Leia Tomson: Nickel 9’s cocktail class was the second cocktail class I’ve attended in Toronto. My first was Reid’s Distillery and I will refer to it for comparison.Overall, N9 is a much more casual laid back experience. The founder/owner wore slide sandals, joggers and a T-shirt. Whereas the RD Mixologist wore a dark dress shirt and pants. Both classes included three cocktails and the opportunity to stir and shake. What stuck out about N9 is the relaxed structure of the class. There was more down time between each cocktail to sip and snack. A welcome surprise was the charcuterie board after the first cocktail and a fruit platter after the second cocktail. Both boards were fantastic, beautifully laid out and made with quality ingredients and unique spreads like local cinnamon honey. Shot glasses were provided to sample each of the spirits used in the cocktails. You can try any of their bitters. The instruction and execution of the class was well done. The ambience melded well with the distillery aesthetic and personality of the owner. Depicted is an espresso martini featuring N9s Maple Butter. It is delicious and I highly recommend it and the class. Thank you!

Blue: This place is charming and cozy. Great spot to have some drinks with friends. The owners are friendly and know their stuff!! Drinks are flavourful and creative. I enjoyed my time here with my husband and friends for an event they held there. Will visit again, definitely!!

David Mann: The tour and tasting experience is well worth the visit. One of the owners led the tour and tasting and gave a great history of gin. The tasting is also very informative since you try their gins straight, with ice, and mixed with a tonic. Definitely go check it out if you are in Toronto.

I learned more about drink stirring and shaking than I ever imagined that there is to know! 😂 We made 3 yummy cocktails, complete with garnishes and gorgeous glassware. Sharifa Riley: One of the best experiences we've had at a "alcohol tour". My husband and I have done many wine tours, but we've never done a gin tour before. My husband, sister and I, all love gin, so we decided to take my sister for a tour for her birthday. Graham was our tour guide, and he was so energetic and passionate about his family's gin distillery. We had many delicious gin tasting's, learned a lot about cinnamon vs. cassia, had a delicious charcuterie board, bought a lot of gin, and a lot of merch. We're situated in Brampton, so we took transit to the distillery, and I am glad we did because we got a little tipsy with fun. 100% recommend, and we'll be back!

The folks at Spirit of York welcomed us and were so helpful as we needed somewhere to post-up for a couple hours. The staff were all SO sweet and helpful and the drinks were great!
