was a little dry. Also the plantain was a little firmer than I’ve had before but still good. Drinks are pricey. $6 for my ice and barely about 6oz of hortchata. Taco was good, and the tres leche was good too. Over all good value. On top of the 69$ prix fixe I only bought the $6 horchata. And then with tip and tax about 100$

The teachers are all so knowledgeable, kind, and passionate, and the studio is always in pristine condition. I've been taking weekly private lessons for the past nine weeks and have been absolutely loving it! Not to mention the community of people that gather there for the social events are some of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Highly, highly recommend coming by to check it out. 6/5 stars seriously lol

malcolm andrews: A fantastic place to learn to dance. I was visiting family in Toronto for a few months and wanted to learn some new styles of dancing. I found the Directors Caroline and Bee to be knowledgeable and informative and as I soon found out great dancers as well. They suggested a plan for me to follow while here including a mix of private and group lessons. The studio has an exciting vibe, the staff are enthusiastic and I learned more than I expected. I also saw a few wedding couples successfully learn their special dance as well. Best of all it was fun! Highly recommended.

Kim Pigeon: We signed up for dance lessons in December 2021 for our May 2022 wedding and couldn’t be happier that we did. My husband had never danced before and while I love to do it, I had no real skills. We did our first few lessons with Bee and he designed an amazing choreography for us to our chosen song Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. We did our remaining lessons with Shawna and had a blast working with her. They were both extremely patient with us but also very persistent which helped us learn. Elizabeth Martin: Terrific studio! I booked the studio for a theatre rehearsal and was immediately impressed by not only large, well-kept space but also the warm, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and considerate. It is a great location, located a short walk from the Port Credit go and parking was easy with the library next door. It was a breeze for the actors who had to commute in for rehearsal. Caroline, one of the owners, was very friendly, thorough and quick to reply to my original email and any follow up questions I had. I can imagine how comfortable and safe the staff must make first time dancers feel in classes, as they were so considerate with my team and I in the short time we interacted. Would definitely recommend.

We started lessons back in the beginning of 2020 but when the pandemic hit and with postponing our wedding for 2 years, Bee was extremely flexible and always willing to work with our schedules and providing help via email and FaceTime when needed. His choreography was catered for our dance level and style and he was great at helping us perfect our dance. The studio was always very clean and provided a great space to practice. I highly recommend BlueHeel!
