4worldlovers: A construction and maintenance electrician Pre-Apprenticeship Program designed to give students the right mix of theoretical and hands-on training to make them successful apprentices.

A Plumber Pre-Apprentice Program designed to give students 80% of the time working in the lab with hands on skills. Students learn installing and maintaining systems used for potable (drinking) water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems.

The Intro to Home Renovation Program at the Skilled Trades College of Canada was designed to meet the current need for skilled trade workers in Ontario’s booming construction industry. In just 12 weeks, students collectively build a 1000 square foot house to completion, with finishes. Students will cover the basics of Framing, Drywall, Taping, Footings, Vapor Barrier, Insulation, rough-in Electrical, rough-in Plumbing, and all relevant general construction work.

Network Cable Technician Pre-Apprenticeship is designed to give students 80% of the time working in the lab with hands on skills. Students will learn data cabling, Networking Switches and devices, installing a security system and more.

As of October 1st, 2017 Working at Heights became the new requirement as set out by the Ministry of Labour. It is now MANDATORY on all job sites. Skilled Trades College offers Working at Heights to students and companies looking to take or refresh their safety certificate. Our program is designed to establish a mandatory minimum standard for high quality and consistent training for workers who work at heights in the Province of Ontario with real world scenarios.

4worldlovers: The Ontario Masonry Training Centre (OMTC) is a Ministry approved Training Delivery Agent for the Brick and Stone Masonry Trade offering programs at our campuses in Mississauga and Ottawa (Orleans).


Masonry is a skilled trade that combine brick, concrete block, stone, glass block, tile and terra cotta using mortar cement to join them together.


The workers who work with these materials are called Masons or Bricklayers.


The OMTC Partners finance the majority of the costs associated with offering top caliber programs to our trades’ people.
