Kaiseki Yu-zen Hashimoto Restaurant: what do users think?

Claire Hoon: and the freshness as well as crispiness sent me to another dimension of bliss. The final course with musk melon was out of this world - the sweetness and juiciness of the flesh was incredible!Honestly all the dishes were hits and the only almost-miss on the menu was the fish dish with bones in it. While the flavours were impeccable and the soft bones were edible, the texture was weird and I wish they substituted it for a fish that was easier to eat.It would also be remiss not to mention the service. Haruna was our server and huge compliments to her for making our night very enjoyable with her explanation and hospitality. She went above and beyond in making sure we were well-attended to.We came here to celebrate my birthday and it is the birthday meal I will remember for life. I truly felt I was transported to Japan with the authenticity of the atmosphere, rarity of ingredients used, mastery of cooking techniques and just overall good food. It's pricey but well worth the money for a good occasion.ありがとうございました!

N P: This is a cultural and gastronomic experience. This isn’t just about the food…well not to me anyways…the engagement with staff learning about the kaiseki experience , centuries old , as well as the art work on the plates was phenomenal. I have no idea where 2.5 hrs went.Thank you to you all 🙏🏽

Erica M: What do you get a guy who has everything? An elite birthday dinner at Kaiseki Yu-zen! The experience was exquisite from start to finish. The entire restaurant holds just three tables. Each table is set in a separate and cozy room emulating the traditional "tatami" feel with western seating. Our server was impeccably professional, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable with every detail of our meal. Each dish was immaculately plated. I'd tell you to avoid a "spoiler alert" by skipping the photos, but your visual and taste experience will change with the meat, seafood and vegetables in season at the time. If you want a fine dining experience like no other, this is the place.

Edwin Philippe Alegre: An absolutely perfect kaiseki experience, I’m confident to say this was the best I’ve had outside of Japan. From the very beginning, the attention to detail is present. The staff immediately greet you and walk you to your seating area. As you make your way into the restaurant, the decor and ambiance of really pops out. Each decorative piece works as a whole to make you feel like you’ve been transported to Kyoto and prepares you for the work of art that is their kaiseki tasting menu. Even the movement of the servers showcased careful poise with no wasted movement, as each dish was placed with such care and love and a respectful bow as they enter and leave the room. They really have mastered the art quite well, as each dish stimulates all five of your senses individually. Each course itself is a work of art in its own right, the textures of each dish work well individually and together, feel like a harmonious symphony that doesn’t overpower you. I must give kudos to their house made sesame tofu, the texture of that dish was a personal favourite of mine. Their steamed dish also whetted your appetite as when you uncover it, the balance of the vegetables and red snapper emit a delicate scent that is is a stark contrast with the umami of the mingled broth formed at the bottom. Needless to say, each dish was absolutely delicious and inventive. The chef has not only mastered his art but showcases how well thought out his combinations of seasonal ingredients are. The pairings of each dish and how they prepare them prove it’s Michelin status. The only possible way they could have made the experience even more perfect would be to offer a seiza-style seating room with traditional tatami mats. I truly feel like that would make diners feel like they really have been transported to Japan. This has been my absolute favourite Michelin experience in Canada thus far. Kudos to all the staff!

Karen (Kren): Went for my boyfriend's 20th and it was phenomenal. The service and pace of the meal couldn't have been better and you leave feeling full but not uncomfortable.Food was delicious and a completely new sensory experience, each one was plated exquisitely. Truly a feast for all your senses! It's hard to pick a highlight out of all the course as each and every one had its unique quirks. I look forward to experiencing this in Japan when I get the chance.Thank you to our gracious host, Haruna. She was kind, patient, and extremely informative. And of course thank you to Chef K who went out of his way to greet us at the end of the meal and talk us through the Kaiseki experience.I look forward to coming back and trying their ever changing menu again. Gochisousama deshita!

Tom Zhao: Most authentic Japanese kaiseki restaurant in Toronto with both food and service at 5 star level.Recommended dishes Mountain Potato …

Mike Mandel: My wife took me here for my 70th birthday, and it was without a doubt, the best birthday and the best meal I've ever had. Fabulous service, food flavours beyond belief. Expensive, yes...but it's not fast food, it's Michelin dining. We had our own beautiful room, and felt like we were in Japan. The sake was incredible, the gorgeous food was off the scale. My wife actually teared-up when they served the course with the Japanese crane, carved from a single daikon radish. Incredibly serene and beautiful. After the meal the manager came out and spent time with us, answering our questions, and ensuring everything was perfect, which it was! This was not the kind of meal you have every week. It was a once in a lifetime experience; or perhaps once every ten years. The eight course meal lasted nearly four hours, and was absolutely perfect. Our server treated us so well, I felt like the Emperor of Japan. Perfect food, environment and service!

Stephan Herard: . There’s a magnificent entrance and walk to your dining room. As for the meal. The flavors slowly build up as the night goes on, each dish adding a bit more complexity than the last. From the food to the impeccable service, it’s an experience you will never forget. Amazing memories.

A S: Great experience, family owned. Perfect portions! You get a little bit of everything which leaves you super full.Recommended dishes …

Dan Korolnek: What a delightful experience! My wife and I went, and every dish served was phenomenal from start to finish. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and courteous, explaining the complexities of every course. We felt right at home in a beautiful Japanese setting. Hats off to the front and back of house.

Stephan Wang: One of the best in the city. Perfect atmosphere to enjoy Chef's masterpieces.

Andy: The attention to detail and personal touches were worth the price

Iron Chef Japanese Steakhouse: what do users think?

Jerry Thres: My family had never experienced teppanyaki hibachi before so took them to Iron Chef. The front staff was funny and energetic but wished that energy was passed on to our chef. He cooked the food well but just didn't bring any energy 😕. Not much showing off the skills, not playing with the egg, not interacting much with the crowd, no sake, and it felt like it ended too quickly. The food they cooked was really good but I have to take one star away for the lack of energy 😢.

Nimmy Jose: Food was tasty and the entertainment was good. The service was only ok. The servers seemed like they didn't want to be there.

Pepi _k97: Fun chefs and friendly atmosphere. Good food. Recommend 💯.

Sherry Johnson: Loved everything, atmosphere, service and especially the food.Recommended dishes Sashimi Parking space Not sure Parking options Free parking lot …

Katsuya - Mississauga: what do users think?

Anne Mac Donnell: Enjoyable place to eat. Love the place and of course the food.

Karim: Katsuya in Mississauga is a culinary delight for lovers of Japanese cuisine! Their menu showcases a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes that are both artfully presented and bursting with flavor. The sleek and modern ambiance, combined with attentive service, creates an enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're indulging in a chef's special roll or savoring fresh nigiri, Katsuya offers an authentic taste of Japan that's perfect for both sushi aficionados and those new to Japanese cuisine. It's a go-to destination for those seeking a memorable and delicious meal in a contemporary setting.

Joel Silas: Overall great experience.Food was pretty good, the honey fries were easily the best thing I had. The Katsu was overall ok, the Japanese Katsu sauce wasn't that great not sure what I expected but I was underwhelmed.Restaurant atmosphere and decor was very good.Negative points on service for having qr code menus instead of physical ones.

Nushaab Syed: Friendly service with an open kitchen. The fish used in the katsu is fried perfectly, and isn’t as greasy as it is elsewhere. The extensive selection of katsu sauces is great, and be warned that if something is marked as spicy it really is. The appetizers are not to be missed, the croquettes and takoyaki are delicious.

Gyubee Japanese Grill (Mississauga): what do users think?

Brian Kwong: , it is in the subtleties where you will find their uniqueness and an appreciation for what they do.First of all, there is no obnoxious vent right above the grill. The vent is built into the grill. There is no question that this works just as well since we didn't notice any smoke in the venue. A small touch like that means you can see everyone across the table without an obstructed view.Secondly, the food is also cooked over a wire mesh as opposed to a metal plate. This makes it so that there is significantly less surface area for meat to stick and burn to, it allows for a much better char from the flame underneath, and replacing the mesh is a lot more seamless than your waiter holding a burning hot metal plate across the restaurant each time. Finally, their specialty, the beef. The beef is seasoned very well and seem to be coming from very nice cuts with good quality. We just ordered all their beef offerings, and we liked it so much, we did it 3 times in one sitting. I don't think I've had AYCE BBQ where the beef was such high quality. The desserts offered to us were crème brûlée and melona bars. Both of which, you can offer multiple of. The crème brûlée was very well made, and I do recommend trying it.

SONIA SANCHEZ: Clean restaurant with neat atmosphere to enjoy allyou can eat Japanese food / barbecue 😋 .Vegetarian options: You can choose from a different vegetables to grill.

Brian Chau: Decently priced for the types of meats you can order. Reservations can only be done for groups of 6 or more, you will need to pay for anyone that is missing if you reserved and do not have 6 people with you. There is a 2 hours limit so it is ideal to almost always have food cooking on the grill and they will give a heads up last call for your order when the time is almost up. They do put 4 people to a table work one grill which may not be as great, I find it better to have 2-3 for one grill. Meats are generally above average in terms of taste.

Sushi Kaji Restaurant: what do users think?

David T: My honest review after eating at many different Omakase restaurant. After seeing 4.8 out 5 with many reviews I expected it to be WoW. Our seatings was at 6pm at the bar where you can see the chef make the food for you. If seatings are at 6pm always usually arrives 10 mins early so dinner can start right away, but doors didn't open till 6pm. The whole dinner felt like we were looking at the back of the chef's not an Omakase experience. Fish weren't as fresh for the price and the Uni color was definitely not right especially coming from Japan. Fish were chewy and felt like it was in the fridge for a few days. For a set price between 160 to 200 and no uni included felt quite expensive. Also repeated of fish during the course. The service staff were great though, always refilling tea and taking plates away.

Susan Wang: Came with my partner for his birthday and we had a wonderful experience. On par with many great omakase restaurants in Toronto. All the menu items were well thought out and the sashimi and nigiri very fresh and delicious. I left feeling quite full. They have a good sake menu. Ambiance is very chill and relaxing. The sushi chefs are all so sweet and chef Kaji himself hilariously animated. It was very clear the staff enjoy making sure you have a great time.

S Park: than more variety. Can’t wait to go back!

Kanda Sushi: what do users think?

Cathy Fajutagana: Ordered for pick up. Always good bento box. I order salmon. It is a good amount of food inside the box. Price is just about rightFood: 5/5 …

Justin Budikentjana: Pretty standard for an all you can eat sushi spot. What I really like about this place though is that you can send the order from the iPad yourself instead of waiting for one of the staff to eventually come to your table and confirm what is on the iPad like at other places. One thing to note is that for some reason the soy sauce was pretty weak or diluted which brought down the overall taste of the sushi.
