Kaban is an ancient Mayan word and symbol that means "earth". Kaban is where children, the 'seeds' find the perfect place to grow, having an environment that allows them to absorb whatever they need to meet individual challenges. At Kaban, students are encouraged to explore and discover at their own pace. We provide a nurturing environment where children can develop their self-esteem, independence, and confidence. Through social learning, children can also learn teamwork and problem-solving skills. Our Montessori curriculum provides constructive and consistent learning experiences that allow children to develop socially, academically and physically.

Kaban offers a holistic environment with careful consideration of space, people, time, and the selection of activities for the classroom. We offer age specific programs such as Infant/Toddler Program, Casa Program, and Elementary, children are also welcomed to join our After School Program for fun and meaningful activities.

As a way of promoting physical activity throughout the day, all children will participate in cultural dance classes. 4worldlovers: The Montessori Materials in the classroom teach children abstract ideas in a concrete manner. We accept children from two to five years of age for both part time and full time programs.

Students are exposed to a wide variety of academic concepts where they will learn at their own pace and foster the necessary skills to be successful in both life and school.

Children may join either the half-day program or the full-day program. Programs are available for children ages 2 and up based on the yearly requirements.

For the half day program, you may choose the morning program from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or the afternoon program from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For the full day program, school hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The school is open from 7:30 a.m. and we close at 6:00 p.m. We provide an enriched Montessori experience, and a strong Montessori academic program for Preschoolers, Junior and Senior Kindergarten, and elementary school students.

4worldlovers: P.T. Montessori School is a private school that offers a Primary (Casa) program from ages 3 – 6 at our Toronto location. Our school offers an Elementary program from ages 6 – 10. It is located in the Black Creek and Lawrence area and is easily accessible by the T.T.C.


Our classrooms are designed to meet the needs of the child at different stages of development. Every classroom is fully equipped with the didactic Montessori material prescribed by the A.M.I. (Association Montessori Internationale). This prepared environment offers the child the opportunity to develop independence, self-esteem and confidence in their growing abilities.


P.T. Montessori School’s teaching staff is A.M.I. trained and dedicated to adhering to the Montessori philosophy. The school runs through the academic year (September-June) and offers before and after school programs, as well as a summer program, which starts at the third week of June through the last week of July.
