From the initial responses from Crystal, which were timely and helpful to booking in a time and date I was really impressed. Then on the day Blaine turned up when stated, and not only did he do the job he also highlighted a number of issues we had with our system, even though it had been inspected a few weeks prior. He didn’t need to do this, since not his job but he was honest, helpful and took the time out of his day to explain. Definitely will use again, in fact will not even look elsewhere. He was thorough, professional and passed on some good advice.The only issue I had was with scheduling the appointment, the woman on the phone didn't mention it was an after hours call service I had reached I thought it was the actual business. She scheduled for the next day 9-12 noon. Wasn't till that morning we got up early and the call from the office around 8:30am said that service starts at 10am Sunday and there's a $69 call out charge because it was called in after hours which wasn't told to me by the first woman. As a repeat customer I felt a bit disappointed at the additional cost but kept the appointment which didn't get started till around 12:30pm. Some training outside of business hours needs to be addressed. Thanks.

I booked originally service for a later date, but then realized that my septic had to be pumped urgently as there was a smell and other signs of it being at the capacity. It was pumped out half a year before by a different company and I was not expecting any overflows. I called Broughton's and asked what could be possibly wrong. They suspected a clog and made arrangements to send a crew on a very short notice. Their truck showed up first thing in the morning and Ian took care of the situation, pumped out the tank and cleared the clog. I am a very happy customer.

yan wizler: This is my first time hiring Ian for a commercial building inspection. He showed up on time despite a 5 hour travel time, was very polite and professional. Upon inspection we found that water had been seeping through the metal roof tiles, had accumulated on the inside roof floor and was captured by plastic coverings laid on the floor. Seller never disclosed this issue. Issues arising from this included bad indoor air quality, a need for complete roof installation, mould remediation and allergen sampling. The building being old, also required asbestos removal. No one, looking at the building could have guessed the amount of water being retained in the roof and the degradation of air quality. Due to his commitment to give excellent service, he saved us from purchasing a problematic property, highly overvalued for the problems observed. Very experienced, honest & highly recommended.
