Grimsby Urban Wildlife Care: what do users think?

Sandie Mead: Really kind and caring people. Responded immediately and took in the little bat on my property.Thank you 😊

Michele Oppenhimer: Bryan went above and beyond in his efforts to detain, trap, and remove the clan of squirrels that were taking over my attic. I highly recommend him. He is a hard worker and a great communicator. Highly responsive. His pest obstructions were expertly crafted. 5 stars!

irene carrey: Homeless baby squirrel found on ground eyes closed. It was taken by St Catharines Human Society and taken care of with Grimsby for two months and than brought back to where it was found in St. Catharines at a good time before cold weather. We at St Catharines are so happy to see baby squirrel able to be put back in trees and live around our trees as well, he’s very healthy.

Jule McDowell: Brett and his team are real pros. We had bats in the ceiling and exterior wall in our garage and laundry room. I got an education from Brett and his crew about humane bat removal. The crew was pleasant and professional. This was Customer Service satisfaction at its finest, and it came from the top down. Any service that we need for critter removal again, and I'll be calling these folks again. This, by the way, was my second experience with them. Both were effective, experienced, and courteous.

Sagan Android: I pulled a carstruck squirrel out of 5 lanes of traffic on Thanksgiving, when there is no help for animals. Toronto animal places said they would euthanize because "no vets are in until the next day". Un-freaking-acceptable. Luckily I heard about Urban Wildlife Care. They took in the squirrel and 24 hours later they had the squirrel in surgery and he did fine! Urban Wildlife Care deserves your support!

Kim Franken: I wasn't sure if they would take a bat that I had rescued . I left an message on the answering machine . Cara called back immediately. I don't have a vehicle and a volunteer offered to pick it up and take it there. Very kind and wonderful people. I found out what kind of bat ..Big Brown.. and thanks to Bat World Sanctuary for the great advice to where to go!!Thank you for your awesome response and for your helping hand . ❤❤

Milan Plentai: Cara, a truly remarkable and caring person who operates a registered wild life sanctuary.

Kornél Kalotai: I found two baby squirrels in our bin and I gave them to raise them properly. I wrote an email to them the day before. I've got the response really soon! It was absolutely positive! Good to know that, you guys will take care of them! Thank you!

Angelica Barrios: Cara is very good at rescuing wild animals, she also needs donations to keep doing her great job.

刘安琪: Everyone is really nice, they will take care of baby animal immediately.

Justin Veritas Aequitas: So beautiful you'll fly away to another far off place due to all the mosquitos carrying you away. Great aerial views achieved

Joe Schacher: It is a quiet place for thinking about all the bad things in your life and letting them float away. Unless you go in early spring, in which case you might do the floating away because this area floods at that time.

KMC: Fun but lots of mosquitoes!

Christian Razpotnik: Nice area. White tailed deer trail is worth the hike. 3km, +- 45mins.

Kristie LeBeau: My son has been very into reptiles lately so I brought him here after Googling the closest reptile zoo near me. Although it's in Hamilton and I'm not a fan of that city and it seems like it was built into the side of a building at the time as soon as we walked in we were greeted so nicely it was a great little reptile zoo we gave ourselves a bit of a tour and walked around looking at all the different reptiles and animals. They had amazing stuff that were very knowledgeable and educated and the one girl who is teaching during one of their showings really helps my son when he got a little scared of one of the animals! She was amazing and patient and caring and really helped him through his emotions and showed him a bunch of different other animals and cheered him up it was an amazing experience. We were there Monday Aug 21/2023 whoever she was thank her for me!!!!

Craig Thompson: Went a few weeks ago with the family. Near close the one employee took time to show off some of the reptiles, really taking the time to share his knowledge. Before leaving he drew my daughter a snake picture which she absolutely loved. Employees like this are hard to find, it's quite clear this isn't just a job to him but a passion. I hope management sees this comment and the employee gets the proper recognition.

Kasia K: Great experience for kids of all ages. The staff present various animals and they do a great job in interacting with the kids allowing them to touch some animals.Took off one star as $20 +tax per adult seems a bit high. But worth it.

Jennifer L.: were allowed to be touched which sure was one of the highlights there todayI'm super impressed and can't wait to come back to learn more about all theses li'l wonderful animals.Oh, I should add on everybody from the team crossing our way was very friendly, smiling and welcoming. It was just a joy over all to be here.

Adam M: Very serene Park, nice for walking and taking a break from the city. There are lots of trails to walk on and the view of the water is serene with lots of swans and ducks. I would have given 5 stats but I don't like that you have to pay to park and also that it is so close to the highway.

Natalia Bogdan (Talia): Great little spot for a picnic or a walk. There are lots of benches and picnic tables in the area and it's not too busy. Decent amount of parking in the parking lot or along the road. You do need to pay for parking and it's $3/hour. The parking meter only takes credit or you can pay with an app. It's more out of the way than the rest of the RBG properties so a great little spot if you want somewhere quiet. There's also a small dock just by the parking lot if you want to use a kayak or canoe. There's lots of info boards to tell you about the wildlife and plants that are being protected here. There is also a bus that runs to this property too.

Sean B: Great placePLEASE DON'T FEED THE BIRDS OR OTHER ANIMALS!!

Jamie O'Donnell: Excellent early August hike in the Eramosa Karst CA. Took a meandering route through both the meadow area and forested area. So many wildflowers in bloom! Wild carrot, white sweet clover, chicory, goldenrod, and more. The fissures, caves, and springs of the karst landscape are very cool to see. Some trail markers are rather faded, so pick up a paper map from the sign near the parking lot, or perhaps take a photo of the map board.Picnic tables are available under a shelter, and washrooms are present. Very well maintained trails throughout the park many of which are stroller or walker friendly. There are access trails into the park from surrounding roads such as Highland and a parking lot at the main entrance on Mt. Albion road.A great place in all seasons - spring ephemerals like trilliums in the forested areas, wildflowers all summer in the meadow, fall colours and the beauty of winter snow.Worth repeated visits!Dog-friendliness: Leashed dogs are welcome. Lots of ticks reported - stay on the trails.

Aruna Mani: Went on Sunday mid morning. The cost for 6 adults and 2 kids is $141. The parking is free and there is adequate space to park. The entrance to the zoo has a store with some cute little gifts and candy. It is not a massive zoo, but right sized when walking around with kids. It took us about 90 minutes entry to exit with 10 minutes washroom break before exiting. Kids will enjoy walking around looking at the animals and learning about them. They have a separate reptile room with some snakes and others. The washrooms are well maintained.

Jordan Powell: Will back towards them .

Dominika Kurpiel: . The paths are rocks/farm like, we used our wagon. Many families had strollers or wagons. We were thinking of bringing our daughters wheelchair but with the hills she would not make it up them.We loved the variety of animals, all animals looked healthy. The staff were very friendly. A young staff member saw us waiting for a wheelchair accessible bathroom to use the change table and she went in there and wiped it all down before we got in which was so kind of her, as she said it was covered in sand.Lots of places to rest with umbrellas and tables in the shade. We sat and had our picnic lunch watching tigers walking around. Took us 2.5 hours with our lunch break to enjoy the place. Plenty of free parking on sight. Make sure you use your accessibility card if you have one.
