The entire process from estimating to selecting materials ,design and completion of the work on schedule was the most enjoyable and easiest renovation I have ever done from Start to Finish . I’ve done many renovations, and never thought that I could have all the work done in three weeks; 2 bathrooms, hardwood floors throughout , 2 new oak staircases and so much more . We bought our home built by JT last December 2007. We noticed a fine craftsmanship all over the home since our first visit. J.T is a reliable professional. He has complied with our requests in a timely manner. JT has a great team of workers that make him excel in his business. If we have to buy another property, we won’t hesitate to ask him to be our builder.
We bought a new home that JT (TRUbuild Fine Homes and Renovations) was already in the process of building. This gave us the opportunity to select our own finishes and make slight modifications to the original plan. JT was highly receptive to this and built us an exceptional home. The after sales service was handled very professionally. JT and his supervisor Dave were highly responsive and truly care about quality of their work and craftmanship.
JT is an honourable businessman. He is accessible and makes good on promises. In a business that is largely unregulated, he was able to maintain a standard that many other contractors/builders/project managers don’t even aspire to. Our kitchen reno and great room were completed on time (three months to the day) and whenever the usual construction problems or issues with workers happened (and these problems and issues seem to be the norm in this business) he dealt with them in a timely and honest manner.

Leonard Patterson: I chose M&D Builders for major renovations to our home in the early fall of 2021. The work involved “gutting” a finished basement, kitchen, main floor powder room, a family room and a connecting hall.The re-construction required extensive plumbing and electrical work, installation of new trims, casings, doors and site preparation for new cabinetry as well as installation of new wood floors, tile floors, and finally all finish painting. M&D Builders installed new pot lighting through-out the renovated areas, as well as, installation of all kitchen and bathroom appliances and fixtures. A new bathroom was constructed in the basement where extensive concrete work was necessary to connect service lines.My negotiations with Mike Messiha the Project Manager and his staff, particularly Les Zwierkowski, were never confrontational, and time after time, they found ways to accommodate my requests and often suggested creative solutions to construction and/or design issues we encountered during the renovation.Work was done efficiently by all trades, and housekeeping was excellent.Mike Messiha and his support crews were easy to work with, and I intend to use them on additional renovations. After getting several no-shows, slow responses and very high estimations, I, fortunately, came across M & D Builders who not only thoroughly reviewed the washroom but gave an honest assessment of what to expect along with a very reasonable price. Mike was open to listening to what we had in mind and helped us give insights and ideas of achieving the looks best. The process from the initial contact to the finished product was well organized and transparent. Mike had briefed us correctly on what we needed to do and what he could do and was even kind enough to accommodate us when we couldn't fulfill our requirements. Communication throughout the time frame was excellent. Now the washroom is complete, Mikes's communication has been fantastic, and he was open to listening to our concerns and resolving those issues as soon as possible. M & D Builder's work was sincere, and they made sure there were no issues behind the walls or within pipes, and immediately contacted us and asked for our suggestions when they saw something that may potentially cause harm in the future. They even took the initiative of going above and beyond our agreement to ensure that we got our dream washroom, for which we are very appreciative.
