Bianca Kunkel: I found a house cat in my yard. It wouldn’t leave for over a week or two. My boyfriends grandma kept feeding it dangerous things like cake and hot dogs, and she wouldn’t stop. So I knocked on my neighbours doors to try and find the owners, when I was unsuccessful I decided to bring the cat here to find a better/safer home, or hopefully find the owners. Mississauga Animal Services seemed mad at me for doing that though. I thought I was doing the right thing. But I felt like it was the wrong thing after I left. It was a weird vibe. When I said why I was there she shook her head at me. Very unsettling. But I’m happy they took the cat in and the gentleman was very nice and reassured me this cat would very easily be adopted.

K T: and let me borrow a carrier for my big chonker, as she was too heavy for the cardboard case.There were so many lovely cats in the shelter. Two of which were very aggressive towards other kitties, but very nice cats when on their own. It made me think that a small curtain was needed for over the cat cages so that the aggressive kitties can roam in the room without being reactive to those in the cages. I wanted to take them all home!FYI to visitors. Even though shelter is open until 6pm, staff did not let me adopt or visit animals after 5:15pm as they "put them to bed". So if wanting a visit or adopt, go earlier in the day or be warned: you will be met by a grumpy staff member who will just want you to go away and to come back another day. Maybe that particular staff member was having a bad day? Regardless her attitude almost made us reconsider the adoption but I'm glad we did not. A simple shift in attitude is probably required if working a customer service desk. A positive greeting goes a long way even if you have to say no!

IntroversionExposure -: I recently approached Mississauga Animal Services to report a cat lying down in my backyard that had appeared ill or injured. The cat seemed unconscious as it was swarmed by large flies with no response from the cat. As welI, the cat would not respond to my loud clapping.I quickly realized this poor animal was in need of medical help. I called the Animal Services, and after a few routine procedure related steps, they dispatched an officer to my location within half an hour.Strangely, by the time the agent arrived, the cat was gone and nowhere to be found in my backyard. But there were large dripping of blood and/or body fluids on the spot where the cat was seen.It is too bad that cat could not be helped and we do not know its fate. Nonetheless, I appreciate the quick response from the Animal Services to attain to the situation expediently. Zia.

barb stiles: Fetch and Releash is the most amazing dog rescue organization. We have had our rescue with us now for a little under 3 months and it’s like she has always been here. She got off to a rocky start before she officially became ours she had an ear surgery that ended up with a major infection which led to 4 day stay at MOVEH and then another surgery, Fetch was there to support every step of the way. Their help and guidance was beyond anything we could of ever expected.
Chris D: Thank you so much for our newest fur baby addition. Teddy is settling in nice with our family. Our biggest complaint to Fetch + Releash is that the interaction was 100% honest. We were not mislead about the expectations which was a honestly not what we expected. They told us exactly what to expect and how to handle every situation because of their transparency. We love Teddy, thank you so much.Edit: since getting Teddy we frequent the site just to see all the cute puppies and read the reviews of all the families happy with their new additions. I have to say the negative reviews don’t seem to be factual based on our experience. The adoption process was all online except for the 2 meet and greets we did that were in person. There is a lengthy online application and a follow up call to make sure we were serious as well as good candidates. Every person we dealt with was honest and transparent to the point that we really were surprised how accurately they new our puppy and how honest they were. I’m not sure why the negative reviews have been posted especially the ones don’t even pertain to the business but I would be happy to share more of my families personal experience if anyone likes.

Everyone has to helpout and clean and do there part if they want to volunteer, but I understand that because this is a large Shelter and the work needs to be done daily from all of us ,to work as a team .The cats are well cared for, and Mangers are really nice people , only if you screw around and dont do your work , then you are told that this work is put on someone's else if its not done and i agree with this ,because some volunteers go there and stop working when the manager walks away.I give this place a 10 Star Cindy

Thats when inspiration struck- an animal shelter! I called them and asked of it was ok to visit even though we unfortunately wont be able to adopt. They asked and after a few mins allowed us! I was extatic!! My bf got to pet cats and even kittens for the first time. They were all very well taken care of. Of course i wanted to tip generously at the end, but they only had a donation box, which had to do. No problem. Thank you brampton animal services!! We will never forget you 💗💗💗

Mike Bell: I highly appreciate Brampton Animal Shelter and the great people that work there I've had to put a couple of dogs down there they give you a room with a couch blankets you can put on the floor your dog gets a sedative and then you stay until they fall asleep make your peace and they'll go back in and give the final shot. They also the control the stray cat population buy spading the females marking their ear and letting them back out were they were. And of course that's not everything they do. Thank you to the good people at all animal shelters

May Akbar: I went to pet valu on Tuesday this week and had a wonderful experience. Usually don't go to this location and was helped by a nice woman at the front desk. She helped me find treats for my cat who has a health condition. It was nice to visit a place where the staff don't rush you and have knowledge to share about their merchandise.
