Lori S.: Mississauga Long Term Care Facility provided outstanding and loving care for my mom who was in chronic pain and required frequent monitoring, repositioning, and medication. I had heard it had a good reputation, but the level of care here far exceeded my expectations: each and every PSW, nurse, chef, cleaner, Tom the maintenance supervisor, and the management team including Irene and Monica, played a vital role in providing warm, kind, and loving care for my mom and support for me and my family. I was especially impressed with how they listened to my suggestions and really respected my role as Power of Attorney. If you are reading this and wondering if you should accept a spot here for your loved one, I strongly suggest not to hesitate: you won't be disappointed. Although the home looks weathered, it has a beautifully warm feeling with cozy rooms and most importantly staff who have love and compassion for each resident. I am forever grateful that I discovered this lovely gem in the heart of Port Credit.

Mike Carella: My mother was fortunate enough to reside at Villa Forum for 5 years, where she received excellent care. We knew right away that mom would enjoy her time there, everyone was so welcoming and the lobby was decorated for Spring and so inviting. We realized as the time went on that the lobby is always decorated for the seasons. The caregiving staff and administration office were helpful and professional especially at the end of her life journey. We so much appreciate all the effort and attention to detail that was taken by the PSWs, nurses, activity team and the administration staff to make sure mom received top quality care. The social calendar at Villa Forum was always full of entertaining activities for the residents to enjoy such as music, live entertainment and religious events. We will miss socializing with both the staff and residents and being part of the Villa Forum family. A big thank you to the Villa Forum staff from myself and the Carella family!

I was fortunate to be offered a part-time position in the maintenance department working with a bunch of great people.Most residents have now got to know me and it brings me joy to see that I can put a smile on their face.

Eleonora has always worked closely with me ever since I was a PSW. Eleonora is extremely hardworking, and genuine – I knew I could always count on her to provide me with extra support. I remember one time I was late for breakfast because I couldn’t figure out what one of the resident’s morning routine was. Without me saying anything, Eleonora showed up and took over so that I could serve in the dining room – I will never forget this act of kindness, especially during such a time of distress. Larry was always such a fun person to be around. His stories have taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me throughout life. I knew that I could always turn to Larry to lighten my mood and to provide me with words of encouragement.From the staff members on the floor to the staff members working in the office, all of you are the reasons why Villa Forum has such a great reputation. You guys make Villa Forum shine! Keep up the great work and continue to strive for greatness
Frances Livi: The nurses especially Joanne and PSW Carmelita were the most caring and compassionate ladies. They treated my mom like their own family. However the disappointment and coldness of the Administration staff was what I really am upset at. Never returned calls, and just overall were not helpful. They were okay to take your money though. Mom died last week and the palliative nurses and PSW were wonderful. Not once did any of the admin staff call us or come up to see how my mom or my family was. When mom died they were so cold, they got rid of her belongings downstairs the next day and called my sister to come and pick up the stuff immediately. My mom had just died the night before. While picking up my mom's belongings the morning after her funeral, Ivana finally came out to offer her condolences after my mom was almost there for a year. Didn't even know who I was or who my mother was. Like I said the PSW and nurses are wonderful and caring but the admin staff is horrible to deal with.

Angelica Perilla: My father got transferred in September by the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and we can’t be more thankful for the support. We would like to give a heartfelt to thank the ESN team and specially Kaitlyn Wynnyk for all they have done for my father. The hard work, dedication and compassion show everywhere. They all make a huge difference in our lives and our community. Knowing that they are all there and care so much takes an enormous worry off our minds. Diane S: My dad was transferred from Trillium hospital to this home’s 4th floor unit in October. This place is wonderful. I cannot express how happy we are dad is being cared for by the amazing team on this floor for Alzheimer’s, dementia patients. They respect their patients, treat them like family, and interact with them no matter what. My dad has bounced back from a long stay at Trillium. He’s happy, busy and his needs are all taken care of. The nurse is transparent with everything. This is a good home. Thank you to the management team and everyone involved with 4th floor care.

Shelly G: We just packed up mom's room at the LTC residence today. After only 6 months it was hard to say goodbye ... those ladies have come to mean so much to us. The level of genuine compassion at that residence was beyond compare ♥️♥️♥️. We couldn't have had better care for mom anywhere else. Right from the gals at the front door, management, dining, laundry, cleaning, medical, and all the personal support staff. It didn't matter who entered her room, or crossed your path in the hall. charlene Ash-seddon: Toured the home last week.the christmas decor was so warm. It felt like home. I was impressed the guide knew all the residents by name and greeted each one. The rooms are spacious even basic. They had a resident cat and bird that I seenLarge courtyard which was secured.it was clean .had a place called the nook for coffee .Not as big or fancy as some other places . But it was nice. Residents I met all seemed happy and cared for. My only issue I wish the brochure showed picture of the rooms. As I an not the only family member and explaining the rooms is difficult without picture of the facility.

PRISCY NHYIRA TV: I’m giving 5 stars to my preceptor, Roxanne at Heritage House. She was a great preceptor, loving and supportive and so caring. Tanya Endert: Incredibly pleased with this Care home. The building which looks like a villa is situated in a nice green space. All the rooms have lovely views with mature trees all around. The place is immaculately clean and the staff is professional, caring and accommodating. I have dealt with everyone from Administration, front desk personnel, RN's, POW's and maintenance and everyone has bent over backwards to help and has made my Step Mother feel cared for. We have had nothing but a positive experience and would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for quality care for their loved ones.
Roly Tomatoes: We have a relative here in Heritage House wing and are very happy with the quality of care. Our relative is always clean and dressed in clean clothes, the common areas and her room are tidy, the meals look good and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The medical reports are thorough; communication is always clear. It's a relief to know that our relative is in such a good place.

They have daily activities that she loves and looks forward to.My husband loves the place. He can finally relax knowing his 91 year old mother is very well cared for and she is happy.Its been about 3 months or so since we moved her there. Lynn Woodward: My Mom recently passed away after living at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care for 8 years. The day she arrived we were told that Cawthra Gardens wasn't just Mom's home it was our home. The people there made us feel at ease and they have truly become part of our family. They are caring, kind, and respectful. The PSWs treated Mom with dignity and respect; in fact all of the staff did. Everyone there was helpful, kind, easily approachable and willing to help. Their depth of caring is evident in the fact that they did not lose a single resident to COVID-19. That is saying a lot considering how challenging the past 2 years have been for so many living in congregate care. Thank you to everyone at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care for making the last 8 years of Mom's journey with Alzheimer's such a good experience for the whole family.
Gail Walker: I have nothing but great things to say about Cawthra Gardens. My mother was there for 2.5 years before she passed away and now my father is there. The Nursing staff, Housekeeping staff and Recreation Staff are kind and caring. Management is experience and skilled. The home's infection control practices over the Pandemic proved to be outstanding. The Administrator operates the home with compassion and integrity. I would definitely recommend this home.

This has been done.My concern is for the dedicated and caring staff who have been wrongly smeared with negative comments in some posts. I hope that you are not discouraged, that you do not have a heavy heart. You are doing important work that I am unwilling or unable to do. You are appreciated for your skills, and your compassion, and everything that you bring to the table.
D René: Beautiful home even better nursing staff. I posted a review a year ago.This home is by far one of the best homes in Mississauga/GTA! Its no wonder why the wait list is so long, and why they are among the top 5 nursing home in the GTA. Our Grandmother is on one of their units and she could not be happier. She is surrounded by loving and devoted staff. In this home I remember understanding their are 192 residents in the facility. Now in regards to the recently bad reviews, I feel awful for the Fraser family, losing a loved one is never easy, and missing items that are cherished is disheartening. My condolences. But what are 10,000 memorabilia doing in a long term care facility? It makes no sense. Things will go missing for sure as this is a big facility, how many things are missed placed in peoples personal home? What are boxing gloves doing in a long term care facility. I would be concerned for the safety of my grandmother if she was on that floor! Something is not adding up as I am sure that the home would weight out the risk of a former boxer caring boxing gloves in this home. The Management and staff are kind and the staff amazing. You can feel it when you walk through there front doors, and on the home unit. If you are looking for a place to place your loved ones, this is the home. There is a wait list at this home for a reason, my grand aunt has been waiting for 10months thus far.
m. sadowski: My mother has dementia and has been at Cawthra Gardens for the past 10 years. She will be 90 this March and I know she has received excellent care. They call me constantly with updates. Maria is especially wonderful in Beech Court. They even arranged a dermatologist for my mom as she has a sore that is not clearing up as she is diabetic. I looked at many nursing homes before this one and here the residents are always clean and looked after. I do wish they kept better track of clothing as things tend to disappear in the wash and wind up in other rooms. I know because she is sometimes wearing clothing that I never bought her. As for the memorabilia and valuables ,I would never bring that into a nursing home. My mother lost her dentures as dementia patients wander into each others rooms and take things. Dolls, stuffed animals, and teeth. She would up with two uppers and proceeded to put them in tissue and throw in the garbage. I certainly do not expect the staff to root through the garbage cans. I feel for the family who lost memorabilia but they really do their best. Kind nurses and PSWS who take wonderful care of my mother to provide her with a good quality of life is my only priority.

Cheri Natale: Credit River’s team have been wonderful helping us to transition dad from his home to their Retirement home . We had many questions and concerns going in however they were handled with patience and honesty and , in the end , we felt this was the best place for our father to live a better quality of life. Their team of nurses and psw’s are kind and attentive . We know dad will be well taken care of .
Terry Honner: To appreciate this review you have to understand that moving my loved one out of her home into an unfamiliar environment was one of the most agonizing decisions I ever had to make. Now I feel that moving her to Credit River has been one of the best decisions we made with respect to her care. It warms my heart to see her living on the memory care floor with wonderful people, just like her, who are treated with the utmost dignity and care. The staff are kind and patient, and the environment is cozy with all the elements of home - right down to the warm raisin toast and tea before bedtime.

I was afraid that the transition would be difficult for her but the amazing staff at Credit River helped her transition into a flourishing daily routine. The special events the staff organize are AMAZING!!! There have been a number of occasions where my husband and I have gone to visit her and she is having such a good time she didn't even notice us!!!!! From the front door to the laundry room each and every person makes you feel welcome and appreciated. In actual fact I must say that we have such a good time visiting with my mom, that it makes me so grateful that I chose Credit River for her and feel she is finally living her best life!!! Arnold Yhip: In May 2021, I relocated my sister from another retirement facility when her day-to-day support urgently called for 24-7 care and attention. The move was executed in difficult times as Public Health rules around Covid-19 severely imposed limits and restrictions on in-person meetings, physical inspection of facilities, timelines and windows for setting up my sister in her new residence…to list just a few.My principal contact at Credit River was Ms. Shantel Prashad who demonstrated an appreciable degree of flexibility in managing the process and a good level of cleverness when problems came up. All in all, Ms. Prashad ensured the move was seamless and less onerous on me.Fourteen-months on, and relatively speaking, my sister has settled in. The staff in Memory Care treat her with patience and kindness and, as warranted, they communicate frequently with me on matters pertaining to my sister’s her day-to-day care and support.

Chantal was fantastic to take the time to hear our needs for my father and how we were dealing with my mother on a different note. She was empathetic and truly cared about us. They were very flexible on start date and the day of the move was simple and easy! Claudine LaRochelle: We had to find a place for my mom who has Alzheimer’s Disease. I am very protective of my mother so I had a lot of reservations. When we met with Shantel, she understood exactly what I needed and that made me feel comfortable. Once my mom moved in, all the staff at Credit River Residences made me feel very welcome in the process of getting my mom adjusted, and they are very honest and transparent with me as to what’s working and what’s not. They are open to suggestions and trying new ideas, and they do not hesitate to call me and let me know when things are good or not so good with my mom.As such, I would have no hesitation in recommending Credit River Residence to anyone.

I was warmly greeted and given a tour of the facilities and found that it provided all the services that my father needed for his care. We were first impressed with the diligence of the physical assessments prior to acceptance and then impressed by the way the team worked together to accommodate everyone with everything from move in to settling in. It's been 4 months since move in and I think what has impressed me the most is the positive way team members interacts with residents. I've witnessed so many instances of compassion that you would think staff were caring for their own folks. I've also witnessed where a team member interacted with a resident who seemed to be having a really tough day - they immediately recognized the situation, comforted the resident and successfully redirected their attention to a new subject and activity.The management team also treats residents as if they were their own parents and seem to know all the residents by name! All the staff excel at demonstrating team work and it's easy to see they have each other's back and like each other.Credit River Retirement Residence puts on some great gala events where it's "all hands on deck"! It doesn't matter if it's in the evening or on weekends - everyone is pitching in! Its an outstanding team!Four months in, we're very happy to have moved our folks to Credit River Retirement Residence.
Paul Eck: As a Credit River resident for over two years, there have been several opportunities for me to use my career skills in the development of some special programs for all residents. Most recently, I was able to work closely with senior staff to produce a major outdoor concert with the Mississauga Pops Concert Band. Staff here are highly energetic, friendly and very professional!

When it came time to seriously consider moving our Mom from her independent condo to a community home that would provide her with meals some personal care, we visited many facilities and Credit River was the one that impressed us immediately.The staff was friendly and positive, the environment bright and cheerful and the decor clean and modern. P Dhd: One of their staff Arshdeep Kaur has been assigned to take care of my dad for the last few months; we find her service outstanding. She is very punctual, caring, empathetic in her care which is greatly helping in the physical and emotional recovery and well being.
Kerri Patterson: We have been with Home Instead for several years and anytime we call the office they have been so helpful. We have had the same caregiver for over 1 year now Gurpreet and she is so amazing and professional. My son requires the services. He is non verbal and Gurpreet always comes with a smile on her face and talks to my son as she was having a conversation with someone who is verbal. He is kept clean and comfortable when she is caring for our son. We our so grateful she is our son’s caregiver. One more thing to mention as the people are so professional and well organized , Danielle called and introduced herself and advised what her position is dealing with my son which we appreciate and so we have a name and contact information should we have any issues. Also to mention Arden is also another contact for our son’s team and she is also very professional and assists us with our requests we may. In the end if I were to choose an agency to assist with my sons care most definitely we would have Home Instead off Mississauga.

Jennifer Williams: We have only the best things to say about Home Instead and the way they went above and beyond to take care of our Mom.Our companion Miriam was truly a gift! She learned about Mom and what she enjoyed, and then ensured her findings were incorporated into Mom’s daily routine. She cooked and shopped for Mom, played games, sang songs and went for walks. She even attended medical and hair appointments.On several occasions Mom had to go to emergency and Miriam waited with her for hours. Sometimes she worked a double shift without even being asked. Fraser Anderson: Hi Folks, my name is Fraser and I'd like to share some of my family's experience with Home Instead and their staff. We found ourselves in a rather urgent situation with my father, who suffers from dementia. With one phone call and a couple of emails, I was able to arrange for a Caregiver to be with my dad within two days of contacting Home Instead. This addressed our immediate concerns regarding my dad's wellbeing, and that of others, which was critical in our case. Once the Caregivers were on site with my dad, his behavior issues were overcome with communication, compassion and caring. My dad started referring to his Caregiver as his co-worker during the daily visits, which was a nice way to think of my dad's day. The interaction of the Caregivers that spent time with my dad every day, along with the staff at Credit River Retirement, made my dad's time much more enjoyable and engaging for him, which was our goal.Home Instead were extremely helpful at a critical time, and their response was a huge relief for our family. Janet M: . He sorely missed his wife since her passing in May 2020 and spent many days in hospital. At Amica City Center he was receiving excellent care but we needed more hours. Based on referral from other family members, I contacted Home Instead. So glad I did, and we arranged 24/7 care.Home Instead provided excellent day and night shift Care Givers who came to know and care for him. They were there whenever he needed support, helping with his meals, taking him to resident activities, etc. They also worked well with Amica City Centre nurses and PSWs, plus the Home and Community Care Support Services - Mississauga Halton.The office staff, Navdeep and her coworkers always kept me up to date when shift changes were needed. Every Care Giver from Home Instead provided excellent care and knew when to call for nursing support and when to call me. I always got excellent updates either on visits or by phone.It was very busy with the comings and goings of other care providers from Amica City Centre, the Palliative team, deliveries of medication, and it was so helpful to me as prime family contact to know that medical supplies, meals and laundry were handled.Darshika, Sandeep, Shaifali and especially Lovepreet deserve commendation for caring for my broker-in-law over the three months he was in their care and especially when he finally was able to join his beloved ‘beautiful wife’, my sister!

Teekah ramnauth: My mother-in-law who is 91 years old with dementia was accepted as a resident about a month ago.We find her semi- private room spotless with a large window. The entire property is spotless and is well maintained.All the staff from the director to the receptionist are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome.The staff who take care of her daily needs are extremely kind, joyful and caring. They make my mother-in-law feel happy and engage as much as possible. A special shoutout to Sonia, Lydhia and Joyce who have formed a bond of trust with her. They go beyond their duties to make her feel comfortable.All the staff are special humans who joyfully perform very difficult tasks. Yes, I have observed abusive residents but yet to see any negative response from any of the staff.In my view all the workers are angels as they are serving the most delicate people. Many seldom get visits from family.My special gratitude to all the staff who together help to make the last days of our love one’s comfortable as possible. Mike “Venom Ninja” Hilario: Located just down the street from Erin Mills Town Center, this long-term care facility has a lot of nice parks surrounding it. There's a Tim Hortons directly across the street from it. You can spend having coffee with your loved ones there to get some fresh air. There's a covid lockdown right now so not many people are out and about. Hopefully this will end soon and we can get back to normal living. Stay safe out there people and keep washing those hands!
