I only allowed two places to sharpen my skates . With one of them closing, however, we were in a bind one Saturday. We were playing here and decided to risk this place. Wow, he did a great job and I could tell he knew what he was doing. It is a premium job for a Canadian Tire price. Great value. The only drawback is the limited hours but if you plan to get your skates done on Saturdays you will be fine.
I'm very picky about skate sharpening (I sharpened skates for Just Hockey and National Sports in my youth). They do a fantastic job and he did a skate repair for daughter which saved me buying her new skates (for one season at least). High recommended!

Anne Simpson: We have been using them to sharpen our family's skates for a few years. Always very happy with the job done. At first I was apprehensive as it's just in someone's garage, but had heard about it from word of mouth at the Hockey rink. Now we just message him and drop the skates off, and most times they are ready the next day. Very easy to pick up and drop off.

Nick Findlay: Shout out to Tyler for the amazing customer service. Contacted me same day as my order was placed on a weekend when there was an inventory issue with my pro stock selection. We Chatted for a bit and changed my order slightly to re profile the blades to a Zuperior profile & a 7/8 Z channel cut. Received the blades in a couple days to London in late December. After 30 times on the ice I am amazed with the results In my sons skating abilities as well the edge retention. They are still performing like they were brand new. Jeff Robinson: Seriously people. There’s a reason NHL teams and players use these guys. I drive in from Brantford to have both my sons and my skates sharpened. Don’t believe that getting skates sharpened with the same ROH setting is the same from one place to the next. I was in a bind recently and both sets of my sons blades needed sharpening so I went by a local place in Brantford and had one of them done. Kid skated for one shift during a game and came back to the bench and knew I hadn’t taken them to Tyden. Next day my wife drove both sets in to Tyden to have them done. Great place and great guys. 100% recommend.

Chris Hastings: Everyone local knows to get your blades sharpened at Tydan but I recently bought a pair of blades for my daughter. In her words 'I dont know, I just skate way better.' I cut my hand installing them the first time and have reduced the amount of times they need sharpening. If you buy new skates, get a pair of Tydan blades and save the originals for synthetic ice or the pond.
JimmyTheSoundGuy: Highly recommend. I’ve been playing the game 30+ years and I’ve never tried profiling. I contact Joel and spoke with him about my playing style and what I was looking for speed, agility, etc etc. We discussed my weight and current hallow which was 7/16th’s. Joel recommend a custom profile based on my skill set and we also switched to a 5/8 hallow since my playing weight is around 150lbs. I order the stew Sunday and was on the ice with the steel by Tuesday night. In addition I’m not in Canada and reside in Los Angeles. Great service, great product and Joel is super knowledgable. If you are into elevating your game you should give these “wheels” a shot.

Captain9014: About 30 years ago, I bought a $70 pair of household scissors. About 5 years ago, they finally got dull and I had them sharpened at a place in Waterdown. Lousy - no difference. I'd given up getting them sharpened again until someone recently mentioned Clint's service to me. Tried him out, and what an amazing difference! These things cut material just by touching it. Paper, plastic film, food - wow! I fully expect another 30 years out of them. The guy knows his business, and there was me thinking it was a lost art.
