D Lamb: Toby's hands down has the best 'home cooked' meals. Super friendly staff and the food is delicious. Clean environment and you feel like you're visit family for a meal. C. Lee: My coworkers and I have been coming here for about a year or so, and the service and food is always excellent. One thing I noticed that rekindled my faith in humanity is that Toby's allows a few houseless people sit and drink coffee when its very cold outside. Thank goodness someone in this city has a sense of responsibility for our fellow people. I hope Toby's never leaves Jackson Square!

No one was in a rush to take our order, the food came supremely late even though it didn’t feel that busy, no one checked in on us once the meal arrived and no one rushed to get us the bill. It wasn’t overly unpleasant or anything but I wonder if that’s just part of the vibe they’re going for? Yvonne Dunbar: This place is a hidden gem in Hamilton. Their breakfasts are amazing. Beautifully plated, tasty and they offer alternatives ie turkey bacon. The service is excellent. The chef has a gift beyond talent, I’m completely blown away but the quality, execution and consistency of my meals here. PERFECT octopus, beyond flavourful and silky risotto, thick cut salmon, it’s unmatched. Price point is reflective of the quality your getting, it’s high for the area but I prioritize an above and beyond meal here over even my other favourites. It’s incomparable. Ricky and Gary remember absolutely everything from my visits when I come through, they are both so personable and work together well to make us laugh and feel so welcomed and catered too. They indulge me completely and I truly feel like I’m being hosted by friends. Highly highly recommend. Go see the renovation alone, it’s magic how they transformed that space and refreshed such beautiful features in the building. I love their taste in decor. Truly a place to impress. I started with the wedge salad, scallops and ordered the tenderloin with the lyonnaise potato and vegetables as my main. delores maas: We attended the Conversate Restaurant originally for my daughters birthday in April and we experienced a couple of new opening learning issues that had nothing to do with the exceptional food. We spoke with Jessica and she handled our situation in such a positive and appreciative manner that we returned and received a personal treatment that was above and beyond what I have experienced anywhere. The food was exceptional, our server was knowledgeable about the food and made excellent suggestions to help us choose from the many delicious sounding dishes. We had a beautiful tomato based butter with soft warm bread. We each had a delicious appetizer, entree and shared desserts. We enjoyed our meals with wine and would highly recommend you plan to make attending this restaurant a relaxed experience and enjoy without rushing through each course. Ron Golden: West End Diner has become our "go to" place when you hit one of those nights where you just don't feel like cooking.You'll have a tough time finding a restaurant that has such an extensive menu, and I can't say we've ever been disappointed in anything they serve.Portions are very generous, so you usually leave with leftovers for another meal at home. So the reasonable prices are even better considering that you're likely to get extras from it.I think the best part of it though is that it's a family owned business who obviously put their heart and soul into it. It's a place I feel deserves the support of the local community they service.

Cassandra Gonzales: Pictured here are the The French Onion burger with Cajun fries and the Duck Wings with honey lime sriracha - damn delicious! The burger was hella tasty and just loaded with toppings. They didn’t skimp on the cajun seasoning on the fries at all. My only complaint would be to leave more of the meat on the duck wings, they’re so yummy. Oh, and their homemade ketchup is amazing!We sat out in the front patio, which they could definitely add a few more tables at. Service was SO kind and attentive. Definitely need to come back at try their other burgers.

I had the Yankee burger and it was SO good my only tiny problem is the fries are a bit too salty for me but other than that the food was delicious. I definitely recommend if you want a really good burger.
Chase Robertson: Southern catfish was so great! The only reason I’m giving 4/5 is because the fries were definitely over salted. I was drinking quite a bit of water just to only eat about half. Enough about that though because the flavor of the catfish was so great!Vibes were immaculate. Such a chill spot. Jim T: Went here for breakfast today, haven't been to this restaurant since I was a kid, and they really made some changes for the better of course lol. The dining area is very nice and clean. The restaurant was pretty full with customers so there was a little bit of a wait for our food, but when the food came it was well worth the wait. We all had the eggs and bacon breakfast which came with home fries, toast and jam. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was nice and crispy, and the home fries were great too. The waitress was very attentive, and came back a few times to refill our coffee's. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very family friendly people of all ages there. I really enjoyed my breakfast, and would definitely recommend this establishment. P.S. next time I'm getting the sausage with my eggs, cause I seen others that got it, and they looked very delicious and big!Kid-friendliness: There was people of all ages here, families are definitely welcomed.Parking: Plenty of parking beside the restaurant.

Niousha Gazor: Fairly priced, generous portions for breakfast foods. Very friendly staff.
Matthew Le Sage: 1st time there and got a Turkey Club with Fries and Gravy along with a great coleslaw. The entire meal was great with good portions. I always enjoy the "Diner" atmosphere, seeing the cooks in back whipping up various orders. Next time I will try something different as a club sandwich was a safe choice for 1st time. Something that was nice to see was the recognition from servers to regulars coming in, always nice to get that feeling. Service was great and quick, no waiting.
